    Colombia requires yellow fever vaccine

Thanks floridarob for the tip...I have the yellow fever vaccine for a trip a few years ago in Africa...I believe you don't need a booster but I'll have to check.

As an experienced hand in travel to Brazil isn't there an airline from NY that has a stop in Colombia? I mostly use Delta either getting or using my miles.

Don't give up so fast Gaz69...the site is not very active now. If we are lucky our own north African expert Santiagodc might gives us the scoop. He hasn't posted recently...must be off on a sexy adventure.

  3. I have not been Gaz69 but a little searching has me intrigued...I'll be following this thread and hope to learn a lot.

    From Afar magazine:

Homosexuality is illegal in Morocco, but some areas are more laissez-faire than others. Essaouira has emerged as Morocco’s unofficial gay capital, with more openly gay Moroccans and expats than anywhere else in the kingdom. The region’s Chleuh Berber tribe is particularly tolerant.

Plus, in contrast to other parts of the country, you can bust out the beachwear—bikinis and short shorts are part of the landscape.

made it a state in 1959

    They chose statehood(just saying) 😉

Out of a total population of 600,000 in the islands and 155,000 registered voters, 140,000 votes were cast, the highest turnout ever in Hawaii. The vote showed approval rates of at least 93% by voters on all major islands. Of the approximately 140,000 votes cast, fewer than 8,000 rejected the Admission Act of 1959.

To travel quarantine-free, travellers must have received two doses of COVID-19 vaccine, a negative polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test result taken before the departure and upon arrival, proof of a minimum four-day hotel booking in Bali as well as health insurance.

They must also take another PCR test on their third day in Indonesia.

Still a bit onerous...but getting better.
