I am experienced traveler to Sousse, Tunisia and would like to present you my recent findings & approaches.

It certainly could be a scam, but I have also found the guys on garotocomlocal to not be the savviest businessmen in the sense that quite a high number do not initially respond, and then respond sporadically. But in SP (not Rio) I think it is beyond doubt that the guys on garotocomlocal are (to many tastes) handsomer/sexier than the guys at Lagoa. I had a lot of requests during my first trips to Brazil and Colombia. The last two years I tried a new policy. When I am over there, I make clear to them that I do not do international transferences, and that if they insist on asking me for money I will block them. Since then I had zero issues with the Brazilians, they only invent accidents while I am visiting. The Colombians are harder to learn, I had to block two of them.

Indeed! There are also great options in Laureles. And in my experience, in Colombia you will always pay tourists price for good food. I am not very fond of the local cuisine, although I embrace it as part of the experience.

So many good restaurant options in Poblado....granted, tourists prices....but I've had some amazing pizza, tacos and chicken parm than anywhere else I've been

1. I personally prefer to stay in Laureles. It's less touristy (although only a bit less nowadays) and the prices tend to be lower than in Poblado.  It's considered safe, with the usual precautions (like not walking alone at night or flashing your latest iphone). 
2. Like floridabob already said, uber is the safest option, but I used didi, easytaxi and indriver in the past with only the occasional, minor problem. 
3. No GP sauna afaik, but you can subscribe to @EventosGayMed on twitter X to get the latest updates on finca parties, popper sales, gay massages, .. 

Nooo....Brasil on a dead day is more satisfying, sexually, than PVR.....PVR can be fun, at times.....but no where as good for sex as in Brasil on a bad day, lol

@Young11  Yes. Chapigay is literally how the locals refer to the neighbourhood. Chapigay colloquially is the barrio within Chapinero where all of the gay saunas, bars, discos and restaurants can be found.
Chapinero barrio is everything between Calle 72 (to the north) to Calle 26 (south), and  between Calle 1 (above in the the hills) to Avenida Cra 30 which is technically the main North - South transportation conduit in the city (and where the new metro line is being built).
Chapigay zona is a much more condensed. You can focus on the area between Calle 66 in the north to Calle 58 Bis (precisely the street entrance to Theatrón) in the south. Everything is located between Carrera 13 and Carrera 7 to the West and East respectively. 
So if you book something within walking distance to these locators, you will be just fine. To be fair, there are other places outside of this neighbourhood, but this should be enough to keep you busy for a first tour.

This is my 2nd trip in as many months....I've not felt a need to go anywhere...Grindr and Mileroticos has kept me more than busy....the guys I've met for 70k-140k don't seem to be in a rush. We hang out, drink, play sex games and fuck like crazy...no off fees, sauna entrance fees, blah, blah blah......only pain in the ass is registering them at the front desk, but it's worth it for safety, especially the 1st time meeting someone.
