Soi Twilight revisted

Recommended Posts

Since Gaybutton has generously invited re-posting from his site, I recommend post #34 in following link that is the collaborative work of Christian and Fountainhall. It resurrects an idea for a prototype bar specifically for Soi Twilight by the late Shameless Mack in the detailed manner that only he could have mastered.

Yeah... not a bad idea.  Any change that raises the excitement of customers is positive. And it has a probability to become mainstream sooner or later.  I don't see why boys would be opposed to working nude and be touched, as long as they don't have to ejaculate.

Boys in brown ie. police may not like an idea without substantial contributions to their tea fund . Boys themselves probably don't mind but they need to know that some money is in such an idea. Why they should like to be touched here and there for free ?

Sometimes in bars I see farang with hand in boy's undies and not even boy drink on the table. I assume tip will follow but from various  posts on the forums we know it's not always a case.

In short , money needs to follow fun.

Sorry I just don't buy it. I spent as much time in Twilight as anybody . Becoming friends with boys is never an issue. But of course they are there to make money, it's a business. Why would going to a bar and paying for a drink cause grief. I don't think anybody goes thinking it's all for free.

The grief would come if the new or short term sex-pat thinks "true love" is in the process of blooming.bucking More experienced farang would be better educated.

I agree.

Of course if the falang has enough money to spend for the long term on the boy the "true love" can be in the process of blooming as long as the cash continue to flow.

I don't think buying drink or more is a problem or cause of grief. What frequent complaints are is constant pestering by mamasans or sometimes boys planting themselves uninvited to buy them a drink .

In such a case I think not as much  money is an issue but rather being seen as easy target making this or subsequent visit even worse.

I know about some farangs giving certain bars wide berth because of that and while I never had such a problems in bars I know a feeling each time I enter Boyztown. One of boys from Scandic I had massage in the past remembers me and literally hounds me  for another round for last 2 or 3 trips.

An American friend, when it came time for payment, was reminded, in no uncertain terms, of the purpose of the boys working the Soi Twilight bars: "Not make friends.  Make money".

This should be emblazoned in stone at the entrance to the soi.  Might avoid some grief later on.

Whyyy?  Do the entrances of casinos have warnings that gambling is addictive and might lead you to losing all your money?  Do they tell you that the house always wins? ;)

And even if there were warnings, as there on cigarette packs, and if they were to make the price of cigarettes prohibitively expensive as they do in my country, does it stop people from smoking?  No, I don't think so.  You know why? Because everybody thinks he is different.  Everybody thinks he is special and an exception to the rule.

You're a free agent who goes to Soi Twilight or Boyztown willingly and voluntarily, with the agency to say YES or NO and everything else in between.  Whatever happens next, as they say, is up to you.

Actually, the World Health Organization has ample evidence that it reduces both smoking and smoking-related deaths.

If sex for money instead of friendship is troublesome, what can we think of health care for money, or food for money?

Will doctors care for us or food stores give us food out of friendship?

And... God's forgiveness for money, like Catholicism had before Luther?

Reducing smoking is not stopping smoking.  I know as an ex smoker.

You seem to be saying that although you consider yourself an ex-smoker you still relapse on occasion.  I wish you well in your effort to stop completely.

Nevertheless, the WHO data is pretty clear that increased taxation is correlated with people who stopped smoking or did not take it up in the first place.

Good luck going forward!

Thank you.  I am an ex-smoker, meaning that I have stopped smoking. But not because of warnings or increase cost,  but because I kept trying.  It has been 38 years since I last smoked, and I am blessed by never having to smell even a molecule of smoke in my normal environment, except in very rare occasions.

I meant this as an advisory to inexperienced sex tourists who are hoping for, or feeling they have arrived at, a romantic attachment with a bar boy.     They know they are paying for sex, but at the same time hoping it's more than money/sex. That's all.

Especially if your boy is not gay, but gay for pay.

many more experienced gay for pay guys are actually very good in finding what you like and delivering it. I know it's not an affection but rather pride of having job done well but I'm taking it.

Classic phrase of Jack from Senso when asked  what he likes better girls or guys " I like girls  but I like hour hand too " always brings smile to my face

Its always great advice to not let your fear to intervene with you having fun. When it involves two human being (for some people three or more lol) its always more complicated than just a business transaction. There are boys who are grateful just to have a good manner customer to off him, and god knows how many of his customer treat him like a piece of meat purchased in the market. In the end, if u feel happy, and the boy is happy, thats all that matter, and money changing hands is just a formality of the multiple sharing that happens.

I agree with most you said ,all is true as long as you maintain the 'short time fun' relationship attitude once you showing more serious intention to the boy and he sense that you are starting to develop real affection to him then the troubles start and you may fall to the boy's greedy trap.

I do agree that many customers treat boys like a piece of meat purchased in the market and it's very sad they do deserve to be treated with respect and dignity.
