I'm with vinapu, hand luggage only. I tend not to change hotels, but I often change rooms in the same hotel! Next visit to Bangkok, I stay in Meredien on arrival, but when i return, having been to Cambodia, I am staying at the Banyan tree for a change, staying quite close to Silom!

This is great timing for the 60 day visa waiver! I'm booked to come to Thailand for 60 days later in the year so now I don't have to worry about buying a 60 day tourist visa or extending a 30 day visa waiver.

I scored at the Villa Borghese park twice, both during the daytime. One guy was a local, about my age (50’s), and the other was a young Colombian guy in his 20’s and hot! One of my better cruising experiences. We even went for a beer in the park canteen afterwards.

Got the same experience, when I return home to Philippines earlier this month before heading to Bangkok I chose to stay in a 4 star hotel instead of going to my house and but it was meh, I didn't find value for my buck. I also read some of Vinapu's trip reports where he do change hotel rooms and my first thought before was it will be such a hassle packing and unpacking your luggage each time. But when I tried it myself during my visit in Bangkok and including my return to Manila I chose to split my remaining weeks with a few Airbnb and hotels throughout, it was so refreshing to have a different view every now and then.
