    1) Indicting an ex president is a political minefield, especially when you have a congress which will 100% interfere all they can.

    2) Even if indicted, Trump can still run in '24. He is also the most vindictive pig imaginable so expect reprisals against all concerned should he win in '24.

Not saying they shouldn't indict him as hey definitely should but I can understand why they are being careful. It's time for Democrats to take the kid gloves off and play it as dirty as GOP does as I can't think of much worse than another 4 years of Trump.

Handling Trump with kid gloves is only making him worse because he interprets it as them being Afraid of him..... This is a country of laws, and if someone breaks the law, WHOEVER they are, they are prosecuted and tried.   And regardless of there being no precedent for this, he MUST be indicted and charged, regardless of whether it prevents him from running.  If we can get rid of cockroaches, there must be some way to get rid of Trump ?    Imagine 2020 replaying over again in 2024 when he loses and does a Repeat act of 2020, only THIS TIME he may work in his favor....I am so fucking sick of this guy and the attention he seeks every single day.   We must get past Trump !

  2. Trumps announcement about his impending Tuesday arrest was just him taking his supporters temperature, and testing what the reaction would be in social media and if he still had a posse that would risk jail time for him.....  Trump seems to know how to manipulate everyone especially the media, and I am starting to believe all these  cases against him will fall flat, and he will go on to be the GOP 2024 nominee.

Can someone please tell me WHY the judicial system is so afraid of Trump,  even when they have slam dunk evidence against him ?    Somethings wrong with that !

  3. Seems all the Santos hoopla and outrage has died down, and it appears like nothing was done about him.   Afterall we are putting all our outrage energies into the impending but Never coming indictments of Trump.     Guess you cant be outraged about 2 things at the same time ?

Its all just politics and headlines .  I dont really think anyone is concerned about accountability for anyone ?

My dearest and darlingest Sister In Cock, I'm just not quite sure this is a good idea.  As you pointed out, we'd all be alcoholics in no time.  Isn't my life tragic enough already?

May I suggest a more pleasing alternative?  How about every time Trump says WITCH HUNT we perform fellatio?  👄

    (Not on Trump, of course.)

When you think about it, it actually is a bit like washing our mouths out with soap. 😋

I would have to vet the Receivers to make absolutely sure they werent Republicans !

  5. There is no doubt Trump is trying to CONTROL the narrative over his indictment,  and as is usual for him, make himself look to be the victim,  doing Nothing wrong yet hounded and pursued by the left and the justice system....  If you have a snake, you need to cut its head off to stop its destruction and indicting and convicting Trump would do just that.

I would be very surprised that after ALL this, there is not a single prosecution of Trump....  It certainly would be a slap to the faces of Americans and prove to them that their country is NOT in good hands. and that.its all just political theater in the end. and the most corrupt will always have the power. .

If Trump is convicted of felonies my guess is that Joe Biden would likely pardon him.  Trump should spend time in jail but I think Biden will weigh the divisions in the country and conclude it’s not in the nations interest for a former President to be jailed.  Just my guess

Since Biden is such a Pro-democracy guy, and Trump is in favor of destroying it,  I cant reconcile the notion of Biden EVER pardoning Trump for his actions of attempting to end democracy and the rule of law.   And Biden needs to be cognizant of his own base and not focused on pleasing Trumps base.   Bidens base would never re-elect him if he let Trump off the hook after everything Biden has said about him and him needing accountability.   Where is there accountability in a pardon ?    That is just ludicrous.

Yes, but we learned from the January 6th insurrection, there are active duty military and police officers who hate the USA so deeply they'd support an autocrat like Trump.  The Secret Service has been infiltrated as well.  I stopped saying to soldier I met along the way ... "Thank you for your service" until I know more about them and their activities or know them personally.

Those people need to be weeded out and exposed....  Surely there are enough underccover Pro-democracy agents that can find and expel those Pro-Trump Maga's?

The swamp is everywhere and it must be cleaned if we are to make any progress with a stable democracy....   And all of those like Kevin McCarthy nthat are working to further a Pro-Trump agenda must also be erradicated from public office.   They are only serving the Maga's, NOT the majority of America.

  8. 13 hours ago, Mavica said:

If he's indicted, he's not going to be cuffed and led into court or a police station.  He will be informed of the charges and the Secret Service will accompany him as he surrenders, is processed and released until the trial.  Tump will make this a media event, though.

Of course he will,  but thats the best part, when Trump is on the Defense and has a huge platform and spotlight, he rants and rants and rants, and the things he says usually INCRIMINATE him,  so let him bury himself.   And we should NOT fear his base.  Our police force and military is MUCH larger that his radical base and can take that group down in a nanosecond.  If those people continue their stupidity and make that choice to rebel,   then they should pay any consequences.  As I've said, FEAR is our only enemy now and feeding Trump ALL his just desserts will show his minions "WE dont play !"    Its a good step to ending all this nonsense we've been buried under since 2015 .    It will also be interesting to see and hear how Putin and all the other worlds Dictators handle Trumps indictment.   Come on Tucker, bring it on !    CLEANSE OUR COUNTRY, CONVICT TRUMP !!!!!!

  9.

Lets start a "drinking game".   Everytime Trump is going to say WITCH HUNT in the upcoming months,  lets all take a drink...  But be aware if your libation is alcoholic, with as many times as he will be saying it,  you'll be dead drunk on the floor pretty quickly......

Also, keep in mind, that if you listen closely to Trumps rhetoric lately,  he is setting up his base up for COUP 2024, and his plan to STEAL that election is already in motion.

And NO DOUBT, DeSantis is just as despicable,  but I am not sure he will go to the same lengths that Trump will ?     If either gains power,  we will be living in RUSSIA....

Donald Trump says that he will be arrested on Tuesday, March 21st for the hush money paid to Stormy Daniels. He is already trying to make a circus out of it.

My opinion is that the case isn't worth it. Why give Trump this platform and notoriety when you know that he won't be punished significantly for the crime?

Personally, I'd be happy if we never heard from him again. Maybe that's a good plea agreement- charges dropped if you disappear!

The problem here Is that you WILL hear from him again, and again and again, until he accomplishes his goals of making America TRUMP WORLD.....  Regardless that the case is SMALL,  what he did was illegal and he MUST be shown there are consequences.   The only reason he is the destructive force that he is IS because he was allowed to escape any punishment for for his past illegal behaviors.     I dont care if he stole a Snickers bar from the bodega,  I want to see him PROSECUTED...   And any public uprising that may come from it MUST also be dealt with.  We cant show these morons that we are afraid of them...   Fear is the enemy now.    We have to start somewhere, and I truly believe once the first shoe falls from Bragg,  ALL the other shoes will follow, and Trump will be Buried in indictments.....  Its like putting your little toe in the water first before cannonballing into the pool.

  11. That's what Marjorie Taylor Greene is asking now that she is on a crusade to help the imprisoned insurrectionists from Jan, most of whom HAVE PLEAD GUILTY....

In the GOP's attempt to whitewash the narrative of Jan 6th to clear a path from Trumps 2024 run, she is leading an investigation on the imprisonment and prison conditions of those found GUILTY.  She is maintaining they were WRONGED and are simply patriots with bad timing who found themselves in the wrong place on Jan 6th....

Sarah McLachlan singing that sad, sad song In the Arms of an Angel would be the perfect face for her campaign....

The only person that should really be locked up in a prison cell is Greene herself... or maybe she can find a job with Fake Fox News ?

Does seem like his problems aren't nearly over.  Will Murdoch ultimately fire someone?

    Bartiromo?  Carlson?

For now, the fake news chickens have come home to roost.

As long as Fox maintains the "audience" it has and the "green" keeps rolling in,  NOTHING will happen here except Fox will incur huge financial damages. Their audience loves to be lied to and validated by Carlson and the other "sly foxes" who KNOW the truth but will Never tell it....  It you watch closely, Tucker  always has a little smirk on his face when he is spewing out his "knowing Lies".....He knows he is getting over on them and that they are clueless fools.

  13. Back in the day, I was a total whore, frequently backroom sex clubs at every chance I got.   I wouldnt miss a weekend "going out" to the club to suck cock......

But I was discussing with a friend the other day, now at 72 I am perfectly content to stay home on the weekend,  in my pjs, get into bed  relax and watch TV.  I too seldom think of sex unless I see pics of hot guys with big bulges or if I watch porn on occasion.   I just dont have the Desire.

To the same token, I used to jerk off a few times daily, usually in conjunction with porn watching, but now I can go several weeks without masturbating,  but when I do, I can still come 2 or 3 times in a day if I choose....

Aging is designed to keep you in check.... I dont mind it.       But I still, ON OCCASION frequent the sex club for the eye candy, and if I get lucky, its the cherry on the cake.

It goes way beyond the father murdering his own son and wife--as horrible as that sounds, it gets even worse than that. The murdered son was in legal hot water for killing someone else, and the father used that fact to state that others had a motive to kill the son which he killed. Also, their housekeeper died under mysterious circumstances with family around. The family of the housekeeper was awarded a settlement from the insurance company, and the father actually stole that settlement!!! The killer son was never brought to justice from a criminal standpoint, but his testimony in a civil case which was pending could have damaged the father. I didn't even realize the surviving son may have killed someone himself. Many people were outraged that the whole family seemed to consider itself above the law--and the whole family appeared to be quite depraved.

They sound like the Redneck version of the Trumps.

Apparently, Rupert Murdoch was unusually forthcoming in his depositions for the Dominion lawsuit.  He admitted he knew that his 'commentators' were peddling false information about the 2020 election.  He also said he could have kept Rudy Guiliani and Sydney Powell and their damaging views on Dominion off the network, but that he did not.

It also turns out that Paul Ryan, who sits on Fox's board of directors, implored Murdoch to "move on " and "stop spouting election lies".  This adds to Murdoch's problems, as it opens the door to shareholder lawsuits.

Some also wonder if Murdoch's admissions will drive viewers away from the network.  Maybe so, but I wonder if their viewers actually look to Fox for factual information or for 'alternative facts' to support incorrect beliefs they already hold.

Somethin' tells me Murdoch's problems are about to get bigger and hopefully make the cost of spreading lies so expensive that few, if any, can afford it.

If the punishment is to fit the crime, FOX FAKE NEWS should be shut down and put out of its, and OUR misery......Their bold and intentional LYING to the American people for THEIR financial gain is not Free Speech when the results are an Insurrection...   If there are any rightwing Devotees here,  I apologize if I have assaulted your sensibilities, but your Wizard of OZ has got to Go !.....

  16. Santos seems to be yesterdays news, or being swept under the closet carpet hoping people will forget or just get over it.....  Like everything else the politicians do.

You do not hear a word from them on the revelations from Ruppert Murdoch himself that Fox News knowingly assisted the GOP in spreading their FAKE NEWS Big Lie narrative..... Not a single word.   I guess McCarthy is too busy handing over Jan 6th surveillance tapes to Tucker so he can re-write THAT script ?   What a fucking pile of shit these people all are.

There used to be some politicians, even in the Republican party, that I could respect, such as John McCain. Those are becoming a dying breed. I'll never forget the 60 Minutes story which showed that Congress members, who used to spend most of their time in their offices, now spend most of their time in their party's campaign buildings drumming up support.

Getting support doesnt seem to be a problem for me,  its what they want support FOR that is the problem !   👎

Even though he was not part of his administration, Lindsey Graham would be my choice for "moral worm" poster child of the Trump era.  His flip flopping was even more craven than most.  Like when having a mob attack the Capitol he serves in was just a bridge too far for his ladylike sensibilities.  Until MAGA world turned out to be okay with Jan. 6th, and Miss Graham was, too.

Fiona Hill is an example of a real lady.  And I'd even argue John Bolton was a real gentleman, too.  Both worked for Trump thinking they could do some good.  Both acted like adults in the room.  Gen. Kelly is another.  I admire Hill in a way I don't admire Bolton.  She was willing to testify.  He saved his judgments to make money on a book.  But whether I agree with every conservative thing they say or not, I feel they were working for the American people.  Instead of just working for Trump and advancing his lies.

Well, perhaps Miss Lindsey is one of those that Fani Willis pegged for Perjury and will be receiving a nice, fat indictment ?

Wouldnt that be Grand, bless her heart ?   And then in a nice, cold prison cell, Miss Lindsey can finally find herself a Big, strong man to actually call her own.....who fucks some sense and dignity into her. ......  Make mama proud for once.

I agree. Trump's MO has always been to hire unscrupulous people to perform illegal and immoral acts, then throw them under the bus when they're caught. Choosing to work for someone like Trump shows both poor judgment and poor moral character, even if Trump's the bigger sociopath.

Clearly, they all made a CHOICE.... and that choice hopefully will be their downfall !

I answered this question on the other politics forum (now closed) and I'll answer again here.  I believe Biden should not run given his age.   However, if he does run and becomes the Dem nominee I will enthusiastically vote for him.  Echoing another posters comment, I see no potential republican candidates out there that have the chance of earning my vote.  Trump?  Forgetaboutit!  DeSantis?  Too anti-gay/anti-black to be considered.  Anyone previously associated with Trump in his administration (think Pence, Haley, Pompeo, et al)?  I would never consider them due to the very poor judgement they exhibited in deciding to work for Trump.  They will be forever tainted.  Anyone that has ever praised Trump during his presidency is tainted goods as well as far as I am concerned.  That takes people like Cruz and Rubio out of the running.  Kasich and Jeb Bush seem relatively normal for Republicans but I don't see either of them running.

As far as Plan B for the Dems?  I do like Elizabeth Warren, Pete, Klobuchar & Gavin.  Not big on Harris though.

Trump winning the Republican nomination would be a godsend for the Dems.  Literally any Dem nominee would beat Trump easily.

For me it wasnt their decision to work for Trump, it was their COMPLICITY to Support and ASSIST him in his anti american agenda and spreading of Lies.    It makes them no better than him  IMO.

  21. 7 minutes ago, unicorn said:

Biden is already showing signs of cognitive decline, and should not run again. My choice would be Klobuchar. Yes, if Biden ran again, I'd have to vote for him. There don't seem to be any intelligent Republicans left.

It really has nothing to do with the "intelligence" of the GOP,  it has more to do with their goals and "path".....   how can anyone support that ?   Yet I know a huge swath of the country does. and therein lies the danger.

I agree with your main point.   But I'll add a few qualifications.

Arguably, the interest of the "owners" is the community itself.  I'm not even sure who the "owner" of that website is.  Or whether there is one.  And it's pretty much none of my business, is how I view it.  That said, I don't think that site is a business in the sense that it makes money for an owner. If anything, the opposite.  As I said earlier in the thread, after Bill died a member of that community generously stepped forward and said he could help fund the operations of the site.  Basically because he hires escorts and likes what it does.  At least mostly.  Not necessarily, or perhaps not particularly, the politics forum.  So in that sense you could stretch the limit and malign it as a friendly dictatorship.  As in:  have fun!  But just don't talk about politics, or it's off to the gulag for you!

My guess is the tension, or conflict, has more to do with different ideas of what "community" even means.  I agree with @Latbear4blk that the politics forum was a small, and often annoying, part of that community.  Which is primarily built around an interest in male escorts.  That would be very different than the broader LGBTQ community organized around groups like HRC.  Which sees the Gay community as a political community, and their mission as advancing the rights and political interests of Gay men.

Having lived in both communities for a few decades, the spirit of Company Of Men goes like this:  let's have a pool party!  Let's go to a stripper bar!  What escort did you hire?  Was he cut or uncut?  Nobody much cares whether the cock is attached to a liberal or conservative.  If anything, the fact that the typical escort is younger and more progressive than the typical older and more affluent client who hires him suggests that it is best to keep your mouth shut.  Or, if you can't keep your mouth shut, then at least keep it primarily focused on other activities.  😛

I know Bill basically lived hand to mouth for much of the time he ran that website.  Hence  my involvement in helping him create a volunteer donor base for the site.  Much of his income from the review website was based on some percentage of the clicks from people who spent money on Flirt4Free or whatever webcam websites he had up there.  So to that extent, simply having less people who visit the website and can click on shiny objects, or shiny boys, that generate revenue is bad for business.  But I don't think the forum itself ever did, or does, operate that way.  That was the escort review website.

Getting back to the OP topic,  all this analysis aside,  if the opinions of the management lean MAGA-right,  I would not/was not interested in participating in that rhetoric... And it seemed the Politics Forum operated in that bubble, so for me, Syonara Baby !     And now that the Politics Forum has been erased, the rest of the site holds no interest for me, and most of the other forums get very light traffic,  usually only the usual suspects and an occasional Rando who thinks it might be cool to make his first post.
