With his passing, our gratitude along with Michael's comments is surely all that needs be said.

To be clear, he never owned gayguides.com   He did own the gaythailand website for almost 9 years. He ran the site and the board. He had help from his long time companion in the beginning and then he did it on his own. He got tired of the constant updates code requirements (remember, it was a profile site and not just a forum). He was going to close it down completely and I asked him to let the forum continue. The profile section of the site was just too old to update easily. However, I have always loved the forum. He kept the name and forwarded it over to gayguides.com with the full forum in tack. I did remove posts earlier in this thread regarding this as I was unaware he shared that information with anyone other than a few close friends but there is another thread on another site about this so I wanted to clear things up.
He encouraged me to take my first trip to Thailand many years ago and met me there and showed me around Pattaya. He was a good host. We traveled together over 4 continents. He had no tolerance for anyone who treated the boys in an unkind way. I have never met one lad that he went with that did not say how kind he was to them. He was kind to them and to me, and that is what matters to me.

There are only a few customers at the 4 host bars and a few at the 2 go go bars. There is  no competition between them, at all; wish there were!

I know. Lots of articles were cleaned up years ago but the ones in Thailand change constantly and those need to change. It will be done.
Bar sections are there based on where I go.   I mike Maggie Choo's and go there for the gay night. All of those sections can be totally added to by owners of the bars, clubs, saunas, etc. They add their own listing. This was done to keep the information accurate. However, nothing is sure fire. For example, if you own Telephone, you can add that listing to the site and with all the information. Totally free. No cost. However, when I do it, it takes time. For example, the gay Bangkok area took weeks.
Agree other cities need to be included and will. You see all those cities listed?  Every one of them I wrote and it takes time. Other cities coming for sure.
Yes, and thus why we used Word Press Listing Software so owners can add their listings. If they close, I can easily remove.
Nope, can't happen. The listings below is a Word Press Addon that is EASY to operate and add and fine information. To put anything in the articles requires constant change.

in Atlanta, Georgia of Covid. Jim didn’t post but was a well known raconteur.

A very good friend of mine and a long time poster on this board passed away in the USA. Firecat traveled with me to several continents and I have never met someone kinder to the boys he met. He is going to be greatly missed!

I met Hubba Bubba on several occasions and enjoyed conversation with him. He led a fascinating life. He will be missed.

Saiy is gentle and playful. I only saw him for an hour while he took a break from Classic boys and visited me in my hotel on Suan Phlu. He asked for 1,000 baht and I was happy to pay.  I seem to recall he said he would do an overnight for 2,000. I think he expected to be fucked even though he is a top, and he was relieved when I told him I was fine with just kissing, hugging, massage, and lots of oral. He was shy and a bit business-like at first, but soon became enthusiastic and joyful. I liked him very much and hope to see him again when I go to bkk in December. He tells me business is very slow at Classic Boys and he only gets paid if he has a customer there, so I hope this review might get him some customers!

Places like Toy Boys have always (at least in recent years) marketed themselves as 'boy bars' rather than just gay bars and female customers were always more than welcomed. Not that all the boys were quite so enthusiastic about that. I recall that one night, on a recent holiday, one of my regulars, a very handsome gay boy, broke off from his group of ladies that he was partying with in Toy Boys to come and have a quick word for a couple of minutes. I asked him if he was having a good time and he wrinkled his nose with a pained expression as he complained 'tonight I have to fuck lady' haha
