MASSAGES and MASSAGE PLACES
 
Biggest joy for me in Thailand.  On vacations we should do what we do not do  at home and for me among other things  it means subjecting myself to massage mutilation.
Basically there are 3 kinds of them –oil, cream and Thai –this is dry massage and at times may be painful  it’s why used  word mutilation. If its too painful just say so to a boy and he will ease up.
 
If using oil or cream treatments keep in mind that you may  get rash from time to time from exposure to fragrances you skin may not like
 
I indulged myself with 1-3 a day , visited 18 massage places in Bangkok for and 4 in Pattaya for a total of 22. It means 26 massages  as at 3 places I had seconds with different boys / Arena, Bangkok Massage and Fan Club / and at Banana Club returned to the same masseur.
I do so many  for 2 reasons – I see direct benefit to my body and feeling well factor and credit them for fact that in 2 weeks my longest stretch of sleep was no more than 3-4 hours and still at no time felt sleepy or yawning. Second or may be even first reason are after massage services and  thrill of discovery of what happens and how .
 
And no , I’m not such a sex pig with enormous libido to overuse them , rather after massage I like  prolonged body contact and mutual feeling with more than that  at times. Always respect boys likes and don’t likes as some straights don’t do  kisses or being tough too aggressively in the anal area . As with every encounter , if both sides are comfortable, things are nicer and smoother.
 
I like my boys on muscly side and it’s easier to find them in massage places for obvious reason although had couple surprisingly strong massages delivered by skinny twinks and cute boys.
Over the years I also found my offs more pleasant with massage rather go-go boys.  Usually I go for long time off and feel that go-go’s are rushing things a bit . Likely reason is that bars are open longer hours so they can return and land chance of another trick while massage places are closed earlier like 10.30 p. m.-12.00  so for boys it like last minute overtime.
 
And so it was this time with 10 out 15 offs being massage boys. Not that all of those worked out very well but with new boys there’s always risk it will not and with  previously known  boredom factor sometimes kicks in / not this time though /.
 
Quality of massage places and number of boys available varies from place to place and as for boys even from hour to hour or day to day but on my pretty big statistic sample I need to say that all massages I received were very good to excellent with none of ‘ pat the cat ‘ quality.
Quality of massage has nothing to do with quality of venue itself , its just a boy’s skills and likely dose of chemistry between two of you.  / Or three if you are taking 4 hands treatment /
 I usually   opt for longer  1.5 or 2 hours treatments if available to avoid rushing things and  with view for some quiet or no so quiet  time together after massage .  In such a case you may watch the clock, either one on your hands or there’s usually one on the wall as sometimes  your  purchased time may be shortened. I do not think boys are trying to skip time , it rather comes naturally but if you pay for more time feel  entitled to use it. Usually I tell them do not rush massage as we have that much time for disposal. 
 
Extras were always offered, even if it did not look like throughout the course of massage - this coveted moment always arrived. Sometimes question was asked or sign-showed explicitly , sometimes it started as apparently random tough of your nether area, your wandering hands were not pushed away at certain moment, your foot was strategically placed where you could feel his pubes or you felt something hard pressing your behind somewhere,  but it always arrived.
 
Even if you did not shower together, boy was completely dressed during massage or positioned himself that you couldn’t tough him   moment of indication always came.  Now you know what I mean by the thrill of discovery. And you go from there depending of what is on offer and how you feel.
 
Cost of massage varies usually with quality of place  and kind of massage , it may start with 200-250 for 1 hour Thai to as much as 1000 for oil or cream at SENSO. Longer session obviously cost more but increase is not always linear and extra 200 -300 may buy you twice as much time.
 
As for tips , minimum tip is usually indicated on the menu, again sometimes it’s the same for shorter and longer courses , sometimes more it requested for longer sessions. If boy at regular places offers possibilities of extras he will indicate how much he expects or  if you will be instigator, he will ask how much you will give him.
 
If no extras were offered /requested I tip boy cost of massage, if he will became available for additional activities I tip either agreed amount if discussed or at least minimum tip but no less than 1000 per 1 hr. session even if minimum tip is less than that. For longer sessions I will add up to a minimum depending on length,  performance and original minimum tip and often it becomes  1500-2000.
 
Mamasans  if they did not help me , just facilitate administration, tip nothing, if they were helpful  50-100 baht.  At few places when mamasan  was handsome muscly man I tipped them 100 and in exchange requested a big hug –always a case at Bangkok Massage in Soi Twilight where both of them are type just described.
 
Below is description of BKK places I visited:
 
Sukhumvit area:
 
Guy Spa,  soi 19, ASOK BTS station, easy walk
Located in short sub-soi, no boys outside,  pretty nice selection of handsome masseurs with more than dozen boys available, mostly manly types. Took 4 hands massage. Shower in the room, before massage shower  alone, after with both of them, both masseurs undressed for most of session.  Great session, fun.
 
Uniman Spa – Korean Town, 4 th floor , soi 12, ASOK BTS, opposite side of Sukhumvit than other  three described, no boys outside, at least dozen available inside, mostly  manly types. Shower inside room, shower alone before massage , together after. Boy undressed very fast. Great session, my mistake I went there only  my last day.
 
Hero – end of soi 11, sign outside , no idea why some people are reporting place is hard to find. Easy walk from Nana BTS or take motorsai for a hop.
King of massage places in opinion of many, I second it. No boys on street, some in the garden inside compound, lots of muscly boys behind the glass wall, abundance of choice, helpful mamasan, no pressure to choose.
Small restaurant inside with view of glassed boys area. Lots of other customers , at times you may wait for room available. Treated myself to a VIP room at 1500 for 2 hour session, looks like hotel room with normal bed. Shower inside, boy undressed  and hard from beginning, showered together before and after massage. Great place and session. A must visit place.
 
Banana Club –soi 11 as well ,  underrated place, deserves better publicity. Boys apparently all gay.
No boys outside, big lobby so boys are at distance. Owner very helpful and I liked his attitude when he mentioned why minimum tip increases with length of session – to be fair to everybody. Less expensive than Hero. Went twice , first time only few boys on duty, second time more than dozen. Locker and shower outside the room, showered together before and after. Boy undressed all the time. One of three best massages on this trip, only one when went back to see the same boy. Became big fan of the place.
 
Malaysia Hotel area:
 
Magic Hands on Soi Ngham Duplee / there’s another unit closer to Malaysia Hotel as well on side street/
Few boys outside, good mix of twinky and manly types, more inside. Shower outside the room, showered alone before massage , together after. Big massage room with raised massage bed and mattress on the floor beside, very handy for after activities, well used by us. Not a  fancy place but very good , no rush  session. Boy undressed gradually during session which again I consider one of three best on this trip.
 
Sawatedee Spa,  City Court complex across the Rama 4 str
eet from Soi Ngham Duplee, easy walking distance from Lumpinee and Malaysia Hotels a little hard to find-see my Off to Thailand post how to get there.
Was there early , it appeared only 1 boy was available assigned to me. No boys outside. Shower inside the room, showered alone before and after, boy dressed fully and it was serious massage session I lost every hope for extra action but lose hope not!  After session offer come along with possibility of getting closer and get more intimate feeling of masseur power. All good then.
 
Sathorn area:
 
Aqua Spa – soi Pikun, little hard to find but really walking distance from Chong Nonsi BTS. Big place, no boys outside , only few inside but possibly more is available according to another report. Locker and shower outside the room, shower alone before , together after.   Boy undressed gradually during session. Great massage and enjoyable afters.
 
Arena –  short walking distance from  Chong Nonsi, on the corner of Silom and Narathiwas, on 3 rd floor.
Always few boys outside and more inside , mostly muscly types. Usually first place I visit in BKK in tribute of now closed HIS massage in the same building which was my first  place on my first manscapade in LOS. Went twice , on second visit much more boys than on first one. Shower inside of room, both boys undressed during massage , showered together before and after. Boys undressed during massage.
Advertising low minimum tip of 500 which includes shower, massage and hand job according to the website. You want more it’ll be more.  One of my regulars hails from there so I’m not concerned with selection but they have several types to choose. Both boys offed long time / one , my regular, twice / and on two occasions when I had massage there during day Arena did not charge me any off fee for taking boy out. Nice and generous. I have always good experience there although one of the  offs requested pretty steep tip after long time, idea of 5000 dismissed and sent home with 3000, did not seem happy and I’m still perplexed where such amount came from.
 
Senso  - soi Sala Daeng, short walk down the soi from namesake BTS station. No boys outside, when there 6 boys available, all grade A +++ muscular types. Lobby pretty small, so boys may be to close for comfort to some. Most expensive but also most classy place. 1 hr massage 990, room like hotel room with all bells and whistles, started showering alone but boy joined me  before I was finished, Showered together after session. Undressed early d uring massage . Good massage and lots of fun. Left place smiling.
 
Adonis – soi Convent , closer to Sathorn end of soi.
No boys outside, several boys available , good mix of types from twinks to very manly. Somehow I don’t recall shower arrangement but boy was a gem and I arranged for long time off in advance. Great massage session. For off fee was collected before we left place and included boy’s tip which was paid to him by manager right away. I like it as it protects interests of boy in case client will be tempted to screw things up. Along with Banana this is underrated place IMO.
 
Fan Club  - soi Convent, closer to Silom end of soi
Big place , few boys outside and many more inside, always good selection. Was there twice,  both muscular types but they have good mix. Nicely appointed, big  room, shower inside, showered together before and after and boys undressed for massage.
 
Silom places:
 
There are  many of them on both sides of Silom, usually with few cute boys handing leflets outside so decided to try two :
 
Relax Massage – in Silom 64 building on Patpong side of Silom.
Apparently straight place but boy was very nice , decided to be adventurous. From street level we went to place on 3 rd floor, showered alone of course, when in cubicle behind the courtain invited to lower by underwear . Massage was surprisingly good since it was delivered by pretty twinky boy whose fingers wandered randomly here and there at times. In deep conspiracy whispering he offered more than massage for tip of 1000, gladly accepted just for fun. Delivered nicely. Showered alone after of course. I liked massage and adventure so few days later  decided to repeat and try
 
Playboy Massage – on opposite side of Silom. Almost the same , lonely shower, good, regular massage, wandering hands his and mine and proposal in conspiracy. Lots of fun in hands of warm twink. As a bonus learned that next door is Internet café. Lots of fun for me and a boy.
Next door to  Tawan bar there’s :
 
SUN Massage,    few boys are sitting outside with more inside. Website shows few nicely appointed rooms but  for my 1 hour massage after lonely shower   I was placed in rather dingy  cubicle where boy delivered very good massage , one of three best I had on this trip.
 He worked so fast I was under impression he has 3 if not 4 hands. Boy was fully dressed but after few misplaced strokes  extra proposal arrived followed by quotation and acceptance from my side. Full dress became no dress and fun ensured. A little mechanical but still fun. Shower together after.
 
Soi Twilight:
 
Bangkok Massage – always several boys sitting outside, in May  I had boy assigned from rotation now it looks you have your pick. One of my regulars works there / the same I got assigned / so I dropped by for a chat daily , offed him 2 times  long time , on my first night  short time massage in my room, on last day got massaged by him at their place. So one may say I’m biased. Had massage with another boy as well. Very beautiful Thai décor inside. Most boys on muscular side, shower outside cubicle , showered  together before and after . Minimum tip = cost of massage, extras always offered and massages very good, never feel rushed there.
 
Bonny  - few steps down the soi, beside Dick’s café.
Similar format and pricing  to Bangkok Massage and similar type of boys. One of them was eye hunting me when I was dining at Dicks so we arranged for a massage , converted later to expected long time off , for some reason boy changed availability ,  informed me up front and reduced his price to short time rate - fair conduct.
 
X-Size Massage -  across the soi from Bonny, mostly twinkly boys so not my type, decided to give them a chance though and diminutive Cambodian delivered surprisingly  strong massage on  the big bed, shower in the room and showered together before and after. Only place where on the menu I noticed explicitly ‘sex massage ‘ whatever it means, price was 1000 if recall. Masage there wouuld be another great experience but  it was me who failed as twinks are not my  thing and its hard to enjoy things we don’t.
 
BBB Inn,  around the corner from the soi, massage boys available 7/24, many types , at times slightly pushy for  a deal if you are resident but it’s good humored  push. You can take a massage in your room and receive 20% discount or in their rooms if you are just dropping by. Bit more expensive than places in the soi with 1 hr massage at 600 and minimum tip 1000 but if you are resident turns to be cheap. Great if you feel bored during day, just go down and you have company. The same if you wake up scared in middle of the night, there’s always  consolator who will chase ghosts away. Great if your off did not work out for some reason or can’t stay as long as you’d wish, walk him down and grab next one from lobby.
 
Had one massage on this trip only, more for company than for massage as with 5 night spent there I feel obligated to buy at least one massage for in-house boys. / In May I had 3 in house massage there/.   But he delivered his part satisfactory reminded at times that he should pretend that carcass massaged is more important than TV in the room. Learned  too late that provider of one of three best massages is moonlighting there at night after his place is closed so missed an opportunity to host him in my room for long-time and there was right chemistry too.   
 
In PATTAYA during my 2 days I visited 4 places:
 
Magnolia –absolute queen of places there very classy place , massage room like higher end hotel room with massage table and king sized bed. No boys outside, you are shown on the tablet of who is available at the moment. Big bathroom , showered alone before and together after. Very good massage for most part of which boy was dressed  and positioned himself in such a  way it was hard to tough him so I thought it will be just a massage  but at end hope was restored.
 Work first, pleasure after was boy’s motto. Second part started with question ‘did you like my massage”  and  long answer  followed , at end an appointment was booked for a supper, breakfast and in between at my hotel.  Night part was not that great but this is not story for this massage thread – 100 % satisfaction here .
 
High class and prices are very reasonable – 1.1/2 hr massage in VIP room 900. It’s quite a distance from Boyztown, almost s at Sukhumvit, walked 20 minutes but you can call and they will pick you up or jump on baht bus. Since I walked to them  , after massage boss himself dropped me at Tukcom in his truck. First class service there never stops
 
Derby  at Jomtien complex,
 
Boys are sitting outside so you see who is available, big place, locker , shower outside of room. Showered alone befor , together after. Boy undressed from the start and , best body of them all I met this trip, it was like  hugging an Olympian ! Not expensive and great experience there.
 
In Boyztown itself there are few places but I used two:
 
Former Scandic Massage now BoyClub, beside Toy Boys. Mostly manly boys outside, spied one very muscly man boy.  Massage fee and minimum tip collected up front –sign that they may have troubles with non-paying clients.   Shower outside room, showered separately, massage great and using different technique but boy had underwear on till end of massage. Impressed with massage , body and undies content arranged to long-time off, turned not that great but again massage part was excellent.
 
Copa -  they always have friendly boys looking for business outside, on arrival one  even greeted me with “come to us , sexy men here” sporting nice bulge in his jeans but on day of my departure in the morning only 1 boy was available, again on twinkly side but I needed god bye Pattaya massage so went for it. Massage rooms are in hotel part sharing the same corridor, shower inside room, showered together before and after, boy undressed and surprisingly strong massage delivered by a twink. So left PTY happy thank to him.

THINKS I REGRET
There are always thinks we missed or did not do and regret later on. Here’s my list:
-went to Uniman too late missing possible great long-time off
-made 2nd visit to Banana to see boy again on the last day instead earlier missing , missing , missing him
- did not explore contents of bulge of Copa sexy man
-did not stay in Pattaya longer missing most of bars , their shows and boys as well as night stroll through the Walking Street.
-missed again SENSO spa in Thonburi but at least I know now where it is
- did not have a chance to off Yo #76 from Dreamboys once more/ he left for few weeks
-did not off boy from Tawan
-missed Super A and Nature Boy
- did not have a chance to share beer with resident or visiting members of this forum.
-did not made second visit to HERO
-did not off one handsome street trader on Suriwong
-did not spent any time with one of hosts in Soi Twilight host bars
 
Not all offs  were  good but I chalked everything off to  an experience so none is on the list above.
SIGNS THAT OFF WILL NOT WORK OUT
We tend to look through rosy glasses when marching with  offed boy but I noticed few early warning signals which may indicate disappointment cooking :
-boy tells you uninvited what  he wants / to see this show, to eat there, to go for drink, to tip this waiter to sit at this table….,  you get the drift/ Only exception I’d allow is if you want to walk and he prefers taxi as he may not want to be seen marching with farang.
- at room he is turning TV not even looking for your approval or is checking his messages on the smartphone or ultimate sign he needs to call somebody urgently-  
-delays undressing part, tells you he is shy to shower together or wants to sleep in his underwear even  if he lets you freely to explore it contents.
-tells you what side of bed he wants before you even ask him
 
Those were my experiences so be warned
 
Promise not to bore you with my trip anymore unless asked question 

some more explanation:
THAI msg is done with clothes on and will usually not give much of thes eresults.
OIL msg is obviously naked and you shower before and after. It requires a different technique from the masseur as Thai and many of the guys do not have that ready (most Thai can do Thai msg as they get it from about birth). I think this is possibly the explan. for our lieber Christian.
A variation of oil is named AROMA and is with flavoured oils, in fact cream is the same, but with cream. You can choose the flavours-they will have scenting bottles. menthol or peppermint may be with it-or not. Takray=lemongrass is my favorite. Oil as such is mostly babyoil, but can vary a lot in quaility and stickyness-the bad ones take more times to get it off as putting it on your body. Some shops also offer gel msg-with lube.
There are loads of basic mistakes that boys can make with oil msg, the old shamefull mack listed them somehow.
In BKK boys sitting outside is for me a sure sign that its is main tourist zone or an ordinary msg shop. The ''secret'' code is to ask for oil msg (or cream/aroma) from a man, this is simply code for ''more is wanted''. Also if a high min. tip is mentioned, you can be sure more as just msg will be offered for that. In most places I have been to, in such cases msr. started naked (50%) or just in slip or shorts or phaakamaa (sarong). I prefer the low mattress on the ground, but many places also have western style msg beds and some offer choice.
LOoks to me you have the listings from nickygaybkk, due to quote about Banana (that they are all gay is certainly not true for 100%). On the site thaimassageboy.com many of the further away places advertise and many more on thai sites like tmmsociety or gthai.net. Maybe they will finally get their act together eventually. But I never use MRT. The only time I ever did was when I stayed at the Sukhothai Hotel. I just use BTS.
 
But I agree the card would be more useful if you could use it for more things. The one in Taiwan is good for all transport in Taipei, 7-Eleven, Family Mart, and I think even things like McDonald's. I used it on the local trains in Tainan. It was great and should be a model for everyone else.

excellent report-esp. as you amazingly changed HTls etc. in the same stay.
Just some minor amendments:
ARL-City is 45 till Phyathai, 35 till Makkasan. Takes 28 mins for the whole ride. Overcrowded in peak times-new trains have now been ordered.
25/50 satang coins come in dark and light copper too. All supermarkets have prices ending on them
Stored value on BTS is called Rabbitcard and for now valid BTS only-cooperatiion is planned, but TITs. It cost money to buy the card and untill 1/1 there is a 2bt lower fare charged (fares were upped in june/july-as for now rabbits charge the old fare still). They also can have prepaid 20/30 etc. rides-any lenght-to be used in 1 month..

Just returned BKK-PEK-IAH-DTW on UAL award ticket. $76.80 USD + 150k miles. I didn't have many problems in PEK. At first the transfer lane had a long line as there were only 2 immigration agents on duty. Within minutes they opened up other transfer lanes on the other side with additional 4 agents, so it took me about 20 minutes to get through transfer lanes. Did experience some congestion with security rescreening as the space is limited. Things were backing up at the bottom of the escalator to the point that was becoming dangerous as there was no room for people the escalator to disembark. Again to their credit, they added security screeners and things started moving faster. I minimized electronics in carry-on but they did have to be removed from bags, same as here in USA airports. Total time for transfer process about an hour. I haven't travelled through NRT in several years now, but each time I did, it took me much longer to transfer there than it did in PEK. Last 2 times in NRT I nearly missed connecting flights due to congestion at transfer/security, so I felt PEK was bearable.
 
No new boarding card was required. Boarding was quick and efficient. There was security on the jetway, but took literally a minute for me. The flight on Air China B777-300 to IAH made it all worth it. I was very impressed with every aspect of this airline from BC lounge to seats to food. Really LOVED the comforter that came with BC lie flat seat and the soft perimeter lighting that changed throughout the flight.

I agree completely with you about Banana, in the past few years it's the only place I visit when in Bangkok. Mr Kevin is a great wealth of information and I have the same guy every time I visit.
 
Looking forward to my week there over Christmas and then a fortnight in Pattaya when your article will be of much value.

BKK-big city has aorund 40 of such places. They are spread all over town and most are quite hard to find for those unfamiliair with this bigcity and how transport works. Nor is there in fact much reason to go out to many.
The usual listing sites list them, mostly now with maps, google etc. Try gayscout (tries to list all known, maps not always correct but in roughly right area), travelgayasia or google for nickygaybangkok-which has more descriptions and limits to tourist zone. Then there is the site known as cruisingfors..x.com which has an extensive in-sight section, but mostly a bit dated now.
I will never say what is best-thats so personal. Best known is by far Babylon, near Malaysia Hotel, so populair among white tourists it has often more fat older whites as Thai in. Some others seem to attract mostly Chinese and are said to be sticky rice=that means Asians for Asians only. But there are no set rules nor entry-regulations (except that you must be >21). Some are mostly populair after work-18-21.00, others are known as weekend night active. Many of the suburban Thai ones also offer free drinks and/or food and sometimes even put on shows. Entry is mostly 200 max.

I went at least once, more than a year ago. The last times I came across WWB or GUY, neither of them had enough boys to entice me in (if there are just 5 boys, I can see in a second that none of them is my type, and I leave without ordering a drink). If all boys are now in WWB, that will be over ten, so I will go in and have a drink.
 
My major complaint is that boys are in trousers (just shirtless). I won't pay for that. One time I walked past GUY, all boys were fully dressed! Another time, most were in underwear. I will wait until most boys are in underwear in WWB (and let the doorman know that I will go elsewhere, were boys are in underwear instead of trousers).

That personal experience can differ I can confirm. I was not so happy with Hero, nor with dirty unkempt Arena.
In the more Thai style places you do not discuss tips, for Thai the stated min. is simply the tip expected.
If you come back, my rec. would be a little further along Sukhumvit; Albury, Jey. Banana is just 1 of many in the tourist zone Sukhumvit, but has indeed a very informative owner, a Singy guy named Calvin.

Regarding masseur starting nude or gradually undressing, my (limited in comparison to you, about 15 massages in this entire year) experience is difference. One started shirtless, all others were fully dressed and stayed fully dressed, until I requested they take off shirt and trousers. Even one massage that was called "body to body"! Not a problem, as I like running my hands over and under boys' shirts and shorts before taking them off, but during massage they are out of reach.

There are 2 Baht coins that are silver coloured and look very similar to 1 Baht coins, just a bit bigger. Even Thais have problems to see the difference, so most silver 2 Baht coins have a "2" written on them with a blue marker.
 
I encountered 25 and 50 Satang only after 3 years of coming to Thailand, when I started living here. The only place with prices in fractions of 1 Baht I know of are foodland supermarket and buses (6.50 Baht fare).

GETTING to PATTAYA
 
Used regular bus service from / to  Ekkamai bus station close to the same named BTS station. Buses are running every ½ hr. so never long wait. Outbound at 9 a.m. pretty empty, going back to BKK at 1 p.m. bus full. Costs 124 baht, if travelling light to BKK bus stops at On Nut BTS station where you can hop on BTS , handy if traffic in BKK is heavy, by time bus will be in Ekkamai , BTS train likely be at transfer station Siam.
 
In Pattaya to get to bus station used 2 songtaews / baht buses / at 20 a pop, probably overpaid but this is what they told me to pay. I did not ask how much , they asked me where I’m going and quoted rate.
 
IN PATTAYA
 
City is surprisingly spread out but places of interest are close by, from Boyztown to Magnolia 20 minutes walk, to Sunee and DAY /Night plaza 10 minutes if you know where to go, Sunee is pretty hidden, first time took motocycle taxi, quoted 40 from Boyztown. To Jomtien 100 motorcycle taxi, back baht bus at 10
 
PATTAYA IMPRESSIONS
 
I was only 48 hours so may be totally wrong and do not pretend to be any expert on Pattaya things but I saw what I saw.
 
Russians did not bother me at all, don’t know what is the source of complains about them , found them well behaved, spenders, unsmiling / the same they are at home /. It helps I speak quite a bit of language and understood what they are saying . I think we will see in few years interesting blend of family  destination with whoring enclaves here and there –unique to the world thanks to their influx.
 As noted before too many sad single farangs, when smiling drunk entered Boat bakery almost hugged him, Scotish/ Irish judging by the accent. This sadness  I noticed before even I got of baht bus when arrived, seriously.
 
As for whoring capital of the world I found city pretty normal but really did not spent any time wandering streets at night, did not go to Walking street at night at all, was hooked with offs on both nights, none of them was interested going there. Certainly people claiming that whole city is a brothel are bullshitting big time IMO.
 
Sunee Plaza just walked around twice, in the early evening and in the morning, just to see what this is all about and where, the same Tukcom area.
 
Boyztown area with it’s concentration of thing gay l liked very much but not more than soi Twilight, possibly I was not  long enough to appreciate Boyztown fully  and do it justice.
Certainly will be back in Pattaya  on return to Thailand although during day it seems not much to do but very few cities in the world can compare to Bangkok so no surprise there.
 
GO-GO BARS in BANGKOK and  PATTAYA
 
I was blessed enough to visit all bars in Soi Twilight at least once, offed 3 boys from Dreamboys, one of them two nights in row and still smiling at recollection of him. Can’t say that about other two.
Attended shows in every bar there at least once / Dramboys twice / as well as shows at Jupiter and Tawan. So only bars I unfortunately missed in Silom area were  Super A and Nature Boy – now I know where to start next trip.
 
In Pattaya visited twice A-Bomb and BoyzBoyzBoyz and briefly X-BoysLand , missed all other bars unfortunately.
 
Bangkok shows are pretty similar with lip sync singing, candle show, big cock show and of course fuck show, this last segment was absent at Jupiter where full nudity is scarce but some big man tools were displayed. Some shows I watched in company of my boy of the night in tow –always asked them if they want to go, in the past have some rejections of idea but not this time. If went alone for some reason always asked one of boys from the line to sit with me , offered him drink and a tip of 100-200 and no,  did not go over his body neither kissed him in full display but behaved with discrete caressing of knee area or so. Always told him up front I will not be offing him today if did not have such intention.
 
During shows always tip 100 one or two of big cock showmen, 100 fuck show participants , in both cases only if they go around to solicit tip which was not a case at Dreamboys. On departure from bar  I tip 100 one of boys on display, but not one who sat with me . Yes it’s spreading money around but I think we owe this to them for their efforts-where in the world you have such a chance to see so much flesh in speedos? I can understand that some old hands are bored to death with shows watched many times over and over  but for casual visitors they are things not to be missed, even if just for experience. Yes , me to did not found fuck show arousing even  a tiny bit.
 
HotMale-quite a few offable boys, drink standard 300 or so, few boys past expiry date but usable for both big cock and fuck shows, it’s why they are there I guess, lady boy as bottom in the fuck show but pretty funny though, picked boy to sit with me myself ,  mamasans left me alone.
 
Dreamboys  - yes,  most expensive drinks at 380, and off at 650, but boys line up most impressive in the whole soi. Even twinks were attractive, even  offed one, my mistake but at least he was very warm.  Looks wise I’d off all of them bar one, who by the way was offed within 5 minutes after I sat down!
 
Show pretty attractive too, attended twice, each time slightly different . Few massive ladyboys performing, sight not to be missed. Fuck show performers are not circulating soliciting tips. Bar full on both occasions so our complains about prices we can stuff we know where as likely they are there to stay although I did not notice massive number of offs when there but still made 4 offs myself.
 
After show all are invited to BoysBangkok downstirs for another show and informed that we can have our bring  our drinks with us.  Drinks downstairs 330 only. Mamasans friendly and I found them helpful when hunting for boy who missed 2 days at work.
 
X-Size –  show standard, line up decent , had a boy sitting with me, drinks 200 only , boy drink 290. Mamasans on a pushy side but not obnoxious,  easily shaken of.
 
Classic Boys –  show standard, bar known for twinks so not much for me there, quite a few new boys not seen in May. Fuck show top quite attractive and muscular one of 3-4 I ‘d off from there out of dozen or so. Very pushy mamasans which came as shock , in May I noted that they weren’t pushy at all. No idea what happened but I  was  forced to treat them with 1 baht tip each as my sign of displeasure. Had boy sitting with be but brought him form the scene myself.
 
One boys looks sleepy / drunk but attractive body, tipped him 100, when leaving jumped from the scene , wai me couple times and escorted to the door with big hug. I wish him luck.
 
Zeus , new bar  with nice décor, for me second best line up after Dreamboys which came as nice surprise. Standard show, mamasans  not pushy, but barkers outside are.
 
FreshBeach Boys -  I had my own boy with me so was left alone by mamasans, show standard and line up quite decent, house was only half full for the show and started to fill up later on.
 
X-Boys, -house was full for a show, I was with a boy so again left alone by mamasans. Show very long 1 hr 45 minutes, felt sorry for boys, with such a long show they do not have much chance to display themselves on a stage. Least attractive line up in the whole soi at least for me . Lots of unattractive twinks, my customary tip for best looking boy went actually to the barker outside for a look and for a big cock participation, received big hug from him on departure and another one next day when passing by. Fuck show participants unattractive, top had nice body but ugly face, sorry man.
 
Did not see #24 , was absent that day so can’t comment on Firecat and company findings from October, saw #8 recommended somewhere, looked decent and disappeared fast,  likely offed.
 
Jupiter2002, one across the Suriwong from soi. Show is different with little nudity but more flesh shown than in May when last time there. I was with the boy and we both agreed that boys on display are good looking. My type , more manly and muscular, no twinks need apply there.  Bar was standing room only for a show, Asian crowd mainly , few farangs only, mamasans easygoing . Boys have a reputation for being demanding  duds, certainly one I had in May was one of them, did not see him this time unfortunately as would proudly show him substitute I hired, Dit one of my most favourite boys of all times, one who even said once ‘ I like you ‘. But certainly boys from Jupiter have their looks, no doubt.
 
Screwboys , right in Patpong . Average line up, about half offable. Show standard, bar half full for a show, we did not stay till end. Muscular #2 caught my eye, tipped him on departure hoping to off in in the future but on both days I was staying at Pavillion above the bar he was late or missing from work so it never happened. Certainly his  colleagues told him some farang was hunting him.
 
Tawan-  separate institution, I like boys muscular and manly but bodybuilders are not my thing and somehow always missed that bar, this time firmly decided to go and see. It’s one of those places you either love or hate, I found it interesting . Most man are on older side which is understandable for bodybuilders but there were few on more regular side , quite offable but I was with boy. Liked lady boy singer in geisha number and got big red kiss from her in exchange for a 100 baht. If one loves muscle worship this is the place. We did not stay for a fuck show as by boy was falling asleep so we rushed to nearby Tarntawan, another reason to visit Tawan in a future. Only thing I did not like it was strange smell inside of bar, not unpleasant but strange like sperm mixed with rose petals, plum ketchup  and cough syrup.
 
A-Bomb, Pattaya, Boyztown, no show , just go-go , good looking and muscular boys on the stage, all offable, went two times , offed short time one cutie and spend some time chatting with another one as cutie was late for an appointment.
 
BoyzBoyzBoyz, Boyztown, visited two night in row to see the show, both times with boy in tow.
Bar full on both occasions, no fuck show as this is Pattaya, not BKK city of sin. Show entertaining, slightly modified next day as some participants were missing. Line up at BBB mostly manly and muscly guys, my type.
 
Some past expiry date , one pretty chubby at that, but on both days I noticed that there’s market for them – during show they either participate or were sitting with clients, not alone like their younger  friends.  
 
TIPS
 
In Bangkok I tip 1500 short time , 2500 long time, sometimes more.
In Pattaya I was told short time is 1000 but tipped boy 1500 , he deserved it . He took it matter of factly so likely this is what he expected I guess.
 
Did not off anybody from bars short time in BKK , 4 long time offs , all from Dreamboys. One wanted 3000 in the morning , given without problem , if he asked for more would get it, I was happy with him. Next night with him as well , tip the same , less deserved as he was tired and felled  asleep fast and this is what I wanted, to have his body  to cling to , he harassed me previous night enough !
 
Next one was disaster so instead long time rate sent home with 1000 after half an hour, lots of drama, calling mamasans and all saints.
 
Last one regular rate, not that happy with him but  loss chalked to experience as usual.

FLIGHT
I flew with Korean Air and liked seat pitch, service , food and Incheon  / Seoul / airport I was connecting through. If you have longer  layover you are entitled to a free trip to quite a few places in vicinity of airport. Trips are well advertised and friendly hostesses may actually offer one before you notice board.
For both meals during flights we had 3 choices , for some Asian dishes they actually provided  printed instruction how to go about preparing that dish –impressive.
 
BANGKOK TRANSPORT
Trains from and to airport are running 6-24 so you need taxi only if you are flying at night and early in the morning. There are 2 trains, hourly non-stop expresses to Makkasan and Phaya Thai stations, departing  5 minutes apart. It costs 90 baht and takes 19 minutes. At Makkasan  you can connect to MRT / underground / , at Phaya Thai  you can connect to BTS / overhead train/ .
If you missed one of express trains you have regular City Link trains departing every 15 minutes and stopping 6 times before they reach terminal at Phaya Thai after about 40 minutes. It costs 35 baht.
For BTS and MRT you need to purchase tickets in the machines , is you do not have a change there are change counters at every stations and there’s no problem getting change even on 1000 baht note.
In fact I used them daily before hitting bars in order to get supply of smaller notes and coins. This way  eliminates need for a change and possibility of extorting tips or shortchanging you. You tip exactly what you want if you have enough change.
Ticket for each mode of transport must be purchased separately so when you transfer for BTS to MRT etc.  you need to buy new ticket.
Taxis used sporadically and likely had a bad luck because on 3 occasions drivers did not want to use meters, fuck you said I and went to look for another one which is easy even in deep night.
In  my previous 8 trips I had 1 or may be 2 cases of refusing meter so wonder if drivers got greedy or I had bad luck this time.
 
HOTELS
To astonishment of many including my boys I change hotels every  2 nights , I just like change I guess.
Used BBB Inn, Tarntawan, Om Yim, Le café Royale in Pattaya, Malaysia, BBB Inn again and Pavilion Place.
Here are my likes and don’t likes:
 
BBB Inn – like location right behind soi Twilight with all the bars, room size and layout and availability of in –house massage boys 7/24,free  computers internet in the lobby, don’t like lack of food facilities – for breakfast went to Foodland in Patpong, 6 minutes away, American breakfast there 59 before 9 , 69 after, very good deal. There are no elevators at BBB Inn which I don’t mind but some may ( Happy Thansgiving to you American elevator/ escalator  lovers).  Massage boys at BBB may be kind of intimidating for some as you may feel guilty of having boy from outside in tow while they are unemployed at the moment . At end of day BBB is my home away from home in BKK anyways. Room 1320 /night. Safe in the room not working , use one on reception.
 
Tarntawan, much more classy place and more expensive of course which I found fair  , got deal  for 1800 but prepaid in June for Nov. Breakfast for 2 included , both boys were treated the same like me and actually addressed before me by the waiters which I liked. As I’m not fan of spending money on luxurious accommodation would not go higher in BKK and found hotel very comfortable. Guy at the elevator acts as KGB and keeps your visitors ID till they leave which is good. No, I  did not use elevator there even once . You will get your own business cards with your name ‘ in residence”, safe in my room did not work , used one at reception, no problem at all. Free computers in the lobby.  Tawan bar around the corner literally.
 
Om Yim, at 1100/ night very good value for money , right at Chong Nonsi BTS, has own restaurant, good and inexpensive food, breakfast 80-90, safe in the room worked perfectly. Room small but well appointed, no elevator  (Happy …….etc. as above),  Arena massage around the corner. I found it clean and not noisy even if facing BTS tracks and busy street. Recommended for everybody excluding elevator lovers.  Will stay in future for sure even if had bad luck with my offs on both nights.
 
Le Café Royale in Boyztown , Pattaya.  Smack right in the middle of the action with 10 or so bars within 100 seconds walk. And of course whole soi sees who you are bringing back to your hotel. Console yourself with feeling that your boy is much more handsome than theirs and has bigger dick too.
Breakfast not included but they have restaurant downstairs, sitting there you can spy on whole Boyztown, had breakfasts in the Boat restaurant 40 seconds away on other side of 2nd Road for less then 100. Good food there throughout the day too. Safe in the room working perfect, only thing I did not like was lack of door to the washroom with kind of partition instead, kind of lack of privacy if one wants to take a dump , sorry my language. I was on 2nd floor and room was quiet, facing back, not soi. They have elevator for you and your suitcase.
 
Malaysia Hotel, great positive surprise. At 840 / night I did not expect anything while I got big clean room with 2 beds, single and double. Staff extremely nice, no safe in the room, used one on reception.
Breakfast not included but can be had in the coffee shop in the lobby, Internet 40baht / hour with several computers available. No idea where famous moneyboys disappeared, did not see even one which was big disappointment as when my boy left at 3 a.m. as agreed went downstairs looking for consolation and found note, the same on street in front. Consoled myself with ice cream and 2 hours spent at computer updating my posts on this board. Few massage shops and good restaurants around.
Not a walking  distance to Silom, used taxi 50-60 baht or walk to Lumpini MRT and it’s onestop for 16 baht to Silom or two for 18 baht to San Yan for soi Twilight. Malaysia is the best value for money
 accommodation wise  I found in a long time. And has an elevator as a bonus to you know who you are.
 
Pavilion Place , right in Patpong above ScrewBoys bar. Can’t beat location for Patpong, at 1000 / night reasonable value for money, nothing fancy, room quiet, did not hear bar noises at all, breakfast again at Foodland. I’d say adequate, no problem with straight guests when bringing back boy, actually I expected hotel to be much raunchier but found it quiet other than rather noisy A/C unit.
 
MEALS
I’m not great in this subject, dined usually at Maxi’s or Dick’s in soi Twilight, enjoyed food in both places and liked entertainment value watching comings and goings in the soi.  I’m not adventurous with food  anywhere and survived 60 plus countries without Montezuma’s revenge so this is not my subject
 
TIPS
We are talking regular tips, not ones owed to the boys. In restaurants if bill is 300 or less I tip 20, if 301-600, I tip 40, above 601 -60. In bars, 20 for each serving regardless on invoice. Mamasans are getting 50 if used their services for  selection/ translation, two from Dreamboys got 100 each but they went extra mile looking for boy I wanted unfortunately so deserved it. If no services provided and They are still looking for  a tip I’m offering 1 baht coin, ample supply I ensure in my pocked, this is how I got rid of unwanted advances of mamasans at Classic boys and one of X’s. They got a message fast.
In massage places , the same. In Arena tipped 100 on 2 occasions when they let me to take boy off for long time without off fee. In both occasions I had massage at venue in the same day but still consider them very generous as they knew I’d pay and still did not charge me.   
 
MONEY
Airport exchange rate uniform with exception of last counter right where train platform starts on your right when coming . City rate varied  between 31.55 and 31.12. Before  you spent half day looking for a best rate consider that this difference means 43 baht more or less on the 100 USD, can of beer costs 38.
Depending of how much you are exchanging you make your own mind if you want to hunt or not for a rate. If you are staying in Patpong during my 2 weeks consistently best rate had jeweler beside Family Mart on Suriwong, on your right when leaving a soi Twilight . There’s another on in soi Thaniya with similar rates.  She had minimally better rate on euros and CAD than him, not USD.
In case you need to break bigger notes head my advice above and go to BTS station change counter.
I found exact change always convenient as nobody can shortchange you on change. At X-size they tried anyways.
I don’ use wallet, have 2 pocket shirts and 4 pockets trouser sand distribute money  between them.
Shirt 2*1000 in one pocket, 1000+500 in another. Trouser back 500 note each, front left all 20 and 50 I have plus coins, front right 7*100. This way I can control spending and none of pockets  is bulky.
Never  had anything stolen in Thailand but better to be safe than sorry .

MASSAGES and MASSAGE PLACES
 
Biggest joy for me in Thailand.  On vacations we should do what we do not do  at home and for me among other things  it means subjecting myself to massage mutilation.
Basically there are 3 kinds of them –oil, cream and Thai –this is dry massage and at times may be painful  it’s why used  word mutilation. If its too painful just say so to a boy and he will ease up.
 
If using oil or cream treatments keep in mind that you may  get rash from time to time from exposure to fragrances you skin may not like
 
I indulged myself with 1-3 a day , visited 18 massage places in Bangkok for and 4 in Pattaya for a total of 22. It means 26 massages  as at 3 places I had seconds with different boys / Arena, Bangkok Massage and Fan Club / and at Banana Club returned to the same masseur.
I do so many  for 2 reasons – I see direct benefit to my body and feeling well factor and credit them for fact that in 2 weeks my longest stretch of sleep was no more than 3-4 hours and still at no time felt sleepy or yawning. Second or may be even first reason are after massage services and  thrill of discovery of what happens and how .
 
And no , I’m not such a sex pig with enormous libido to overuse them , rather after massage I like  prolonged body contact and mutual feeling with more than that  at times. Always respect boys likes and don’t likes as some straights don’t do  kisses or being tough too aggressively in the anal area . As with every encounter , if both sides are comfortable, things are nicer and smoother.
 
I like my boys on muscly side and it’s easier to find them in massage places for obvious reason although had couple surprisingly strong massages delivered by skinny twinks and cute boys.
Over the years I also found my offs more pleasant with massage rather go-go boys.  Usually I go for long time off and feel that go-go’s are rushing things a bit . Likely reason is that bars are open longer hours so they can return and land chance of another trick while massage places are closed earlier like 10.30 p. m.-12.00  so for boys it like last minute overtime.
 
And so it was this time with 10 out 15 offs being massage boys. Not that all of those worked out very well but with new boys there’s always risk it will not and with  previously known  boredom factor sometimes kicks in / not this time though /.
 
Quality of massage places and number of boys available varies from place to place and as for boys even from hour to hour or day to day but on my pretty big statistic sample I need to say that all massages I received were very good to excellent with none of ‘ pat the cat ‘ quality.
Quality of massage has nothing to do with quality of venue itself , its just a boy’s skills and likely dose of chemistry between two of you.  / Or three if you are taking 4 hands treatment /
 I usually   opt for longer  1.5 or 2 hours treatments if available to avoid rushing things and  with view for some quiet or no so quiet  time together after massage .  In such a case you may watch the clock, either one on your hands or there’s usually one on the wall as sometimes  your  purchased time may be shortened. I do not think boys are trying to skip time , it rather comes naturally but if you pay for more time feel  entitled to use it. Usually I tell them do not rush massage as we have that much time for disposal. 
 
Extras were always offered, even if it did not look like throughout the course of massage - this coveted moment always arrived. Sometimes question was asked or sign-showed explicitly , sometimes it started as apparently random tough of your nether area, your wandering hands were not pushed away at certain moment, your foot was strategically placed where you could feel his pubes or you felt something hard pressing your behind somewhere,  but it always arrived.
 
Even if you did not shower together, boy was completely dressed during massage or positioned himself that you couldn’t tough him   moment of indication always came.  Now you know what I mean by the thrill of discovery. And you go from there depending of what is on offer and how you feel.
 
Cost of massage varies usually with quality of place  and kind of massage , it may start with 200-250 for 1 hour Thai to as much as 1000 for oil or cream at SENSO. Longer session obviously cost more but increase is not always linear and extra 200 -300 may buy you twice as much time.
 
As for tips , minimum tip is usually indicated on the menu, again sometimes it’s the same for shorter and longer courses , sometimes more it requested for longer sessions. If boy at regular places offers possibilities of extras he will indicate how much he expects or  if you will be instigator, he will ask how much you will give him.
 
If no extras were offered /requested I tip boy cost of massage, if he will became available for additional activities I tip either agreed amount if discussed or at least minimum tip but no less than 1000 per 1 hr. session even if minimum tip is less than that. For longer sessions I will add up to a minimum depending on length,  performance and original minimum tip and often it becomes  1500-2000.
 
Mamasans  if they did not help me , just facilitate administration, tip nothing, if they were helpful  50-100 baht.  At few places when mamasan  was handsome muscly man I tipped them 100 and in exchange requested a big hug –always a case at Bangkok Massage in Soi Twilight where both of them are type just described.
 
Below is description of BKK places I visited:
 
Sukhumvit area:
 
Guy Spa,  soi 19, ASOK BTS station, easy walk
Located in short sub-soi, no boys outside,  pretty nice selection of handsome masseurs with more than dozen boys available, mostly manly types. Took 4 hands massage. Shower in the room, before massage shower  alone, after with both of them, both masseurs undressed for most of session.  Great session, fun.
 
Uniman Spa – Korean Town, 4 th floor , soi 12, ASOK BTS, opposite side of Sukhumvit than other  three described, no boys outside, at least dozen available inside, mostly  manly types. Shower inside room, shower alone before massage , together after. Boy undressed very fast. Great session, my mistake I went there only  my last day.
 
Hero – end of soi 11, sign outside , no idea why some people are reporting place is hard to find. Easy walk from Nana BTS or take motorsai for a hop.
King of massage places in opinion of many, I second it. No boys on street, some in the garden inside compound, lots of muscly boys behind the glass wall, abundance of choice, helpful mamasan, no pressure to choose.
Small restaurant inside with view of glassed boys area. Lots of other customers , at times you may wait for room available. Treated myself to a VIP room at 1500 for 2 hour session, looks like hotel room with normal bed. Shower inside, boy undressed  and hard from beginning, showered together before and after massage. Great place and session. A must visit place.
 
Banana Club –soi 11 as well ,  underrated place, deserves better publicity. Boys apparently all gay.
No boys outside, big lobby so boys are at distance. Owner very helpful and I liked his attitude when he mentioned why minimum tip increases with length of session – to be fair to everybody. Less expensive than Hero. Went twice , first time only few boys on duty, second time more than dozen. Locker and shower outside the room, showered together before and after. Boy undressed all the time. One of three best massages on this trip, only one when went back to see the same boy. Became big fan of the place.
 
Malaysia Hotel area:
 
Magic Hands on Soi Ngham Duplee / there’s another unit closer to Malaysia Hotel as well on side street/
Few boys outside, good mix of twinky and manly types, more inside. Shower outside the room, showered alone before massage , together after. Big massage room with raised massage bed and mattress on the floor beside, very handy for after activities, well used by us. Not a  fancy place but very good , no rush  session. Boy undressed gradually during session which again I consider one of three best on this trip.
 
Sawatedee Spa,  City Court complex across the Rama 4 str
eet from Soi Ngham Duplee, easy walking distance from Lumpinee and Malaysia Hotels a little hard to find-see my Off to Thailand post how to get there.
Was there early , it appeared only 1 boy was available assigned to me. No boys outside. Aqua Spa – soi Pikun, little hard to find but really walking distance from Chong Nonsi BTS. Big place, no boys outside , only few inside but possibly more is available according to another report. Locker and shower outside the room, shower alone before , together after.   Boy undressed gradually during session. Great massage and enjoyable afters.
 
Arena –  short walking distance from  Chong Nonsi, on the corner of Silom and Narathiwas, on 3 rd floor.
Always few boys outside and more inside , mostly muscly types. Usually first place I visit in BKK in tribute of now closed HIS massage in the same building which was my first  place on my first manscapade in LOS. Went twice , on second visit much more boys than on first one. Shower inside of room, both boys undressed during massage , showered together before and after. Boys undressed during massage.
Advertising low minimum tip of 500 which includes shower, massage and hand job according to the website. You want more it’ll be more.  One of my regulars hails from there so I’m not concerned with selection but they have several types to choose. Both boys offed long time / one , my regular, twice / and on two occasions when I had massage there during day Arena did not charge me any off fee for taking boy out. Nice and generous. I have always good experience there although one of the  offs requested pretty steep tip after long time, idea of 5000 dismissed and sent home with 3000, did not seem happy and I’m still perplexed where such amount came from.
 
Senso  - soi Sala Daeng, short walk down the soi from namesake BTS station. No boys outside, when there 6 boys available, all grade A +++ muscular types. Lobby pretty small, so boys may be to close for comfort to some. Most expensive but also most classy place. 1 hr massage 990, room like hotel room with all bells and whistles, started showering alone but boy joined me  before I was finished, Showered together after session. Undressed early d uring massage . Good massage and lots of fun. Left place smiling.
 
Adonis – soi Convent , closer to Sathorn end of soi.
No boys outside, several boys available , good mix of types from twinks to very manly. Somehow I don’t recall shower arrangement but boy was a gem and I arranged for long time off in advance. Great massage session. For off fee was collected before we left place and included boy’s tip which was paid to him by manager right away. I like it as it protects interests of boy in case client will be tempted to screw things up. Along with Banana this is underrated place IMO.
 
Fan Club  - soi Convent, closer to Silom end of soi
Big place , few boys outside and many more inside, always good selection. Was there twice,  both muscular types but they have good mix. Nicely appointed, big  room, shower inside, showered together before and after and boys undressed for massage.

Apparently straight place but boy was very nice , decided to be adventurous. So one may say I’m biased. Had massage with another boy as well. Very beautiful Thai décor inside. Most boys on muscular side, shower outside cubicle , showered  together before and after . Minimum tip = cost of massage, extras always offered and massages very good, never feel rushed there.
 
Bonny  - few steps down the soi, beside Dick’s café.
Similar format and pricing  to Bangkok Massage and similar type of boys. One of them was eye hunting me when I was dining at Dicks so we arranged for a massage , converted later to expected long time off , for some reason boy changed availability ,  informed me up front and reduced his price to short time rate - fair conduct.
 
X-Size Massage -  across the soi from Bonny, mostly twinkly boys so not my type, decided to give them a chance though and diminutive Cambodian delivered surprisingly  strong massage on  the big bed, shower in the room and showered together before and after. Only place where on the menu I noticed explicitly ‘sex massage ‘ whatever it means, price was 1000 if recall. Masage there wouuld be another great experience but  it was me who failed as twinks are not my  thing and its hard to enjoy things we don’t.
 
BBB Inn,  around the corner from the soi, massage boys available 7/24, many types , at times slightly pushy for  a deal if you are resident but it’s good humored  push. You can take a massage in your room and receive 20% discount or in their rooms if you are just dropping by. Bit more expensive than places in the soi with 1 hr massage at 600 and minimum tip 1000 but if you are resident turns to be cheap. Great if you feel bored during day, just go down and you have company. The same if you wake up scared in middle of the night, there’s always  consolator who will chase ghosts away. Great if your off did not work out for some reason or can’t stay as long as you’d wish, walk him down and grab next one from lobby.
 
Had one massage on this trip only, more for company than for massage as with 5 night spent there I feel obligated to buy at least one massage for in-house boys. / In May I had 3 in house massage there/.   But he delivered his part satisfactory reminded at times that he should pretend that carcass massaged is more important than TV in the room. Learned  too late that provider of one of three best massages is moonlighting there at night after his place is closed so missed an opportunity to host him in my room for long-time and there was right chemistry too.   
 
In PATTAYA during my 2 days I visited 4 places:
 
Magnolia –absolute queen of places there very classy place , massage room like higher end hotel room with massage table and king sized bed. No boys outside, you are shown on the tablet of who is available at the moment. Big bathroom , showered alone before and together after. Very good massage for most part of which boy was dressed  and positioned himself in such a  way it was hard to tough him so I thought it will be just a massage  but at end hope was restored.
 Work first, pleasure after was boy’s motto. Second part started with question ‘did you like my massage”  and  long answer  followed , at end an appointment was booked for a supper, breakfast and in between at my hotel.  Night part was not that great but this is not story for this massage thread – 100 % satisfaction here .
 
High class and prices are very reasonable – 1.1/2 hr massage in VIP room 900. It’s quite a distance from Boyztown, almost s at Sukhumvit, walked 20 minutes but you can call and they will pick you up or jump on baht bus. Since I walked to them  , after massage boss himself dropped me at Tukcom in his truck. First class service there never stops

Boys are sitting outside so you see who is available, big place, locker , shower outside of room. Showered alone befor , together after. Boy undressed from the start and , best body of them all I met this trip, it was like  hugging an Olympian ! Not expensive and great experience there.
 
In Boyztown itself there are few places but I used two:
 
Former Scandic Massage now BoyClub, beside Toy Boys. Mostly manly boys outside, spied one very muscly man boy.  Massage fee and minimum tip collected up front –sign that they may have troubles with non-paying clients.   Shower outside room, showered separately, massage great and using different technique but boy had underwear on till end of massage. Impressed with massage , body and undies content arranged to long-time off, turned not that great but again massage part was excellent.
 
Copa -  they always have friendly boys looking for business outside, on arrival one  even greeted me with “come to us , sexy men here” sporting nice bulge in his jeans but on day of my departure in the morning only 1 boy was available, again on twinkly side but I needed god bye Pattaya massage so went for it. Massage rooms are in hotel part sharing the same corridor, shower inside room, showered together before and after, boy undressed and surprisingly strong massage delivered by a twink. So left PTY happy thank to him.

THINKS I REGRET
There are always thinks we missed or did not do and regret later on. Here’s my list:
-went to Uniman too late missing possible great long-time off
-made 2nd visit to Banana to see boy again on the last day instead earlier missing , missing , missing him
- did not explore contents of bulge of Copa sexy man
-did not stay in Pattaya longer missing most of bars , their shows and boys as well as night stroll through the Walking Street.
-missed again SENSO spa in Thonburi but at least I know now where it is
- did not have a chance to off Yo #76 from Dreamboys once more/ he left for few weeks
-did not off boy from Tawan
-missed Super A and Nature Boy
- did not have a chance to share beer with resident or visiting members of this forum.
-did not made second visit to HERO
-did not off one handsome street trader on Suriwong
-did not spent any time with one of hosts in Soi Twilight host bars
 
Not all offs  were  good but I chalked everything off to  an experience so none is on the list above.
SIGNS THAT OFF WILL NOT WORK OUT
We tend to look through rosy glasses when marching with  offed boy but I noticed few early warning signals which may indicate disappointment cooking :
-boy tells you uninvited what  he wants / to see this show, to eat there, to go for drink, to tip this waiter to sit at this table….,  you get the drift/ Only exception I’d allow is if you want to walk and he prefers taxi as he may not want to be seen marching with farang.
- at room he is turning TV not even looking for your approval or is checking his messages on the smartphone or ultimate sign he needs to call somebody urgently-  
-delays undressing part, tells you he is shy to shower together or wants to sleep in his underwear even  if he lets you freely to explore it contents.
-tells you what side of bed he wants before you even ask him
 
Those were my experiences so be warned

Actually Bangkok reminds me lots of Chicago in summertime. But being from the midwest that is the only huge city I really have to compare it to. 
 
I found my first time in TH to be exciting more because I went there alone. Go anywhere, do anything any moment I felt like it.
I think you will have a great time, and the time spent alone is good also for you. Dunno about your phone plan/roaming, but I have a Thai GPS for my iPhone I would like to try out myself this year.
 
Coming from the cold area of the USA, I would also recommend Pattaya for the sun/beach as well as the bars/boys. Reminds me of Florida weather.  
 
Heck with negotiating, just have fun + fork over a little cash. Budgeting I usually allow ~$150/day with a little exception for the first day or two in BKK, but i get companionship a little infrequently. You should find Pattaya easier to budget as tips/beers are a little less expensive, depending on where you are partying. This is spending money- hotels go on credit card to deal with when I get home. If saunas guys are your thing you will save lots.
 
With all the hassle of traveling, you would want to plan for more like two weeks there to justify the plane trips. Hotels are really inexpensive and really makes the most of the cost of a plane ticket if you stay longer. Warning- you may be really sad  the days before you have to go back home as your vacation ends. (Read: desperate to change your return date to way later)
 
Plane ticket prices rise after January for the spring break crowd. I always shoot for departing in mid- February and try to come back when the worst of the winter has passed.
 
Wish I was closer(3 hours away) to Chicago so you could have a go at interior designing my home
(or stage it for sale so I can move).

MASSAGES and MASSAGE PLACES
 
Biggest joy for me in Thailand.  On vacations we should do what we do not do  at home and for me among other things  it means subjecting myself to massage mutilation.
Basically there are 3 kinds of them –oil, cream and Thai –this is dry massage and at times may be painful  it’s why used  word mutilation. If its too painful just say so to a boy and he will ease up.
 
If using oil or cream treatments keep in mind that you may  get rash from time to time from exposure to fragrances you skin may not like
 
I indulged myself with 1-3 a day , visited 18 massage places in Bangkok for and 4 in Pattaya for a total of 22. It means 26 massages  as at 3 places I had seconds with different boys / Arena, Bangkok Massage and Fan Club / and at Banana Club returned to the same masseur.
I do so many  for 2 reasons – I see direct benefit to my body and feeling well factor and credit them for fact that in 2 weeks my longest stretch of sleep was no more than 3-4 hours and still at no time felt sleepy or yawning. Second or may be even first reason are after massage services and  thrill of discovery of what happens and how .
 
And no , I’m not such a sex pig with enormous libido to overuse them , rather after massage I like  prolonged body contact and mutual feeling with more than that  at times. Always respect boys likes and don’t likes as some straights don’t do  kisses or being tough too aggressively in the anal area . As with every encounter , if both sides are comfortable, things are nicer and smoother.
 
I like my boys on muscly side and it’s easier to find them in massage places for obvious reason although had couple surprisingly strong massages delivered by skinny twinks and cute boys.
Over the years I also found my offs more pleasant with massage rather go-go boys.  Usually I go for long time off and feel that go-go’s are rushing things a bit . Likely reason is that bars are open longer hours so they can return and land chance of another trick while massage places are closed earlier like 10.30 p. m.-12.00  so for boys it like last minute overtime.
 
And so it was this time with 10 out 15 offs being massage boys. Not that all of those worked out very well but with new boys there’s always risk it will not and with  previously known  boredom factor sometimes kicks in / not this time though /.
 
Quality of massage places and number of boys available varies from place to place and as for boys even from hour to hour or day to day but on my pretty big statistic sample I need to say that all massages I received were very good to excellent with none of ‘ pat the cat ‘ quality.
Quality of massage has nothing to do with quality of venue itself , its just a boy’s skills and likely dose of chemistry between two of you.  / Or three if you are taking 4 hands treatment /
 I usually   opt for longer  1.5 or 2 hours treatments if available to avoid rushing things and  with view for some quiet or no so quiet  time together after massage .  In such a case you may watch the clock, either one on your hands or there’s usually one on the wall as sometimes  your  purchased time may be shortened. I do not think boys are trying to skip time , it rather comes naturally but if you pay for more time feel  entitled to use it. Usually I tell them do not rush massage as we have that much time for disposal. 
 
Extras were always offered, even if it did not look like throughout the course of massage - this coveted moment always arrived. Sometimes question was asked or sign-showed explicitly , sometimes it started as apparently random tough of your nether area, your wandering hands were not pushed away at certain moment, your foot was strategically placed where you could feel his pubes or you felt something hard pressing your behind somewhere,  but it always arrived.
 
Even if you did not shower together, boy was completely dressed during massage or positioned himself that you couldn’t tough him   moment of indication always came.  Now you know what I mean by the thrill of discovery. And you go from there depending of what is on offer and how you feel.
 
Cost of massage varies usually with quality of place  and kind of massage , it may start with 200-250 for 1 hour Thai to as much as 1000 for oil or cream at SENSO. Longer session obviously cost more but increase is not always linear and extra 200 -300 may buy you twice as much time.
 
As for tips , minimum tip is usually indicated on the menu, again sometimes it’s the same for shorter and longer courses , sometimes more it requested for longer sessions. If boy at regular places offers possibilities of extras he will indicate how much he expects or  if you will be instigator, he will ask how much you will give him.
 
If no extras were offered /requested I tip boy cost of massage, if he will became available for additional activities I tip either agreed amount if discussed or at least minimum tip but no less than 1000 per 1 hr. session even if minimum tip is less than that. For longer sessions I will add up to a minimum depending on length,  performance and original minimum tip and often it becomes  1500-2000.
 
Mamasans  if they did not help me , just facilitate administration, tip nothing, if they were helpful  50-100 baht.  At few places when mamasan  was handsome muscly man I tipped them 100 and in exchange requested a big hug –always a case at Bangkok Massage in Soi Twilight where both of them are type just described.
 
Below is description of BKK places I visited:
 
Sukhumvit area:
 
Guy Spa,  soi 19, ASOK BTS station, easy walk
Located in short sub-soi, no boys outside,  pretty nice selection of handsome masseurs with more than dozen boys available, mostly manly types. Took 4 hands massage. Shower in the room, before massage shower  alone, after with both of them, both masseurs undressed for most of session.  Great session, fun.
 
Uniman Spa – Korean Town, 4 th floor , soi 12, ASOK BTS, opposite side of Sukhumvit than other  three described, no boys outside, at least dozen available inside, mostly  manly types. Shower inside room, shower alone before massage , together after. Boy undressed very fast. Great session, my mistake I went there only  my last day.
 
Hero – end of soi 11, sign outside , no idea why some people are reporting place is hard to find. Easy walk from Nana BTS or take motorsai for a hop.
King of massage places in opinion of many, I second it. No boys on street, some in the garden inside compound, lots of muscly boys behind the glass wall, abundance of choice, helpful mamasan, no pressure to choose.
Small restaurant inside with view of glassed boys area. Lots of other customers , at times you may wait for room available. Treated myself to a VIP room at 1500 for 2 hour session, looks like hotel room with normal bed. Shower inside, boy undressed  and hard from beginning, showered together before and after massage. Great place and session. A must visit place.
 
Banana Club –soi 11 as well ,  underrated place, deserves better publicity. Boys apparently all gay.
No boys outside, big lobby so boys are at distance. Owner very helpful and I liked his attitude when he mentioned why minimum tip increases with length of session – to be fair to everybody. Less expensive than Hero. Went twice , first time only few boys on duty, second time more than dozen. Locker and shower outside the room, showered together before and after. Boy undressed all the time. One of three best massages on this trip, only one when went back to see the same boy. Became big fan of the place.
 
Malaysia Hotel area:
 
Magic Hands on Soi Ngham Duplee / there’s another unit closer to Malaysia Hotel as well on side street/
Few boys outside, good mix of twinky and manly types, more inside. Shower outside the room, showered alone before massage , together after. Big massage room with raised massage bed and mattress on the floor beside, very handy for after activities, well used by us. Not a  fancy place but very good , no rush  session. Boy undressed gradually during session which again I consider one of three best on this trip.

Bit more expensive than places in the soi with 1 hr massage at 600 and minimum tip 1000 but if you are resident turns to be cheap. Great if you feel bored during day, just go down and you have company. The same if you wake up scared in middle of the night, there’s always  consolator who will chase ghosts away. Great if your off did not work out for some reason or can’t stay as long as you’d wish, walk him down and grab next one from lobby.
 
Had one massage on this trip only, more for company than for massage as with 5 night spent there I feel obligated to buy at least one massage for in-house boys. / In May I had 3 in house massage there/.   But he delivered his part satisfactory reminded at times that he should pretend that carcass massaged is more important than TV in the room. Learned  too late that provider of one of three best massages is moonlighting there at night after his place is closed so missed an opportunity to host him in my room for long-time and there was right chemistry too.   
 
In PATTAYA during my 2 days I visited 4 places:
 
Magnolia –absolute queen of places there very classy place , massage room like higher end hotel room with massage table and king sized bed. No boys outside, you are shown on the tablet of who is available at the moment. Big bathroom , showered alone before and together after. Very good massage for most part of which boy was dressed  and positioned himself in such a  way it was hard to tough him so I thought it will be just a massage  but at end hope was restored.
 Work first, pleasure after was boy’s motto. Second part started with question ‘did you like my massage”  and  long answer  followed , at end an appointment was booked for a supper, breakfast and in between at my hotel.  Night part was not that great but this is not story for this massage thread – 100 % satisfaction here .
 
High class and prices are very reasonable – 1.1/2 hr massage in VIP room 900. It’s quite a distance from Boyztown, almost s at Sukhumvit, walked 20 minutes but you can call and they will pick you up or jump on baht bus. Since I walked to them  , after massage boss himself dropped me at Tukcom in his truck. First class service there never stops

Boys are sitting outside so you see who is available, big place, locker , shower outside of room. Showered alone befor , together after. Boy undressed from the start and , best body of them all I met this trip, it was like  hugging an Olympian ! Not expensive and great experience there.
 
In Boyztown itself there are few places but I used two:
 
Former Scandic Massage now BoyClub, beside Toy Boys. Mostly manly boys outside, spied one very muscly man boy.  Massage fee and minimum tip collected up front –sign that they may have troubles with non-paying clients.   Shower outside room, showered separately, massage great and using different technique but boy had underwear on till end of massage. Impressed with massage , body and undies content arranged to long-time off, turned not that great but again massage part was excellent.
 
Copa -  they always have friendly boys looking for business outside, on arrival one  even greeted me with “come to us , sexy men here” sporting nice bulge in his jeans but on day of my departure in the morning only 1 boy was available, again on twinkly side but I needed god bye Pattaya massage so went for it. Massage rooms are in hotel part sharing the same corridor, shower inside room, showered together before and after, boy undressed and surprisingly strong massage delivered by a twink. So left PTY happy thank to him.

THINKS I REGRET
There are always thinks we missed or did not do and regret later on. Here’s my list:
-went to Uniman too late missing possible great long-time off
-made 2nd visit to Banana to see boy again on the last day instead earlier missing , missing , missing him
- did not explore contents of bulge of Copa sexy man
-did not stay in Pattaya longer missing most of bars , their shows and boys as well as night stroll through the Walking Street.
-missed again SENSO spa in Thonburi but at least I know now where it is
- did not have a chance to off Yo #76 from Dreamboys once more/ he left for few weeks
-did not off boy from Tawan
-missed Super A and Nature Boy
- did not have a chance to share beer with resident or visiting members of this forum.
-did not made second visit to HERO
-did not off one handsome street trader on Suriwong
-did not spent any time with one of hosts in Soi Twilight host bars
 
Not all offs  were  good but I chalked everything off to  an experience so none is on the list above.
SIGNS THAT OFF WILL NOT WORK OUT
We tend to look through rosy glasses when marching with  offed boy but I noticed few early warning signals which may indicate disappointment cooking :
-boy tells you uninvited what  he wants / to see this show, to eat there, to go for drink, to tip this waiter to sit at this table….,  you get the drift/ Only exception I’d allow is if you want to walk and he prefers taxi as he may not want to be seen marching with farang.
- at room he is turning TV not even looking for your approval or is checking his messages on the smartphone or ultimate sign he needs to call somebody urgently-  
-delays undressing part, tells you he is shy to shower together or wants to sleep in his underwear even  if he lets you freely to explore it contents.
-tells you what side of bed he wants before you even ask him
 
Those were my experiences so be warned
 
Promise not to bore you with my trip anymore unless asked question
