Two visits, midweek and Saturday. Almost identical. 6-7 boys on the stage, still outnumbering count  of customers in audience. And all that while most boys are quite good looking, certainly beating Than Tawan in looks department. No idea why such dearth of customers, lack of marketing and media presence perhaps. Veteran Nop aparently left the scene I was told by one of boys.  One new specimen VERY interesting but  I did not get around to offing him. Like Hot Male bar  seems not to be achieving it's potential and I have no idea what is not working as for me they have all points gathered in. But what do I know? Sigh

Than Tawan

Biggest surprise of this trip. On night of my visit boys on offer I'd classify as between unattractive and very unattractive and I try to be charitable, yet still bar was full to capacity, not that considering it's size it's hard to achieve but still packed it was like in its best days of previous incarnation. What most important clients seemed to stay and drink. I was only farang in audience. Glad to see them thriving  and hope offering will improve next visit. One of my forum friends suggested that it may be grand central for chubby chasers. Certainly shows power of brand. 

Already reviewed but as it happened I paid subsequent visits to Jupiter ( twice in row) and Moonlight. 

Moonlight seems to be struggling and it may continue until they will start showing some cock. 10 customers at best, easily outnumbered by number of staff. 7 floor boys but with exception of one, all presenting themselves on the stage in top tanks and long trousers. It looks good but makes for poor marketing. How one can off the boy without seeing his knee? 

On my last night I was split between Monlight and Jupiter, opted for Moonlight but after half an hour inside decided to go to Jupiter and I had my reason based on my visit there night before. I never liked Jupiter, mainly because boys disinterrsted look, even if mandated by bar policy but now it's on fast track to become my most favorite bar. As I said before on the subject, I never thought I will live that long to see it happen. 

So what happened the night before? I went in at 9.30. Clearly too early as for next 30 minutes I was sole and only customer. Still singer on duty was singing and 15 minutes later boys did their walkabout the same way they do when bar is full. That was endearing indeed. Since I was only customer it was funny to see their reaction while passing me by.

From trademark disinterested look through as I was just the air to some smiles from shy to broad and one even bothered to say hi, another shook my hand and one gahe me even kind of hug. It all this in bar where I'm kind of anonymous with only one boy I had history with. 

So I was kind of thrilled and happy with such reception. Around 10 stared filling in but still to no more than perhoas dozen patrons. May be more came for the show but I left at 11 due to business circumstances. 

So next night picked up where I left day before and come at about 11.00. Not crowded. I counted 14 spectators including the myself. One of boys tipped last night recognized me with smile and "we together" gesture. Show was kind of shortened but still had 5 or 6 numbers including one viloing playing with abundant sightings of engorged cock of in house Paganini. Had one guy sitting with me, it turned out that we already met in some massage place  but was loyal enough to inform him I'm not booking him because I have flight to catch.  He was pleased with his tip. Suggested I buy him 2nd drink but I only look stupid, if I had money to burn I 'd rather tuck it in his undies. 

It looks for future I will have mission there. One of their boys reminds me my classmate from my school days, he is there for a while but only now I noticed how indeed look alike he is. Perhaps in I  future need to look deeper into his eyes. For now I tipped him with was acknowledged  from the stage but not as much with smile as with grimace of " fuck off you old troll and forget about putting your hands on me". So I have a goal of converting that grimace to enthusiastic smile, hug and whisper " I go with you?"

As I'm sitting in Swampy no more updates from Patpong this  trip. Will report on it but it will be brief as it was of bit different kind than other so far. 

Glad you had fun in the one week or so that you were in Bangkok! Thanks for reporting on the different bars.

I did not visit Jupiter last year, however will definitely give it a try this year and report back, fresh boys was my favourite out of the bars I tried last year.

Getting smiles at Jupiter? Wow. That is newsworthy indeed!

I like the type of guys who work at Jupiter. But indeed, due to the lack of interest they show and the lack of attention they give, it's never been one of my favorite bars. I'd rather have a somewhat good-looking guy who actually puts in some effort to get your attention than an A-list hunk who comes across as arrogant.

It was indeed v guy from violin number who smiled at me broadly and repeated on next walkabout. This is what 100 baht tips triggers I suppose .

I share your sentiment about Jupiter but as soon as you have them sitting with you , all of the sudden it's all smiles in most cases. I also noticed that while it's nice to get attention after it will become  too nagging it's very refreshing to go to Jupiter where one is mostly left undisturbed. On my last trip I liked bar the most and it's why I visited 3 times 

Last night saw bald headed guy promoting Dreamboys instead of Freshboys. He used to work at Banana bar at soi 4. Apparently he was unhappy with Freshboys management so he moved!

I did not see him on my two visits few days apart  last trip but certainly he was there in June

He was there in early August, he was in front with some of the other "stars" encouraging folks to come in.  When I was seated, to my surprise he came in and sat with me during his breaks from performing.  When I went back toward the end of August, neither he nor Babe were on stage or in the house.  

Nicky and Babe were there in mid August when I went during a Friday night.
