Thanks for the detailed explanation.  I never actually read the list of taxes and fees included in the airline ticket....not even on domestic tickets within the US.  Perhaps I should start.  It makes sense to just roll it into the overall price of a ticket.  Makes it easier for the consumer.

You may be surprised to find 8 or 9 positions apart from actual ticket price, which often is NOT a biggest item on the list
