@aaroninatl I recommend Chiang Mai Ram Hospital on the west side of town if you decide to get your head checked. It's less than a 10-minute Grabcar ride from where you're staying. No need for an appointment; just walk into the Emergency room with your passport, tell them your problem and they'll sort you out. The nurses are very kind and some of the prettiest I've seen anywhere. English is widely spoken.

There's a diagnostics/health screening centre adjacent to the main hospital with a wide variety of health screening packages which you might want to consider given your health issues. Results are quick, usually within a day or two and will be thoroughly explained by a physician. There's also a Starbucks on the premises - you'll love it!

Actually there are several very good private clinics and small hospitals within walking distance from where you're staying but I shan't share them for now as they're more Thai-oriented and I'm acutely aware that you're looking for a more western/American experience in Thailand. Besides, Chiang Mai Ram is a great one-stop hospital with a whole range of specialists should your condition require further investigation. However, if you do decide to settle in Chiang Mai (or even in Bangkok) I'll happily recommend a couple of English-speaking GPs and pharmacists. Personally, I'd rather go see an experienced GP when I'm sick (which isn't often) who knows me and my medical history rather than different doctors at a hospital.

I am a little concerned, too, given his accident.

As the the weather hasn't been suitable for outdoor activities, let's hope he's just staying back in the hotel, hopefully err.....'holed up' so to speak, with one of his guys.

Hey all... coming out of posting retirement to let everyone know I'm fine. I posted the other day that I'm going to just keep in touch via DM and Line. Scroll back a couple pages... should still be there. But seriously ... very touched by the concern!

Feel ok after the head bump. Said goodbye to the Chiang Mai guy yesterday and the little guy got emotional. He's such a happy go lucky kid so that shook me.

In Pattaya for a few days. Then wrapping the trip up in Bangkok. Again, I'm in posting retirement lol, but will say this Boyz Boyz Boyz... YES YES YES! Way up near the top of my favorites in Thailand. As for Pattaya itself, still not feeling like it's anywhere in contention of being a settle down spot. It's a nice fun spot but the quality of life day to day isn't here to me. Maybe it is in the burbs, but I don't know if I wanna be a burbs guy. It's still Bangkok or Chiang Mai for sure.

Wonder if we can persuade you to come out of retirement to share a short report on BBB currently? I used to go there but stopped for many years. I was told (here on this board) that it had become a place mainly for Asian women and the boys were reluctant to go with male customers. However I saw a recent video that looked promising in terms of quality though majority of the guys look very straight. Side note, the boy you liked from Jupiter used to work at BBB

It was time when I considered them best bar in whole Thailand but after they switched to presenting fully dressed guys on the stage my interest disappeared. Perhaps time to revisit them after 3 years hiatus.

I believe that @aaroninatl enjoys BBB because their show is polished and the guys are well-groomed similar to those in Moonlight and Jupiter in Bangkok. I have a feeling that his first off in Thailand will be from one of these two bars before his trip is over.
