Silicone lube is also a bitch to get wash off after the deed is done without lots of hot water And even worse makes a real trip hazard when spilled on a tiled floor (so says my friend that ruined his holiday last January by slipping on lube!)

Silicone based lube is pretty rare in Thailand, so you are better off to bring your own Pocket sized packs of any lube are also rare... except the water based ones that they issue in the gay saunas and safe sex packs - which have the consistency of marmalade or jam and are awful to use!

Hi Jasper Your tipping protocol seems about right for me for when you open a bottle As a matter of interest, what is the cost of opening a bottle of whiskey in Jupiter (and what brand/size) I presume its the usual routine where staff (Waiters, mamasans) can drink for free if invited... but you must buy separate drinks for the boys? We have paid 1500 in Screwboys for a 1000ml bottle of 100 pipers and 2000 for 700ml Red Label, which is pretty much the same as Pattaya pricing Thanks in Advance

NAB in Pattaya certainly takes Credit Card payments... have had to use it quite a few times there when the bill was larger than expected... I also used my CC to pay a bill in Sinlapin Issan in Pattaya in September

With the majority of my offs, we go straight from the bar to a club of some sort... i like to get to know my guys,,, and inevitably we end up inviting some of his and some of my friends along... In BKK with its early closing hours it is easy enough to keep costs in check. Also, unlike the BKK gogo bars, BKK clubs tend to be a lot cheaper than those in Pattaya But in Pattaya with its late closing a night out often ends at 9 am the next morning! Sinlapin Issan and Tumnan Issan are a lot cheaper than the likes of NAB, Differ or Hollywood

Thanks for the report Musgrave Do you remember what you paid for the original mixer setup and what brand & size it was? Also can the boys (or staff) drink for free or is there a charge? I was there last month and quoted 1500 for a "bottle" of 100 pipers and all mixers free ... which i thought was pretty reasonable (cheaper than pattaya!) especially as there were 3 of us It was my last night andwe were leaving at the time so never got to go back and actually open a bottle! A few days earlier we were quoted for similar in Zaab Cafe (in Pattaya) and the whiskey that turned up was only 500ml and the "free" mixers stopped after 4 bottles and a tiny bucket of ice!

My memory doesn't seem to recall you requiring much coercion to go to NAB! I seem to remember myself and Condo trying to get you to go home after the place had closed!
