Fortunately, the damage wasn't too bad, but after a few days, I had a huge bruise on my lower back and thigh.

I know of two suicides (one worked at Adam's Apple), one attempted suicide and four fatal drink-driving related accidents this year alone, all involving nightlife workers. All were/are under twenty-five and three were parents. I worry there might me more accidents as the year comes to a close. The two suicide and attempted suicide cases I knew personally; they were/are lovely guys who succumbed to severe depression and excessive drinking. I'm still grieving one of them which might explain why I've been posting and making more cracks than usual lately. Some day, I will write about the darker side of the nightlife industry in Thailand which is far from the benign pony ride that some people would like to make it out to be.

I've read and watched investigative stories done on this years ago... very dark and dangerous stuff, was centered on the straight nightlife and drug scene, I'm sure it flows over into the gay world as well.

December 2, 2025Dec 2 Photos taken at 9am today on my way back from Foodland after 84 baht breakfast special. The same signs that were there two months ago so nothing new. I was at Freshboys last night and I saw Atlas was closed when I walked past. I don't know if it's closed on Mondays or permanently closed.
