witty reacted to hank75 in Boys and their friends
I understand and fully agree, with the one caveat that the boy in question has been asking to visit my home country - in which case, most definitely he is the one on vacation not me. Yes of course I have the pleasure of his company, but I already have that in Bangkok which is the overall more enjoyable location for me.

witty got a reaction from sglad in Taking boys on a trip outside Thailand, steely stares of disapproval
Being a seventy five years old is very different from being in his 40s, notwithstanding one's self-esteem. Viagra might help, but still...

witty got a reaction from vinapu in How crowded is Boyztown and Sunee currently?
Poor people are everywhere in Thailand, but since Isaan is probably the biggest region in area of combined provinces that are largely agricultural, the pull of the bigger cities will be more than from the other parts of the country. Hence the higher percentage of gays in Pattaya and Bangkok etc. Gracias por la vida.

I understand your point but even if you tip very generously chances are it will be always that thought ' he spent so much on a meal , it would be better if he gave me 1/3 of that in cash.
In June I offed Tawan guy and tipped him generously but deservedly 4000 for whole night. Next day invited him to Mango Tree / my idea , not his / for a dinner before his bar opened, tab came to 1700 and all of the sudden I felt that 4000 were very stingy for all that steam we had together for such long time and looking at his face I had impression his thoughts were about the same.
Good bye hug was a bit wooden too, different from what we had before . Never again , meal was excellent but that aftertaste not so much.

you seem to have pre-conceived notions about Moonlight based on what you hear from us. It may save you time and money but if you don't go you will never know.
Don't make mistake I made with Tawan. Even if I like bigger boys for first 8 trips I did not put my foot inside because comments I was reading on various fora. When finally braved door , what I saw was not what I heard before and soon was on Tawan monodiet LOL

There's a shoplot between The Venue and @Home bar. The map above is too simplified, not taking into account the other adjacent businesses.

perhaps you should stick just to a water, make sure it's not too wet

Perhaps your blood sugar is low
And your breathing is shallow
The lure ahead can be risky
Especially when one is frisky
After a shot of cheap whisky.

For local produce in the neighbourhood market, Thailand is cheap.
But once you go for imported stuff, even counterfeit, it's no longer value for money, especially when you factor in the exchange rate. Same same for their duty-free outlets.
Fortunately their hotel rates remain very competitive.

truth well known already to ancient Romans ' buyer beware".
On another hand box could be the same looking but of better material and workmanship so not exactly the same.
I have 2 sweaters which are looking the same, even from close distance. Only when one touches them realizes that one is cashmere and another polyester / cotton blend.
At times I'm asked by friends " which one you are wearing today , cheap or expensive ? ". They all like answer ' cheap one, I wear expensive only when I 'm going to see people I like"

witty reacted to bobsaigon in Please help me
There's an ex-bf in Thailand who, long after we parted company, contracted HIV and subsequently TB to go along with that, plus several ensuing complications. And there's a fellow I very much like in Manila who really needs an operation on his heart in order to continue breathing. And there's a fellow from Africa. I have known him and his family (all now in the US) for more than 50 years. His brother is facing foreclosure on his business unless he gets some help.
Should I help these people? That's rhetorical. I am definitely NOT asking for the opinions or advice of anyone on an internet forum. To help any of the guys I mentioned, or not to help them, or to help someone in a go go bar who says he needs rent money, the decision is certainly mine alone. If I have the money and I want to help, then I help. If I don't have the money or think I'm being scammed, then I don't help.
C'est tout. Up to you, na.

I really can't understand why someone would find the pingpongs a bad thing. Almost all of the lady agogos have them. I have never heard a thai boy complain that it would be degrading. On the contrary, most thai boys love every kind of game and play and especially if money is involved and there have been alot of smiles and laughter everytime I've seen someone throw pingpong-balls.

We didn't have a clue about your being a power bottom. With six phone screens lit simultaneously for them to view straight point during the orgy, I bet the soft red light ambience of the back section of bar had an early Christmas decoration. At 300b drinks and 400b tips for each lad, the bill could have easily been 5,000b. That's the way to go old chap... Keep it up!

Used to have more of those pics but are archived somewhere.

They all look great above but as far as I'm concerned , all look much better in the flesh.
As for zombie dress for Halloween party - it's idea wasted on those guys who look much better undressed than dressed ( about three I can state that with certainty ) as anybody and anything, never mind zombie.

witty reacted to ChristianPFC in Learning the Language
Continuation of language discussion from retirement thread
www.gaythailand.com/forums/topic/11985-retirement/
I would not want to live anywhere without being able to read the language. For me as an introvert, reading is the most important means of information intake. I would rather be able to read and write in a language than to listen and speak if I had to choose.
As soon as I knew that I would be spending more time in Thailand, I took classes in Thai (2010/2011) and now (2018) the same for Taiwan/Chinese.
I agree with everything anddy said about learning Thai (grammar and writing/pronunciation quite straightforward).
I'm not good at tones, but tones are not crucial for understanding. I can understand romanized Thai, which has no tones. You can argue that I know most words because I have seen them written in Thai.
