In my experience, this is generally an accurate profile of who you typically meet. They are young men without much direction, ability to plan, very poor father role models, and not much hope for the future. Of course, there are exceptions to this but they’re few & far between.

So, a bit of an update. Jupiter Boy left, Pattaya Boy came, I missed Jupiter Boy and he missed me. He returned less than 10 days later and has been with me ever since. He is a lovely lad who I enjoy spending time with. His English has shown remarkable improvement. He has also made himself at home faster than any of my ex's. I have lived in Pattaya for nine years now, and recently spent five nights in Bangkok so will add a little to this report. The new "Pride" bar in Soi 4 was really doing well, busy every night, with live music which was not deafening. The small "Connections" bar/karaoke place opposite was also doing well. I still feel loyal to Telephone Bar which I remember from my earliest visits to Thailand 22 years ago, when they still had those ancient telephones on each table and you could call over to another table if you felt like chatting to someone. 
I visited Patpong too, and sat at the outside bar opposite Dream Boys, just watching the world go by, and of course watching the young gentlemen arriving to work in the bars. Went into Dream Boys for the show, with about ten other customers. A good show culminating in the big cock show, with about nine taking part and looking very proud of their significant appendages. It must be hard work to keep that up with so few customers.
The next night into Jupiter 2018 on Soi 4, where the show was also great, even a little more professional in their choreography, though no big cock show, but all the young men look like models, so handsome and muscular. Customers about fourteen or so. A great show, and where I sat I had a good view of the corner where the chaps do their exercise, pulling weights and so forth. That helps too! 
My last night I spent in the front of Telephone Bar sipping a bottle of cheap champagne, relaxing and watching people come and go, still a great atmosphere, but I do look forward (as I am sure the business owners do!) to the return of the big crowds. I might even treat myself to a better bottle of the bubbly to celebrate that! Hopefully by the middle of next year when the vaccine has been distributed across Thailand. This is nothing new, foreigners are ID checked at most major nightspots and ordered to buy bottles at the door. They also have an uncanny ability to distinguish other Asians from Thais, and spot go go boys entering with customers. The boys are welcomed like old friends, their customers are shown the priciest drinks. Fortunately DJ Station is exempt from this practice !

Is there anything there right wing enough for you? I find it hard to square the accusation of possible perversion of the course of justice backed up by a 220 something page report, an accusation made by a former Chief Crown Prosecutor, with your view that the whole business is "very tiresome". The man broke his own regulations. He jmay have lied. An inquiry with testimony from the witnesses who state he lied should surely clear that up. The man should have been fired on the spot.

Jupiter Boy and I decided to walk around gay Bangkok last night. We started on Silom 4. He has friends all over the area so I thought I'd let him guide the way. We ate at Balcony which was OK food. The restaurants in the area all had customers and people eating, drinking and laughing. We then went to Jupiter which has a guy singing songs. I didn't see how many boys where there as we had things to do and some friends he wanted to meet at Moonlight.
We were walking down the Soi when a boy yelled my name and came running toward me. It was a boy who lived in Pattaya at one point and now working as a DJ at a local place.  We had a quick chat and a hug and kiss before we headed to the gay gogo area. As we were walking, another guy yelled my name and we chatted. This time he said, "do you remember me?" which I said sorry. He said, in 1996 you met me on Fire Island and I was visiting for the day and you and I had sex in the dunes and you let me stay with you for a week. Holy Shit! After I paid the bill, another lad came over to me and asked me if I remembered him and I did not as it was dark. I took out my phone and he showed me his face. It was the boy I mentioned recently in another thread that I took from Future Boys who spent the first weeks with me in Thailand on my very first trip who turned out to be a ladyboy. Anyway, it was fun to see so many memories from years ago and both Jupiter Boy andI had fun. Moonlight was packed with customers. Freshboys was packed with boys. Bangkok Boy massage was up and running and had a good massage boy that said to say hi to @paulsf.
Fun night for me and Jupiter Boy who is now spending the night with his family for Loy Krathong. He has a key to my place and said, "I may just come by to say hi tomorrow." Humm. I guess that massage boy that wanted to say hi to @paulsf needs to be planned a bit more in advance!
