Chrome + LEGO: You can build whatever you like Tuesday, January 28, 2014 | 11:19 AM Google Official Canada Blog Cross-Posted from Google Official Blog Think back: you’ve just dumped a bin of LEGOR bricks onto the floor with a satisfying crash, and you have the whole day ahead of you to build whatever you want. There’s something pretty amazing about being able to piece together your ideas with just a collection of colorful bricks. Well, we think the creative freedom of LEGO bricks shouldn’t be limited to plastic bins—which is the idea behind Build with Chrome, a collaboration between Chrome and the LEGO Group that brought these colorful bricks to the web using WebGL,…

Until we have an SM/BD forum... 9 Bizarre Patents That Prove The Past Was A Nightmare Let’s hear it for the modern age. posted on January 30, 2014 at 11:03am EST Arianna Rebolini BuzzFeed Staff 9. Bathing Apparatus, 1902 U.S. Patent No. 714,659 / Via ipwatchdog.com Not actually a method of displaying disembodied heads, the Bathing Apparatus turned an “ordinary bath-tub commonly found in houses” into a steam or vapor bath. Sounds great! Very relaxing. Except, of course, that you’re trapped in a tiny enclosed space with a “suitable vaporizing apparatus” which is more likely giving you third degree burns than it is any sense of serenity. 8. 8. Progress. Barneys' Spring Campaign Features 17 Transgender Models 1234Expand Today, Barneys introduced its spring 2014 campaign. It's titled "Brothers, Sisters, Sons & Daughters," and it stars seventeen transgender models photographed in black and white by Bruce Weber. Dennis Freeman, who came up with the campaign idea, says that his goal is to create awareness of the trans* community, which has remained marginalized even as gay men and lesbians gain mainstream acceptance: "I was exquisitely aware that in the last decade, the L.G.B. communities have made extraordinary advances, and the transgender community has not shared in that progress," he told the New York …

  9. OK, I am still scratching my head over last nites finale of AHS, although I did enjoy the site of an aged and dying Jessica Lange. Her bellowing of the line "it's Knotty Pine" to describe her eternal Hell mad em laugh out lous, and then feel a bit sad. But I didnt undertsand how she was alive when we clearly saw Axman hack her to pieces and Cordelia identify the blood as hers, although it turned out to be goats blood.... And the dying/coming back to life thing got a bit tedious....although I was most happy to see Cordelia reign SUPREME.... However after such an intensly bloody and deadly season, I expected a bit more Punch from the ending.. Now I cant wait for NEXT …

  12. For those who have fixed savings accounts here in Thailand and your bank withholds the usual 15% for the government (e.g., those who have visa accounts where you keep your 800,000+ baht in a timed savings account), you can obtain a refund of the withheld tax and the procedure to do so is fairly easy. I read about it a year or so ago somewhere (perhaps Thai Visa) and wanted to give it a try. Anyway, here's how it worked in Chiangmai for two of us who went to do it together: (1) Go to your bank and get a document showing how much interest they've withheld. Since you can apply for a refund for 3-years back, obviously get one for each year (or, perhaps, your bank will …

Folk singer, activist Pete Seeger dies in NY Like so many folks, my political awareness dawned with a Pete Seeger tune in the background. He dropped out as a Harvard sociology major in 1938 after hearing his professor say ''Don't think that you can change the world. The only thing you can do is study it." With his banjo and message of hope he set about proving his prof wrong for the next seventy-five years. Will we ever see his like again?

If you are using Google Chrome as a web browser. Unblock websites with the "Hola" extension. It is a VPN without all the cost or trouble of installing software. Here in the USA, I could not access Badoo.com until I activated "Hola" and had it make mask my location and have me appear to be online in Brazil. Once I did that, badoo came up with no problem for me! http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=hola+google+chrome&sm=3

Well, first, I learned that the boyband The Wanted apparently isn't so wanted. Of course, I had never heard of them. But, seeing the picture made me want to meet the guy on the right. He's wanted! http://www.latimes.com/entertainment/gossip/la-et-mg-the-wanted-break-up-split-tour-20140122,0,3954887.story#axzz2rBqtB7vX After that, the Times found 43 hot men in Hollywood to drool over. Of course, they had to repeat some, so there aren't really 43. Besides Taylor Lautner, I liked #28. http://www.latimes.com/entertainment/gossip/la-et-mg-hot-celebrity-favorites-shirtless- Back to the Wanted, Siva is the one I like: Why weren't they wanted?

According to a publication in NewScientist, raw semen is a first class anti-depressant. No really, listen to this: "semen does contain several mood-altering hormones, including testosterone, oestrogen, follicle-stimulating hormone, luteinising hormone, prolactin and several different prostaglandins." Apparently the good stuff is absorbed directly through the recipient's tissues and lingers in his/her blood stream, so it's happy, happy, happy (at least until the STD tests come back). Lots of ifs, ands & butts here, so read the fine print and proceed at your own risk. http://www.newscientist.com/article/dn2457#.UuQSO7xMG1I
