I posted as a guide only, for I have not used Misterbnb myself, a friend had and had been rather pleased. I've used airbnb for my Berlin, Barcelona, Rome, and Los Angeles stays and have been more than satisfied. The hosts have also written very positive comments at the site in terms of how I treated their properties and was a stellar tenant.
But, at any rate, I thought I was helping, but apparently not, so lets just leave this post idol in the future.
Hey, you were right to post. Information is vital to the success of our visits anywhere. Even discovering that we are not fully informed allows for us to become better informed via this process.

I agree with @SolaceSoul I would just add that here (as in other houses in Buenos Aires for example) if you should accept the offer of a drink while viewing, it’s considered appropriate to give the manager a small gratuity.
That's interesting. However, as jaded as I am I can't imagine not finding someone I like in their stable. Some of the Brazilian boys were forced out of Brazil because their beauty was to much for the other boys! Yes, I exaggerate but they have always had a lovely group.

Forgive me. 117 , 202??? Help!

Actually, I wanted to like Mnbnb just on Gay general principles. But, in double checking Santo Domingo I found few options, mostly hotels to fill out their listings and no real reason to support hem. Airbnb is cheaper, better presented, better offerings and ease of use. I wanted to use it because I assumed that anyone who listed their property on a Gay site would not have issue and while that's true the paucity of offerings just makes it hard to support.
Now, I have warned here that if you rent in a family condo complex and plan a stream of visitors then use a gay hotel or Mrbnb. Otherwise, Airbnb is a hands down winner.

I didn't hear her reference to Soi Twilight.
-
July 7 -8th - as it starts around 2pm in the area of the colonial zone and the Malecon ( road by the seaside of town ) and goes on all night.
Your 2 guests a day is what i'v been referring to with issues about a stream of guests in a family type condo residence.

Totally agree. Gogo bars ok but miss the places just to sit and watch.
I would not give up. Twilight soi was once the one bar. As the bars came, places to feed the customers with seating to watch came. Let the customers come an entrepreneur will likely follow

I wish I had the sense to plan my vacations around cock!
I plan mine around the "availability " of cock and worry about size later. Frankly, I don't want or need to decorate it with ribbons and dance the MayPole - a mouthful of savory warmth is very nice - just want to make sure I can find that morsel.

It's been reported in other threads here and in US government reports that the fuss over the deaths in the DR are way over played. With over 2.5 million visitors a year there are always a certain number of deaths. Some people do, actually, party to death. The actual rate has shown no increase and both Mexico ( which I love ) and Jamaica have much higher per 100,000 visitor rates.
I've yet to see a place in the city that did not have good security - remember - when you're not there they still have one or more Tvs, kitchen equipment, etc. However, bring back two or more bruisers you don't know and it's on you.
One thing that really must be considered is the type of residence. A condo in a building with working people and children living there will notice an en bless stream of visitors. Just choose wisely.
The place I sent you next to Dumbo's is I think expecting such visitors and is well priced. I have not stayed there yet but plan to check it on next trip.

Just curious, you keep posting COP , what is that? I always see DOP for Dominican pesos. Using COP twice leads me to think you're not mistyping.

I often wonder what it would be like if the boys had a criteria to pick US.....how many of us would pass muster, lol
I know they talk about us with their friends, coworkers.....maybe they have their own site where they talk about their customers (new site idea Mike, lol)I know they do this willingly , for the most part.....but the scams (lies) have gotten bigger and more frequent than years ago,,,, maybe the shared learning from their site?
I've been to MANY places where there are these type of places for hookups (client/boy)....I have to say I feel the most for the guys in Thailand (Viet, Thai, Cambodian, etc...) Many are treated so poorly, publicly examined and expected to do so much ....I know we all grow old....but many don't do it gracefully (looks/attitude/hygiene) and Thailand seems to attract these types from all over.I know, I know...there will be lovely stories about how many have been "rescued" or treated so well with money and gifts beyond their dreams...blah, blah, blah. But they have become more calloused from so many lies and promises from Farangs ....and no one here thinks they do this......but do we?
Re-read Divine Madman's comment and think of it as reverse engineering but remember that kind" includes generous.

I believe you are describing elderly Melvin P's little postage-stamp one-buck gym, perfectly adequate most times, opposite some kiosks on a small travessa that is not labelled on most maps though I believe this laneway is technically called Rosas.
I'm finally stumped I have no idea where this might be. Can you be a little more descriptive about how to get there from Paco's?

Ah, SolaceSoul, I know I'm right when I agree with you. I post opinions - you do the work!

Really I guess it is because you live there rather than visit. 10 years ago BKK was a disaster for a visitor who wanted to fly back home . I already said it probably won't happen again but who knows in Thailand. I can assure you it was no fun for visitors but then again I would expect you to know anything about that because you are a resident. Who knows when you were last on an airplane?
I know I'm late to this but I wanted to get my feelings win record. I've been in Bangkok during political unrest and the Thai, well- they do a nice coup. I never felt unsafe or had to hole up in my hotel. Having said that if the army ever turns on the Palace or the Temples - run. Screw the airports run for the nearest border. If the King and Songha are fine - sp are you - just politics.

Has more info than here about Asia, especially Thailand.
My advice, if you pick someone up at a bar, app or off the street...be careful ...no way of tracking them.If they work at a bar, I've NEVER had a theft problem with a bar guy.....just not all will perform as "promised"...I can do everything means they'll say that until it comes time to do everything....I am VERY clear about that.
Food is AMAZING in Thailand as are the massages...but if you've been already , you know that.Yes, please go to the forum indicated. One area with bars is under development and places have relocated. You really need the latest as any other guide and most sites are woefully out of date the Gay Thailand forum is up to date and reliable. Hey, I post there it has to be good!

Exactly, I have been following this closely and the deaths were concentrated in a few all inclusive resorts. It's not a war zone - are you perfectly safe? No, but there is no place that you are so go and have a great time.

I agree with Vinapu. I'm a tipper but a Mamasan who is intrusive gets nothing. Actually, I have had few problems with them as I have a firm policy of ignoring anyone I don't invite over.

If I could drive downtown Palm Springs, or even go by tuk-tuk, and see a Jupiter show for all of $15, including drink, I wouldn't hesitate!
I might hang around and meet some Oz rejects!
Thank you lucky! I've been absent for months - just lurking because my January trip was so bad to Jomtien that I thought I would never be back, I was kidding myself. Even if Bangkok is a habit, it is a habit of thirty years. You make the honest point I have always made - It is hard and very expensive to get entertainment like this in the US. When I started my Bangkok habit there were, in fact, only a few bars like Twilight and My Way, Barbiery, Tawan, Golden Cock and a few long closed. The venues available are already around the same as my first trip. These reports are very encouraging.

I sure am glad to have reached out to political and advocacy leaders and groups, learning about their lives and work, and looking forward to a return visit soon.
I'm taking you at your word and signaling my appreciation. Although. there is a certain air of sarcasm in the phrasing. I hope not.

You may not like Trump but the executive branch of the US government certainly has the right (and duty) to tell US embassies what and how to do most everything.

"may"??? I'm stunned and flabbergasted that a Trump supporter reads these pages. Oh, yes...wait, it's denial!

There are a number of US Ambassadors who are obeying by not flying the flag on the Embassy pole are; nonetheless, hanging it from the building over the entrance ,etc.

It’s quite possible that it can be both.
Putin pulls strings. Trump does things for his own self-preservation and self-gain. The two are not necessarily mutually exclusive.
And of course, we know how Orange Foolius just wants o undo anything that Obama did, out of jealousy and spite.
The older white Cubans in Florida are dying out, but they vote in strong numbers and they still vote for and donate to the GOP. The younger ones are less likely to do so. The Cubans on the island, many if not most who are brown and black, love Obama and hate Trump.
I totally agree. I live in South Florida and through some volunteer work I know, at least casually, a very large number of Cubans. They are solidly republican even the middle aged. Yes, the young are changing but the one's changing are in High School. I do 30 day hides on 1/2 my Facebook friends. It's amazing. As long as there is a Castro alive they want vengeance . The people I'm speaking of were the aristocracy of Cuba and they lost a very great deal and the hate lingers. They want no one going to Cuban and spending money.

Nothing the current administration does makes me proud. Why even write a law that, while trying to clean up a ness, reads only "under 18" why?
