It looks more like a dance club than a go-go bar to me. But it does look promising. Bangkok is actually the only place I still go to clubs. I think I'm getting too old to go to Cubs, but in Bangkok I make an exception with places like GOD or DJ-station. So GASS is definitely on my list to check out next time.

A friend who went to their preview show/soft opening says it's a cross between a go go bar and a dance club with patrons mingling around the show with glasses in hand. Quite a few female patrons too. Not a place for the camera shy as both patrons and management were freely taking pictures and videos.

Where exactly is this located? I also saw a social media video showing a huge queue for Beef in Silom Edge across the carpark due to the China golden week holiday. Has anyone visited Beef and can update?

Updates from Bangkok (before golden week):

Freshboys
Solid ensemble of boys and 80% full. Their show has improved in quality too. My estimate was about 50% mainland Chinese clients, the rest were diaspora Chinese and the occasional farang.

Good Boys
50% full (lots of farangs here). Their ensemble of boys have IMHO lost its competitive edge vis-à-vis Freshboys above. Some unfit boys and there was quite frankly one that I wondered what was doing on stage. One of the boys confirmed that the boy in question was new and never had had a customer yet. Mamasan was setting him up for failure. The show is still plagued by too many drag shows. Goodboys need to improve to remain competitive.

Good Boys tend to be the first bar for newcomers when they look for work in Bangkok. The management is not particular about the guys they take in.

But guys may not like to work there because it is small and claustrophobic. Because smoking by customers is allowed inside, it can be difficult to breathe. And finally, guys have to work one hour more than those in other bars. Good Boys closes at 2am while other bars close at 1am.

I was at fresh boys last night. Just came from a week in pattaya(will be writing reports later). When I entered bar it was pretty full. Mostly Chinese tourists who ordered bottle service to their tables and were talking amongst themselves not paying attention to the show. I’m not sure what the draw is because it’s my understanding alcohol at the gogo bars is more expensive, I would assume it would be more wallet conscious to goto a regular club. 
 

I did see two boys get offed. Aswell the boy I offed three times last year was still working, and he recognized me. I didn’t say anything but after the big cock show he came up to me and had a huge smile which made me feel good. He is only one of three that I recognize from last year.
