EVA today cancelled all flights from UK until the end of June...........
Proves the point.
DONT book any flights, with any airline, until they have a proven record of actually operating them on schedule....and for some time. -

A search on end of June direct shows Singapore,
I cannot see any Singapore Airlines flights from Gatwick. Have to say their site is not very user friendly.
There are flights from Heathrow but with a stop in Singapore.

Interesting time keeping there...or rather lack of it!

I personally would choose an alternative route until I see Eva operating REGULARLY and RELIABLY for several months.
Too many promises....

I have read some Scoot reviews. Similar to Ryanair!

Also, whilst demanding the moderators resign has some merit, I note that the person making the request continues to post on the board, including on various other topics
Those posts seem to have disappeared.

None of this is going to help revive the tourist industry. Only a complete revocation of the Thai Pass system and testing on arrival will do that.
I repeat my previous question: “
Can anyone tell me why the scrapping of Tourists PCR Tests is dependant on a Local surge of infections during Songkran?“

From The Nation
“We expect the move to be approved and implemented from May 1 onward, provided that there is no surge in new infections and Covid-19 deaths during and after Songkran,”
Can anyone tell me why the scrapping of Tourists PCR Tests is dependant on a Local surge of infections during Songkran?
I see no correlation at all.

From Bangkok Post
Race to end restrictions
The government needs to accelerate its plan and drop every travel restriction by Songkran as a gift for Thai New Year's Day, he said.
Ha that made me laugh.
After the much hyped, and eventually useless, decisions last Friday by the CCSA I cannot see this or anything meaningful happening at all in the short term.

I tried using my IPad. It had my name back to front and no matter what I did I couldn’t get it to work properly.
Nobody has asked about it while I have been here. -
Another absurd requirement. TIT Amazing Thailand.
Is it any wonder most people put the Thai Covid Instructions on their Ignore List?

If they terminate the Thai Pass how will they be able to continue the Insurance Scam?
Wait until you see it for real! -

A friend of mine last night went to one of those Morlam concerts on Third Road. It looked packed as usual.
Why is that allowed?

Thailand's raining season is during summer months. You can't go to Thailand before September, so you won't be there in raining season. 🙄
Sorry have to disagree.
September and October are the wettest months although May and June can be wet.
See Pattaya climate and rainfall figures here:

To be blunt, the Covid situation in Thailand is such that I wouldn't feel comfortable and the implications of being tested positive are dire. Read daydreamer's posts.
Actually you only need to get past the first few days in Thailand so act sensibly for those days.
When you arrive you will have been tested in the UK three days before departure. So assuming you take care for those days then the chances you have it on arrival are slim. The next few days (before the day 5 test) are important if you are to pass the day 5 test.
After that there are no further covid tests required. Some restaurants and venues pretend to require a test but after nearly two months I haven’t found any who genuinely check or test. If they did I would just go elsewhere.
There is no requirement for any testing at all and anyone volunteering for a test is asking for trouble.
if you think you have it then self isolate. Simple.

More employment. Less ghost towns (cities). Less bankruptcies. Far, far, less poverty. Etc., etc.
The list is endless.
