Day 8

 

I feel like the worst boyfriend in the world. Today is Valentine’s Day. And five months ago I booked this Sex Tourist Vacation without regard to the most sentimental of all holidays. And now I wake up in the arms of a money boy, and my boyfriend is alone, 7,500 miles away, probably wondering what I am doing on Valentine’s Day.

 

OK, in all honesty, I don’t feel that bad. My BF and I are both unsentimental people. We don’t care (as much) about Valentine’s as we do our actual love for each other. He knows about my ways here in Thailand, and he probably has company at our house right now. Knowing him, he probably doesn’t have company (really). He’s a saint, I am not. He knows this about me, and he loves me anyway. That’s modern relationships for you.

 

Its 9 AM. I wake up Cambodia boy. He looks much better today than yesterday. He’s glowing, happy, smiling, and hard as a rock. We have quickie sex, unshowered, a first for me in Thailand. He still smells like he is freshly showered, I probably don’t smell as fresh. He does not seem to care. After, he whispers “I love you, Happy Valentines Day.” I say nothing but kiss him deeply in response.

 

We take a shower together. He is giggling and being playful. I have my boy back. He wears the clothes I bought him, and we venture out to breakfast. I choose the Casa Pascal (Fine Dining) buffet this morning, and is just a short walk from Aya heading north on Second Rd. It is more expensive that my previous buffets at 240 baht per person, but it has bacon (my holy grail), and have more upscale items than the Lek Hotel or Apex Hotel buffets. Hawaiian fried rice, sausage, ham, cook to order eggs. Rice porridge, croissants, and other pastries. Cambodia Boy piles on the food, probably because he knows I am saying goodbye to him after this, and won't be able to eat as well on his own. Lots of selfies with the food, without the food, by the buffet, by the restaurant.

 

Back at the Aya, he makes me promise to see him again this trip before I leave Pattaya. I don’t know how, I leave in 4 days, and there are so many boys to see (I’m a whore), but I make the promise anyway. I give him 2500 baht. He is grateful. He then tells me the bills he can pay now: 600 baht for his room for the month, 800 baht for the gym membership, the rest for groceries and other things. I walk him out, straight to the Family Mart at the end of the Soi, where I needed some toiletries. I tell him to grab a few things he may need for the house. He gets some shampoo, soap, condoms, chapstick, lotion, face cream. Tools of the trade to keep himself beautiful for us. I forgot how much I paid. It is not enough to save him I’m sure, but it is good enough for today.

 

Aya again, I call home. BF is having fun, and is hanging out with friends. Glad he is having a great time. I tear up when he says he misses me.

 

I fire up Grindr, my sentimentality quickly fades away. I get some Valentine’s Day Line messages from money boys of vacations past. Yesterday, during gym time, I messaged Xboy Thai guy, asking him if he was busy Valentine’s night. He told me no. I tell him to not go to Xboys tonight and just go to me and spend the night at the hotel. I tell him I will pay for his off fee. He is grateful. He confirms today, and I tell him I am switching hotels to the Marriott today.

 

I feel that 3 nights at the Aya Hotel was long enough to assess if it was a cheap acceptable alternative to my usual hotels. Before this, I’ve always stayed at the Marriott Pattaya (it's literally just next door). It is usually 3000 to 8000 baht a night, pretty pricey for sure. I cash in 100,000 points to stay in the hotel free for 2 nights: Feb 14 and 15. I figure spending the 14^th there would be good, since I’ve already chosen the boy to spend the love holiday with, and why not at a ritzy hotel like the Marriott. If I am going to be fake romantic with a money boy, I should do it right.

 

I pack up my stuff. I need to do laundry, my clothes are all dirty. I check out, all prepaid, so no charges. It was 1500 baht a night prepaid in advance, so I felt like the Aya was a tremendous deal. Apart from the thinly walled doors, its proximity to Boyztown, decent facilities, no joiner fee, and comfortable bed and room made it a good choice. I’ll be back for sure.

 

I take the two minute walk from the Aya to the Marriott. The Marriott is an American-style hotel, probably a 4-star in USA standards. I check-in, they make a photocopy of my passport, put a deposit in my credit card. They upgrade me to a high floor corner room with a huge patio balcony and a view of the pool. There are chocolates on the bed, and a hand-written note that says “Happy Valentine’s Day.”  I eat the chocolates coz I’m a fatty on the inside.

 

I change to gym clothes, and before heading up to the hotel gym, take a 7 minute walk (for cardio) to my favorite laundry, the Laundry Express Shop, between Sois 16 and 17 on Second Rd.  I've used them twice before, pretty reliable. if you take it to them early enough in the day, you'll get it before 4 PM same day. I take 10 t-shirts, some underwear, 2 short pants and 1 long pants to the nice uncle who heads the shop. He asks me for my hotel name and room number. He said he'll have it done by 4 PM today for pick up. I walk back to the Marriott and head to the gym. It is fairly extensive, complete cardio and weight equipment, and has a spa on the second floor. I get a good workout in, and buy a 100 baht protein shake at the spa.

 

I Line Xboy Guy to meet me at the Marriott at 5 PM. I take a short nap, and wake up at 4:00PM. I pick up my laundry. 330 baht for everything. I give 350 baht, no change needed. Clothes are folded and looked pressed. Not bad at all. I head back, take a quick shower, and soon I meet Xboy Guy at the lobby.

 

Xboy Guy, as you may recall: the Angelic face and a body that will drive you to sin. Looks so young until you undress him and think adult things. Boyish giggles and manly groans. Dichotomies. I see him at the lobby, he rushes over and hugs me. He looks even younger in the daylight as he does at night, as he wraps a well-muscled manly arm around me. Dichotomies. I ask to see his ID to make sure I am not a pedophile (too late but oh well). I read, January 22, 1995. I’m safe. Can’t be too careful. Though his pic on the ID looks like he is 12 years old. 

 

We get to the room. He goes out to the balcony, and looks at the view. Goes back in, we lay on the bed. Google Translate to the rescue. This time, he does try to say things in English, before relying on google. He hates being a gogo boy, but his coworkers are fun, and the mamasans are very protective. He says he is still new and doesn’t have many friends in Pattaya. So he has a lot of time for the gym and not much else (which explains the amazing physique). He goes to the movies alone. He said he just saw Deadpool and thought it was funny (heck yeah).  He does not go out, only drinks alcohol with customers. Keeps to himself mostly.

 

He asks if I have seen snow. I say yes, and he tells me his dream is to see snow. I tell him there is no snow in LA where I live, but ski resorts three hours away have them. I show him a picture of me at Mammoth Ski Resort a few weeks ago. He asks about snowboarding. I’m pretty sure there are no Thai words for “snowboard”. I tell him my favorite place in the world is Yosemite Park. I show him pics of me climbing Half Dome. He wants to go with me to climb it.

 

We turn on the TV. We watch a Thai News telecast. I ask him what are they talking about. He tells me using google translate. He translates what they are saying by translating it on Google Translate. Lots of communication layers there. I enjoy this roundabout way to watch the news. He changes it to a music channel.  A Thai ballad comes on, he tells it’s a “Song sad”, gesturing with his hands, pretending to cry and frown, interpreting the mood of the song. He does his best to translate the Thai song for me. Guy misses his girl, wants her back. I Shazam it, and download the song. Next song is also a sad love song. This time a girl misses a guy, and wants him back. Shazam. Download.

 

This is an extra-difficult conversation we are having here. Lots of translating, lots of misheard words, mis-pronounced dictation, mis-translations. But we are bonding, and understand the difficulty, and we both are patient enough and understanding enough to commit to the process. We make a connection to each other because of the difficulty, instead of it being a hindrance. He seemed fully committed to know me, and is making every effort to make it happen. Language barrier be damned.

 

We do this for 3 hours. It probably will only take two English speakers 30 minutes to finish the same conversation. But we were both proud of each other for at least getting an idea of what the life of the other person is like. But it is now 9:00 PM. I tell him I want to go to Xboys and pay his off fee, and stay for the early show. So we make a mad dash to dinner at the Coffee Club next to the hotel at the Royal Garden Plaza. I get the Pad Thai, he gets the chicken curry. We head over to Xboys. He explains the situation to his boss. We sit down at my usual spot (couch next to the door). We get drinks, the show starts. He again wraps himself around me, like we are watching a movie. A very sexy movie.

 

The boys are all onstage. I tease him that I want to off another guy to have sex with him. He is at first shocked, and then laughs realizing I was joking. He then proceeds to identify the bottoms (he said in case I grow tired of him, laughing). He has a lot of fun seeing the dance numbers with me. Giggles at his friends who are onstage, and tells me a little bit about the boys that he knows the best. He is having a lot fun, as am I, seeing him this way.

 

I pay 950 baht for the drinks and the off fee. We leave and hold hands on the 5-minute walk from Xboys to the Marriott (he didn’t care, so I decided I shouldn’t either). I get a lot of greetings from hotel staff, but no one checks ID. We get to the room, he immediately undresses, and then undresses me. The lighting at the Marriott rooms are so much better than at the Aya, because that magnificent body was looking better tonight. We shower together like last time. 

 

We have sex, but the sex this time is more happy, more joyful. Lots of smiling, giggling, lots of tenderness, no urgency to cum, just there for mutual pleasure. He cums first, my face again. I eat up some of it (I didn’t care, it tasted great). I clean up, fuck him, and cum in the condom. Clean up again. I can't believe you actually use Google translate to communicate with Thai guys.

 

Most of the time Google translate can't translate properly.

Yeah it's pretty challenging. We would have to repeat ourselves numerous times using the speech to text function to get the correct words translated. Lots of repeating, frustration, hand gestures. I find it was useful for me to paste my translations on http://www.thai2english.com to ensure that my point is correctly being conveyed. That website gives you a rough word for word translation of your Thai text. Not useful for sentence structure or syntax, but it ensures that the keywords of the idea you're trying to convey are all there.

 

And it sure beats the alternative, not talking at all. If I had this technology a decade or so ago in my semester in Europe back in college, I probably would've gotten laid more (yes, it's all about sex for me haha).

Oh, and your mutual efforts to communicate via google are touching, showing the affection. I can relate to that. As for the practical side, it must be really difficult, whenever I use it (which is rarely now as my Thai gets better) the translations are just so crappy...

Hahaha you guys are awesome. And here I thought you guys are gonna complain about my overtipping the boys, or my choice of hotels. Didn't think you'd have a problem thinking a young guy would choose the News to translate to me, or cost of the sales rack items at the GAP. My problem is I pack in too many details in these things. Maybe I should cut down on the deets in future installments. At least I can entertain you on a lazy afternoon.

 

I use the dictation app Dragon Dictation to "write" these reports, and then just do a quick edit and grammar check (not totally successful, when I reread these) in Word. No, I am not a writer! It would be embarrassing if I were, as it's obvious that I am not good at it (as some of you point out). I'm better with numbers (hint).

First of all anyone who suggests he should do better research is just ridiculous. How many people even know there is a Gap in the Royal Garden Mall. And of those how many have ever entered.

 

I do know it exists and have been in it once. As I remember they had tables with stuff discounted 70% and more .

 

Is it possible he spent 700 or maybe 1700? Who cares. For me the point was that he loosened his wallet and bought the boy some new clothes . In other words treated him like a human being instead of a piece of meat.

You are not only one who is overtipping boys / me too /  but if you happy with what you got in exchange, why not. I'm still smiling at some overpaid memories , why not others ?

 

Your choice of hotels is your preference which some may share and others consider wasteful spending but nothing wrong with what you had chosen - all locations are excellent for reason of your trip i.e. men hunting. If you based yourself near airport and made long daily trips to Silom ,that would be  questionable.

 

No idea what GAP prices are but certainly great bargains in Thailand can be had, nothing controversial here for me.

 

I was seen in Pattaya by few forum members so no doubt I was there and still have no slightest idea where Royal Garden Mall is. So it looks I need to do better research as well, Lol
