I wanted to add some comments on Apolo Spa/sauna based on my recent Sunday afternoon visit for the foam party which was great fun.
The entrance fees have already been covered above. It is 600 pesos on Sundays (but including a pair of nice trunks (underwear) from the collection for sale). The guy in the reception is indeed very good looking/handsome. 
I arrived around 4:30PM. Downstairs are the section for changing clothes with lockers and the main room with the bar and the jacuzzi in the corner. A DJ was playing but only a few quests downstairs. Upstairs it was quite busy - 2 saunas (1 wet and 1 dry), dark room, video room and the cubicles with glory holes/cabins (and shower/toilets of course). I was chatting with a local guy in one of the saunas and he gave information about the venue which is apparently the only of its kind in D R. According to him, the best day is Sunday late afternoons as the sauna has theme parties and stripper(s) coming.
Later I joined him and his group of friends downstairs which in the meantime had become much busier. Great music from the DJ and the bar was selling quite a few beers (the local Presidente is great, even the light version, 200 pesos) and drinks. A lot of hot local guys there (i.a. young and fit) and hardly no visitors (not that I could spot). So a lot of eye candy. You walk around in your underwear (speedos or trunks) or shorts; I can't recall any with towels only. 
The stripper came at 6 PM downstairs. Nothing spectacular but he showed off his hard dick and gave the audience a chance to grope (and obviously hoping for a tip). Soon after the foam started pouring down from the ceiling and everyone started dancing and groping in the foam; many guys took off their underwear/speedos/shorts on the dance floor. Certainly not shy; great fun.
Guests were going back and forth between the foam downstairs and the cruising upstairs. Some action in the dry sauna as at least on 2 occasions I saw 1 or 2 guys sucking others. The dark room (pitch dark so a bit uncomfortable for me) was also busy with a lot groping going on. It was very busy upstairs and in general guys where coming and leaving the sauna all the time. 
At 8 PM the foam party had ended and most had left. So did I. A great experience; I wouldn't hesitate going again. Saturday and Sunday late afternoons should busy and good days to go. I didn't observe any hustlers or working guys looking for customers there, but I might be wrong on that. Massage didn't seem to be on offer.

Nice. The caretaker could be Mr. Diego in Edificio Maria Antonia.  I stayed in room 207 (or 208; I can't remember). Was happy with the room to the back. No issues with quests.

I'm glad you enjoyed Phisicus sauna. I had a great time there as well in July with 3-4 visits as I recall it, including an "all included" massage (great experience). Did you stay at the nearby newly renovated Ere Centenario Lux Suites (Airbnb)? I was quite happy with the room there (I didn't try to sneak in guests though).

There should be no issue going outside (for a smoke or whatever) at Gigolo and getting back in. You get a wrist band from the entrance guy after you have paid the entrance fee.

There are certain areas/barrios in Colombian cities that should be avoided after dark/at night. These areas will often be deserted at night; poorly lit and with poor housing. Stay away/ turn back! If you see other people walk around it should be okay for you as well. Try not to use your phone while walking around especially at night.
Colombia is no worse than other countries or certain US cities. If you use common sense, you should be fine.

Here are my observations based on 2 visits last month (Friday and a Saturday a few weeks later).
Both nights were busy. Full house/all tables busy from around 11 PM (Saturday a bit later). Entry is 15 mil until 11PM; 20 mil after 11 PM. Drinks/beverages are reasonably priced, e.g. a Club Colombia beer is 10 mil.
The price for a "private show" behind the curtain is advertised at 60 mil but no first hand experience on what is actually included.
The dancers/strippers vary on each night but many seem to come on a regular basis/each night. The guys will approach you for a hand shake/to say hi and small talk; in general they try to interact with the guests and are friendly and encourage  touching/light groping, which should be appreaciated with small tips (2 or 5 mil note). Very few speak English so try to get by in Spanish. The guys vary in appearance from very masculine muscle guys to younger lean/fit boys with more boyish bodies (so there should be someone for every taste). In general, I find the strippers hot/looking great and sexy in their small speedos/briefs (although certainly not all of them are of my taste). The guys advertised on the webpage have not been updated, so don't expect to find the guys you have seen online to actually be there on a given night
As stated above there will be a fuck show on Fridays around/after midnight (but it was nothing spectacular IMO; I enjoyed the guys dancing on the stage more); I didn't see any fuck show on Saturday (but I might have left too early).
As suggested above many of the guys will open to share their Whatsapp details, so just ask if you fancy a guy and would like to connect. From personal experience, the guys I interacted with in Whatsapp subsequently were prepared to meet for private sessions at your hotel/apartment or their room (at a price of course; to be negotiated so don't accept their initial 200-300 mil offer!)
In general, I enjoyed my time there (as I did in the past) and would love to go back. The ambience is very nice and the staff/guys are friendly. If you dislike loud music bring earplugs.
The area (a little North of the main parts of Gaychapi) is in general safe and walkable at night, but make sure you don't cross the nearby main through road (Ave Caracas, with Transmilenio bus lanes) by accident at night.

I speak enough Portuguese to get by and have been in some pretty risky situations and countries in my day. Still I"m going to try my best to follow your advice, even after having  spent this time scoping out guys online and looking forward to meeting some of them. Hopefully I go to the sauna and realize there are just as attractive guys there as some of the guys I've found online and then just have my fun in the sauna or with guys from the sauna. 
Likely I'll also have a couple hookups from guys I meet on Grindr or out at night. Normally Brazilians tend like me (because I'm a ginger which is apparently exotic), and the feeling is definitely mutual!
I'm pretty confident now that even my idiot self won't mess things up too much and I'm going to have a great time in Brazil and enjoy some new experiences. The men, the geography and natural beauty, the cities, the food, the surf, the men (did I say that one yet?). I can't wait!

As for safety, it is safer and cheaper, in my opinion, to take GP from the sauna at your place after a pass at the concierge than to go to the sauna or somewhere else.

@speedoo1 You are right. BBVA waved the fee again. (300k COP max, 900k COP max / day). I also used davidienda (2 million max, but didn't work with my visa debit card) and servibanca (18k fee, 1 or 2 million max, depending on the ATM).
On a side note, Medellin was amazing. Three days of free concerts (altavoz festival 2022 on the parque norte grounds), a great party in industry club and a bunch of gorgeous chicos from the webcam sites and grindr.

Parque Bolivar /the area around the Cathedral in Medellin was extensively discussed a few weeks ago (despite the headline of this thead and the initial posts about a certain scort; it is worth to make a separate thread about Parque Bolivar with all the observations/comments from here?)
Anyway, here are my observations from my visit in Medellin last month:
Parque Bolivar and the square in front of the Cathedral is perfectly safe during daytime; actually quite pleasant IMO. Indeed, there are drug/glue addicts and hustlers/prostitutes but they will not interfear or do you any harme.
I suggest to walk and look around in the park. You will be noticed, and some of the guys will wave or try to make contact if you look at them. If you want to interact with the guys, sit down somewhere a bit private and be patient. The are many guys in the parque and some will eventually approach you; they will know why you are there. Have a chat (most will not speak English) and see what happens. The guys know where to take you for fun; nearby hotels have “ocasional room” for 15 mil. Bring condoms and lube. Expect to pay the guy 50-75 mil for sex; to be negotiated of course.
The guys that hang around Parque Bolivar are young but not models/have muscle or gym fit bodies, and appearance wise a bit on the rough side, but if you are into such guys, you will have a good time there; some of them are cute/good looking IMO and most have nice lean bodies. Enjoy!
 

No, I'm talking about the small parque in downtown Medellin (in front of the Cathedral); not a park in Itaqüi (a southern suburb in Medellin).

BBVA ATM doesn't charge a ATM fee (like most other ATMs in Colombia). They are quite common in Colombia and found in most cities. Look for the blue BBVA logo. There is even a BBVA ATM on the second floor in the airport (to the extreme left; above the check-in areas; you have to look for it to find it). Disadvantage is the 300,000 COP max.
