And mature people filter their thoughts. If I expressed every thought that comes into my head you would think I’m a psychopath. So…filter.

Maybe I’m the only contrarian grump here, but I find the whole bar scene tiresome with the noise, the fake smiles, the crowd.  It’s a huge time suck to me. So I go onto Hornet and find perfectly decent fun for about 1,000 baht. 1200-1500 in Bangkok. In November I will return with DH (Dear Husband) for the winter and now have four guys in Bangkok to meet. One a massage guy, and the other three met through Hornet. All delicious and reliable.

I don't agree. For me it's the detail that creates the interest. Numazu is superb at leaving us wanting more, using these tantalizing diversions and delays.

i agree but  in massages action sometimes takes its own course, touch here , brush there and all of the sudden. idea of just massage is abandoned. In male stuffed places if one opts for oil massage it may be taken as indication that more than just a massage is expected so after several minutes masseur may start some sinister moves and wait for your reaction. Unless of course we already scratched his knee or something.

Oh don’t be ridiculous. The Democrats would be considered centre right in Australia They can’t even agree on voting rights, minimum wage, or universal healthcare. The socialist tag is absurd.

Nevertheless, JC is the place to be! It is the last outpost for such as I. And, taking into account the fact that I'm no longer in the market, it is vibrant, more than gay-friendly....and fun.
I suspect that the twinks of yore do not exist in Pattaya for a variety of social and economic reasons. In the past, large families in rural areas resulted in the youngest children leaving in their late teens to find work. I'm suggesting for one moment that life is easy and that poverty isn't very real, only that social conditions have improved. Helped, of course, by contraception.
    The young  are staying home.
As an example, in 2001, P left home for Pattaya and after some other jobs, ended-up in BT. His twenty-one year-old nephew, both gay and cute (a winning combination) is happily living in the same village and with an enormously improved life style. Pad's family didn't even have electricity until 2000.

These days hotel prices are so low that there seems little point in a short time hotel, as I discovered last night. I stayed at the Quarter on z909’s recommendation and thank you!  It was perfect. Nice breakfast, no hassle bringing boys in (ahem, twice!—Hornet sure is busy around there!).  $21 Cdn (about 500 baht) for the whole night.  I’ll be back.
