When that clock ⏰hits Midnight on the 31st 🕛where will you be ?

Is there a difference to where you were last year in ...2023?

Will you be in a nightclub,dance bar ,at home , asleep 😪💤or in Go Go bar in Bangkok?

New Year does nothing for me , feels just like another day.

My New Year Eve is last day at home before vacation and I like to have  few of those during year

Most probably in my room after work, same every year for the last 10 years.

Holidays are just normal days for me and others working in Hotels. 

Especially here in Dubai, people (expats and tourists) tend flock to places with great fireworks as usual but all I see is the trouble exiting these venues, last time did I reach my flat around 5AM then worrying if I'll be able to wake up for work later that day at 9AM 😵‍💫 hahahaha

 

I will be in CEBU in the Philippines.

Probably watching the fireworks from my tiny 32nd floor balcony that faces the sea.  They say that the majority of the fireworks will occur towards the sea.

For the 10 seconds of the countdown I will make sure that noone can kiss my lips - as I am VERY superstitious about the folklore and myth "that your first kiss of the New Year should be from the one that you love and if not, your lovestory will be fucked".

It is now almost the one year anniversary when the person that I loved with ALL of my heart decided that he would not give me the first kiss of the transition from year 2023 into the new 2024 New Year.

So, I want that my heart and lips are reset for the new 2025 New Year, thus allowing for the termination of this awful spell.

I know that I am too much of a romantic and I should stop this superstitious nonsense. Perhaps, that could be my New Year's resolution.

You right on both accounts.

At least you seem to realize we are in 21 century N.E. not B.C. and there's no place for superstitions in sane person mind.

But  being even more romantic is very welcomed. Hope you won't be watching those firworks alone but find suitable kisser, Ok let him wait until 12.04 am with that kiss or even better let him kiss you at 11.57 pm. as everybody and his brother knows that last kiss of the old year hastens arrival of new year by about 3 minutes.

I wonder if it also works other way around - kissing love at midnight ensures turning him / her into stranger?

You could try kissing a frog, and see if it turns into a Prince! If you're  lucky!

Much the same as the last 40 years when I wasn't on shift working, in bed asleep (hopefully).

For me, I am adamant to watch the fireworks that are being displayed in front of IconSiam.

I spent quite a lot of time on google maps researching/searching for hotels along the river that would give me a good view however they were mostly booked out or ridiculously expensive (would have loved a room at Lebua but extremely pricey). Then I thought about standing on the bridge that crosses the Chao Phraya River near Saphan Taksin BTS station or just going to IconSiam but both options would most likely be super crowded so I opted out.

Then I started looking for hotels that were a little further away, that were still in my price range, that I could still see the fireworks - Furama Silom was an option, however I found out that you can't use the balcony, so no point, so then I settled on Pullman G, requesting a room on the river side. No balcony, but I should still be able to see the fireworks. 

Not overly exciting but that is where I will be.

Having Shabu Shabu with friends at home. Welcoming the new year with 🥂🍾

Probably eating at the food market and visiting a temple of 2 in Ueno Park in Tokyo.

I'll be asleep, I hope, assuming that those d**n fireworks don't keep me awake. Rest and relaxation is important bearing in mind that 2025 will be even worse than 2024.
