There is a lot to be said for making contact with a boy whom you have had experience previously. During my recent trip in February, staying in the Complex I had a good time with one that I had encountered in September. He was from Laos, 20, and spoke some English and knew how to please me in bed, during the three nights I had him with me in my room at the Zing. Unfortunately he had to go Back home to sort out his visa, and he didn’t appear again till I had to leave. I thought I had found a substitute with a nice looking boy who via google translate told me he liked to top and let me kiss him in the bar. The reality was that he was very inexperienced with gay sex and was also nervous when we went to my room. I had to terminate the liaison with a small tip and spent the night alone. This has happened to me very occasionally over the years and is disappointing when you have only limited time on holiday.

On serious note , I used to take unspent money with me but if I have more than 1000 left I just exchange it  back in the airport  to some usable currency, on last trip in Sept I was pleasantly surprised how little I lost on such an operation.

Regardless the saunas in Rio are a lot of fun to hang out in and watch/check out the eye candy.  I can’t think of anywhere in the world like them.  Also they are immediate gratification...with grindr you still have to arrange an actual time/place to meet, deal with flakes, etc.

Why single out garotos who may be a bit “long in the tooth” for their ptofession? There are plenty of advertising escorts here in the States and elsewhere who have been plying their trade for well over a decade and some may say that they have long worn out their welcome. Goodness, I had near 10 boys living with me at one time and not one was effeminate (other than me).  They were as manly and as masculine as any guy I met in Harlem, Brazil or Spain.
