Here's something I didn't know until last night. It had never even occurred to me that you might be able to take a boy "off" from a restaurant. I was eating in a gay-owned restaurant. One of the waiters was flirting with one of my friends. My friend asked the waiter what time he finishes work. The boy said 1:00 AM, but that's not a problem because he can be taken "off" just like the bars. I asked him if he was serious. He said yes and that several gay-owned restaurants allow it. Neither of us asked him how much the "off" fee is, but I would imagine it would be in par with the "off" fees charged in bars when someone wants to "off" a waiter.

Russia and Thailand seem to be moving toward more open Visa regulations. It is now very easy for Thai's to get into Russia and vice versa. Thailand seems very comfortable with this Katoy and gay residents. Gay Pride parades are in every city and seem to be well embraced. A recent Russia protest really disappointed me. I have had friends who have gone to Russia on a few occassions and said the boys there are hot and sexy but everything is very underground. Not true in Thailand. I'm wondering what this mean, the boy (I'm serious with him, and he didn't know it yet) is eager to bring me back to know his folks. Is it an act that he is serious? or it'll be easier for him to ask money from me in the future... for the family? I don't know. It's been a long time since anyone tried opening a go-go bar on Soi Day-Night, but Siam Boys is giving it a try once again. The location is the former location of the Red Dragon Bar, directly across from the Day-Night Hotel. It's a small, compact bar, featuring about a dozen boys. PHUKET: Two Peruvians were arrested at Phuket International Airport on Tuesday while attempting to smuggle 1.6 kilograms of internally concealed cocaine into the country. Police said that the drugs had a street value of about 4 million baht. I did send two messages, a couple of days ago, or was it three? - via the "contact us" page and get acknowledgments but no replies. Locals and holiday travelers have been plagued for nearly a year now as the city has torn up roads (yet again) to install new, supposedly high capacity drainage pipes. For many years, whenever there are heavy rains, much of Pattaya floods because the current drainage system cannot even begin to cope. Lord only knows what is coming up out of those backed up pipes. As a result, there are heavy traffic jams while homes, shops, and streets get flooded out. Of course, major pothole problems occur during and after each each set of rains because of the shoddy work that went into building the roads in the first place, and even shoddier work in repairing the potholes. …

Most of these arrests I read about are not arrests stemming from someone taking an under-age boy "off" from a bar. Most of these arrests seem to occur with local "farang" residents who make "arrangements" in their own neighborhoods.
