I'm happy to hear that. He was lucky; botched cosmetic procedures aren't always reversible.

Indeed, these were jaw inserts, which, luckily, could be removed!

Ever since reader left this board, we haven't had many reports. He was a regular patron of those places. Yet, by all impressions from their social media, they're going strong.

Saphan Kwai indeed going strong as @macaroni21 says. I'm up there about five times weekly when I'm in town. Here's a capsule report:

It's about a 25-minute trip from Sala Deang (47 baht each way with change of train at Siam). Lots of ice candy both ways.

My most frequent stop is LoveBoy (formerly Phetboy) Massage. Large roster of Lao, Myanmar, Thai and occasional Vietnam guys.

Second favorite is 15M Masssage with somewhat smaller but well curated selection.

Third is Star Masssage with not dissimilar crew.

All of the above are no more than 5 minute walk from BTS stop. Loveboy and 15M shop fee is 400 for one-hour oil. Minimum tip is 1,000 baht with a handful a boy higher. Fee to the shop is 400 baht.

Star shop fee starts at 500 and escalates with type of room. Minimum tip also 1,000.

Loveboy is open 24/7 and other two I believe close at midnight.

It's been my experience that Loveboy and 15M are most likely to have guys hanging around shop during evening hours. Star not so much.

You can reserve guy you see on websites on same day without paying deposit.

Other shops I've visited include One Spa (15 minute walk), KMan Spa (5 minute walk), 27M, Home Spa and Phoenix (all about 25 minute walk). Shop fees range from 450-500) with minimum tips in1000 to 1200 range.

There's another small shop, BT House, about a 20 minute walk, on same road (Sutthisan).

I encourage visitors to sample the shops in Saphan Kwai.

And for the record, my favorite shop in Silom is Sun Massage on Silom soi 6.

Hope that helps!

Thanks to Floridarob for passing it along.

Do you know @Riobard ?

Oh Keith, you asked a simple yes-or-no question and got the entire Sound of Music soundtrack in return. 😂

Different screen name, same verbosity. Either he thought nobody would recognize him, or he simply forgot his old login credentials. You can change your name, but that unmistakable trail of verbal diarrhea follows you everywhere.

Welcome back, Riobard! 😂

And speaking of reincarnations, I wonder if Peter might be lurking somewhere under a new name too. Perhaps trying a little harder not to be recognized? 😏

Clearly amateur identity archeology knows no bounds and I am sure the infinite array of related likes will nevertheless require readers to stretch their imagination to discover anything meaningful in your drivel, as well as a visitors visa to crazy town: population 2 so far … get a room and some shitty pizza.

And isn’t it the height of irony to devote several paragraphs to complaining about verbal diarrhea? Apparently, brevity is something best preached at length.

Adieu to you and you.

Oh, Riobard, still can't manage a simple yes or no, can you? 😂

“Amateur identity archaeology”? Good grief, nobody needed to dig. You arrived wearing a fake moustache, a tutu, and announcing yourself with the same old verbal 🎢

And now you're reviewing my pizza without ever tasting it? How very you. At least my customers come back for more. Can't say the same for your audience 🤷‍♂️

“Adieu to you and you”?

Another fake farewell performance? Careful, you're going to wear out the revolving door....but please do😘

For somebody so remarkably obsessed with diagnosing verbal diarrhea you seem extraordinarily capable of keeping it flowing. Case in point, Paragraphs entering 2-digit territory. Time for 🍕, as mods are sometimes wont to say.

If you’re so certain of my identity, why are you so desperate for confirmation? You seem unable to take no for an answer. I suspect you hear it rather often. And why are you acting as tantrum proxy for demanding an answer? Are you his spokesman or his bitch? Symbiotic, trending to outright tag team parasitism is the beat I’m getting. Get that room; you deserve each other.

Desperate for confirmation? Hardly. 😂

Keith asked you a simple question. You're the one who turned it into a Broadway production. Nobody needed confirmation. Your writing style announced your arrival before you even finished the first paragraph. And darling, your purse fell out of your mouth. That was another dead giveaway ☠️

Counting my paragraphs now? How flattering. Too bad you don't put as much effort into making yours worth reading.....by others.

As for hearing “no” often, is that really the best you could come up with? All those words, all that vocabulary, and you end up with a schoolyard insult. What a waste of a perfectly good thesaurus......

And weren't you leaving, Again? For someone who says “adieu” so often, you certainly have trouble finding the exit. Perhaps your next reincarnation could come with a map and a gag. 🙄

I hadn’t realized my writing was such an important part of your daily routine. Just imagine all the other crap you could accomplish if you weren’t so preoccupied with me.

And let’s not confuse a genuine question with a provocation conveniently disguised as one. Nobody was seeking information. He was fishing for a reaction, and you obligingly took the bait. I was having fun; you’re running in circles, all that bouncing around on your pathetic little stage.

Now do try to untangle your strings. You have a mountain to climb, no?

Dismissed.

And now “Dismissed”? Good grief, you've gone from Julie Andrews to headmistress. Do you actually hear yourself?

For someone who insists he's having fun and couldn't care less, you certainly spend an extraordinary amount of time explaining just how little you care.... 🙄

Anyway, do let us know when your next farewell performance is scheduled. The last three didn't seem to take....

What will your next screen name be, Same Windbag, Different Username? At least it's honest.,,,,🤷‍♂️

TCS Spa at Ari branch is very clean and nice. Service is good too, but be prepared to pay min tip of at least 1000. Boys are good quality too.

Correct me if I'm wrong but TCS is a SS massage place, right?

Rob, this is very helpful. Do LoveBoy and 15M still have mattresses on the floor? And I do remember also some steep stairs to the higher floors in 15M. Given my aging bones, I'm not sure either of these would be appropriate choices for me alas.

Jey Spa and Arena are my favorites in the Big Apple. Yes a bit more pricey though than the SK establishments.

Also, I remember some talk of a Bangkok-style massage house opening in Pattaya -- where wares are listed on Line for appointment. I don't know if that ever happened, did it?

Hi @Marc308 - you are correct - It's name is:

Bliss Massage by your men.

ID line : blissmassage

Note that the shop is on the east side of Pattaya - just east of Sukhumvit. When I enter the address into the Bolt app, it has the following travel offerings:

  • Mocy motorbike = 49 baht (one way)

  • Basic car = 109 (one way)

Unfortunately, I still have not yet made it over there so I cannot give you a first hand review.
