The choice between Jomtien and Boyztown is the big one.
I have solution I came to few years ago by chance - by putting wrong date on reservation I found myself in possession of rooms in Zing resort and Copa for the same night, both non-refundable. Then moment of enlightenment came , isn't it great to have option depending on where I find suitable negotiator for border delineation between France and Netherlands ?
so in short, if one can afford, rent for 1-3 nights cheapest rooms in both Ambiance or Copa AND Zing Resort or The Venue and you don't need to worry when you finish the night. 7/11 to buy tooth brush and Colgate are close by here and there. For 60 $ you may have freedom of choice and save money on night transport between two and as a bonus you can get extra drunk knowing bed is steps away.
I did it two or there more times already and plan to do again whenever I'll be in Pattaya 2-3 days. For more than that easy 2 night here -2 night there is better solution.

In Boyztown, Copa is a good place to stay with very nice rooms. Copa is across the soi from Ambiance.

2 hours ago, Londoner said:Yes. The rooms are, if anything better than at Ambiance, including the penthouse ones. A friend stayed there a few years back and his only criticism was that it was more of an apartment block than a hotel in terms of front desk. He was a newbie and liked someone on the desk to review visitor IDs.
For my part, I wondered about the noise from down below. But the rooms...yes, excellent. Prices were similar to Ambiance's.
there's always somebody at the front desk at Copa and yes , they do check id of your visitors with humble exception of guests of undersigned for two reasons - I'm regular at Copa and my guest rarely can be suspected of having new driver license.

thank you very much but I wouldn't put much in store about my hotel and restaurant opinions . That's general, when comes to Pattaya yes, Copa, Zing Resort and Classrooms are my favorites in equal measure and I usually alternate between them. Copa's Executive rooms are big and feel like an apartment, great value for money.
Attention newbies , Zing Resort is in thick of the action but in quiet corner of Jomtien Complex. Don't mix it with ZING HOTEL which is on the main road , half way between Pattaya and Jomtien. Nothing wrong with that hotel , just bit further from the action also with excellent transport links either way.

and right by the Saphan Kwai station are G'beat on the left and KMan on the right.

reader , I reposted your valuable answer here because originally it looked as part of Dradens question. Hope you don't mind
Sort by "LATEST ATTENDANCE" and those who have made themselves available to work should pop first, followed by those who have last done so in descending order. Those who appear toward end of list may have stopped working. Shop has culled some who no longer answer calls or just moved on. I've had best success by choosing guys on first 7-10 pages search results.
- When messaging a parlor, is it customary to do it in English or should I message them using a translation app?
Suggest you translate first with guy's number, time you plan to arrive and massage duration time. As Stijntje says above, do this at least a few hours before on the same day. Bear in mind that many of these same guys also work for KK Massage down the road.

I ask visitors to remove shoes because I have very light colored carpet. No complaints so far.
I'm opposite , unless is snowing or raining cats and dogs I tell my guest ' you can leave shoes on' . Most do , some still remove, it usually depends of their own house custom.
My friend Henry usually visits on last Saturday of the month and always removes his shoes before I protest. Why do I ? because I suspect his sock changing day is
last Sunday of the month.

I wish them luck. Certainly it will bring more traffic to the soi ( and more noise)

That may or may not be the cause of my plantar fasciitis.
After years of pain I finally came across a solution! Compression socks.
Who would have imagined that such a simple solution existed?
I had bout of PF in early XXI century to a point that while alighting from train in Chicago , due to pain I collapsed on the platform. Solution- doctor prescribed one- custom made insoles and sugested another one - wear original Birkenstock sandals. Both worked to a point of being distant memory even if I walk around the house barefooted.

how should I approach this problem in the future? Should I just carry slippers in my car, then, if unexpectedly asked to remove my shoes, explain that I have a medical condition, and can go back to the car, get the slippers, and then transfer the shoe inserts into the slippers upon my return?
when we are invited and accept it we need to obey whatever house rules are. When invited to new place we also need to anticipate that some of the rules maybe weird to us.
So I guess an advice you put above is very sound one. If house rules are bothersome to us , right thing will be to decline an invitation or at least address it with host well in advance.

I will be back in Thailand end of June for 1.5 week after more than 1 year since the last visit. Anyone has up to date info regarding where the most sexy twinks are in massage shops in Pattaya and Bangkok ? I will of course go over some of the recent posts here also, but this may speed it up.
I assume prices are still the same? Drinks, off fees, short time? I came in 2014 for the first time and haven't noticed any significant changes really. Maybe Bangkok got more expensive.
Bangkok got bit more expensive but mostly in more "upscale" bars some boys may ask for inflated tip , say 2000 where 1500 was norm or 2500 up to 3000 instead of 2000.
Tips in massages are rather the same . Soi6, Silom and Suriwong are your friends and Saphan Kwai /Suthisan area where min tip oscillate between 800 and 1000 .
As for "sexy twinks " what that really means ? The same guy may cause sudden erection in one and screaming run away in another one.
Thailand and all SE Asian are not areas with shortage of sexy twinks

while wholeheartedly I agree with Thailand top position, rest is bit questionable - relatively low place of India or Italy with relation to Greece, absence of Mexico , USA , Spain , France , Turkey and UK and prominent position of Emirates makes me wonder.
Truth is , always those types of rankings produce results questionable results. Me and my travelling friends often recall similar ranking from one of luxury travel magazines in early 90 ties when Palm Springs California came on top of most desired cities to visit leaving in the dust behind Paris, Rome , Rio, Tokyo, NY and all other worthies including St.Olaf, MN

Unless changes are recent, it is wrong map: "Beach road and 2nd road loop" (red) is included to "From Jomtien and Pattaya" route (blue) and to "Naklua route" (purple).
I think both variants are operating i.e all the way from Jomtien to Naklua and Beach rd loop. Last trip I boarder one at soi Post Office thinking it will take me to Jomtien but it turned left on Second Road and terminated there. To be sure it's better to look for signs 'Naklua" or "Jomtien" on the vehicle

Good to know boys are still on the market so to speak. As for better days, it goes without saying , without bar to facilitate meetings with clients it must be much harder to get some business.
Not everybody is keen on hooking with guys on the street. Not sure about other apps but I combed grindr few times and saw only one advertising there.
As for opening at end of next month , question is : which is "next month" in that story. I wouldn't bank on it but will be happy to see I was wrong.

that's very commendable and they deserve it.

And the security line was horrendous. In 15 mins, I moved 10 feet.
Passengers are to be blamed. Instead of sitting home and tending gardens or just watching re-runs on TV they decided to travel inconveniencing airport personnel

However I was always on guard among the monkeys. You never know when one might come real close to snatch your bag or hat or phone just as you were taking a photo. So, I didn't feel relaxed and it wasn't a pleasant day.
reminds me my visit in Ulu Watu temple on southern tip of Bali, another monkey infested place . All my time there I kept one of my hands on my glasses

tourist who would disturb the local market.
most of us tourists anywhere are never part of local market. I'm always amazed how few farangs in comparison with sidewalks of Silom I see in Silom market in soi 10 and it only steps from Silom itself.

I never been there so have question - with those hordes it's even possible to visit those ruins or only marvel at them from the distance. I can imagine monkey's poo may be substantial obstacle to wander freely too.

not that it's not true but I wonder how do you know?
When we were neighbors in Quarter Silom and you pay visit to my room I can't recall any undressing part and it was before my first goin of thee day
Truth to be told I don't insist on guest taking off everything, quite opposite , I rather remove their clothes myself. After all it's me who invited them so need to be nice to my guests, no?
