My translation reads "unlimited massage times".

That could be interpreted as hours of availability. However, I think your interpretation is more likely correct.

I've been using the shop regularly over past few years. However, on last visit manager pushed me to select from limited number of choices on tablet rather than from much longer list on website.

10000 baht for massage fee only i suppose, tips excluded? That would means if you have total of 50 hour massage, each hour of massage will cost 200 bath. Not too shabby. Of course, at 1.2k baht per massage for tips, thats another 60k. Still great value.

If you stay in Bangkok and go for massage at Phetboy every day, that's at least 300 massages!

10k divided by 300 massages = 30 baht per massage paid to shop! I think the shop management didn't really think things through.

300 massage times 1.2k tips per massage, 360k bath in boys tips. I dont think the shop lose much while having their boys get a steady stream of tips.

There's no doubt it's a good investment if three conditions exist:

1, You use use it requently

2. You find availability of guys you want

3. The shop isn't taken over by new owner or closes during the year.

I believe owner considered it carefully but was in need of a quick infusion of cash for whatever reason. This is one of the busiest shops in SK and only three minutes from BTS station.

Phetboy's cashflow problem may be unique to this shop, but considering how other shops are also discounting, it seems to me that the market for lower end massage may be over-supplied.

Meanwhile we have those like Glam's and Aurora pushing the limits price-wise. I wonder how healthy they are too.

When the massage business and their prices are as competitive as this, it's no wonder that more and more tourists prefer to hire from the massage shops rather than the bars. This is particularly so for the Asian tourists, as often pointed out. They may be more price sensitive than the Westerner who tends to use US or European prices as benchmark.

I agree! I am watching my budget nowadays because of inflation. It's more affordable to visit SK massage shops than off guys from bars in Silom.

The market is glutted with shops offering mostly straight top freelancers (tattooed). I haven’t bothered to review any of these as they don’t have something that sets them apart from the rest. Mostly it is about convenience and cleanliness of location.

Mandel spa, for example, is different as they offer unique services from the many other shops with their emphasis on sports massage and stretching (in addition to soft supplementary services.)

I learned today that this tattooed man (JJ), whose name was mentioned on the forum before, is also famous on onlyfans and Twitter.

JJ has been a regular at 15M Massage near Saphan Kwai BTS station. He is a very friendly and personable masseur with an easy smile and is conversational in English. His muscular, compact body is a plus.

You make the classic mistake of confusing Senso in Silom with Ssense in Suan Plu. You don’t go to Senso for the massage. Their massage skills are average. However, if you want a very decent to a very good massage (with extras if you want) you can go to Ssense.

An alternative in Sukhumvit, that is rarely mentioned here, is Kino-saki spa. Look out for Kensei. 

If you are strictly after massage only you can go to the Prime massage in Silom.

Definitely Prime Massage

Edit: sorry I just re-read and noticed that you want sex too. Prime is primarily very good massage technique by men, occasionally you get offered extra service but it’s not the norm.
