The main problem is if I and the boy staying with me have different time routine 4 years ago I had very beautiful 19 yo boy I met in Pattaya we planned to stay together all my vacation about a month but we have some issues and the main problem was that he didn't go to sleep before 3 am and won't get up before 4 pm I am not used to sleep so long hours ( max 7 hours) and wake up so late ( max 8 am) it didn't work between us and our ways separated after less then a week.

Slept at 4am and woke at 13.00 when I first started coming to Thailand in the early 2000s
Now still sleep at 4am and sleep till 14.00! Always a party to be found in Pattaya, even when closing time was allegedly 21.00!

Will be in Pattaya this week !!!
You know reading another post about sleeping all day and partying all night just got me thinking .
I used to do that say 20 years ago in Pattaya, sleeping all day and then hit the bars at night going to bed at around 4am .
Fast forward 20 years now I'm nearly 60yo and I'm thinking this trip and being now a non drinker I won't be sleeping all day , my routine when I arrive will have to change .
Questions is are you a early riser on your trip, or sleep all day ?
Am I getting a old fart if I make my routine say midnight bed wake 8 or 9am😁, maybe that's too early ,

Both Bangkok Guy and I like clothes and take care how we dress. In other words, we are both gay. We both prefer a classic simple look, although I have a penchant for a splash of color while Bangkok Guy is strictly muted colors. This trip it was a multicolored belt which triggered him “Why you like?” in a tone suggesting that insanity hovered nearby.
As I loathe shopping, have preferences for the cut of my clothes and enjoy choosing fabric, I like to use tailors and assemble what I want. As Bangkok Guy loves shopping and a bargain, he prefers pret-a-porter in markets.
The culture shock of taking him to my tailor was entertaining.
The genesis of this adventure came over dinner at Baan Suriyasai during my last trip when Bangkok Guy made a quiet comment in passing ‘Look like waiter’. He was wearing a new white Chinese collar shirt from Icon Siam and black pants, which did bare a family resemblance to the waiter’s outfit. However I think the motivation for the remark was less his outfit and more mine, as I was resplendent in fresh-from-the-tailor shirt and trousers.
The objective was to get him an outfit he could wear to restaurants and the Bamboo Bar and not look like the waiter – blue blazer with gilt buttons, white trousers and tailored shirts.
Bangkok Guy was curious but hesitant – ‘Not know how’ (to use a tailor). I explained that the objective was to get exactly the cut, cloth and fit he wanted, and found patterns online for collars, cuffs, trousers and jackets to give him an idea of the range of choices, assuring him the tailor could show him.
The whole exercise (for the pair of us, as I had a suit made) took four fittings, two before we left on our travels and two the day we returned.
The first source of amusement came from watching Bangkok Guy instruct the tailor. At the first fitting he was looking for guidance but after that, once it came to discussing the fit, he was in charge. The tailor is a pro, but I couldn’t help wondering how he felt about taking instructions from a young durian trader from Issan. It was all amicable and Bangkok Guy got the fit he wanted – generally looser than the Italian cut favored by the tailor.
After the third fitting I complemented him on how well he was managing the fittings to get what he wanted. A slight smile “I watch you”.
The second source of amusement was the conflict between Bangkok Guy’s love of economy and his love of the way he looked and felt in the tailored clothes.
He looked fantastic and heading out to dinner for the first time in the blazer with a red-and-navy silk pocket square, white trousers and white shirt with blue-lined collar and placket, he was walking on air. Bangkok Guy feels powerless (a topic for another time), a feeling the clothes temporarily removed.
He didn’t know what the clothes cost, but he knew it was too much, especially as he can only use them a couple of times a year when I visit. They are not practical everyday wear for selling durian.
He raised his concern about costs over lunch after the first fitting. “Tailor too expensive”. “Being Falang is expensive” – which response was met by a completely unconvinced look. As with alcohol consumption, he understands that the problem is not a generic Falang issue, but is specific to his particular Falang. After all, I am neither unintelligent nor too old to learn more economical ways from him. He knows that with patience and humor, the old dog can be retrained.
He showed me the website of a tailor offering a complete outfit for 2000bt. “Probably not good cloth, this tailor better”. He graciously changed the topic but did not give up and continued to suggest that for much less money he could get what he needed at a market.
The only argument I had that made any headway was “But then we not same-same”. He likes the idea of being the same, not because of the clothes, but because of the implication that I want us to be closer. After that the tone of the conversation changed. The tailor is still too expensive and markets a much better option, but for a few pieces of clothing that enable us to be “same-same” at restaurants and jazz bars, it is acceptable that we use the tailor.
And, now he has had time to think about it, he would like a pair of trousers-with-braces like mine, as long as the braces are in muted colors. He thinks the braces are cute. I told him I will bring him a pair of braces next trip, so a further visit to the tailor is on the agenda. I am not going to tell him the cost of Trafalgar woven silk braces, as (i) he would call it off and (ii) my sanity, already in question, would look distinctly shaky.

Inside their pants when I can, although one diminutive twink on stage in Cupidol in Boyztown seemed a little hesitant, and when I pulled open his pants to stuff the note inside, and take a quick peek inside of course, the poor lad had a ball of scrunched-up toilet-roll down there to 'enhance' his allure on stage 😂   (didn't put me off offing him on future occasions)

I guess too the difference in customers/farang  to each area .
I'm thinking more cheaper in Pattaya so more lower economic farangs ,to put it nicely 😂,just like myself.
I wouldn't dare paying Bangkok prices, not all the time anyway.
I wonder too if the type of farang going to Bangkok are more professional types in terms of occupational, one should do a study I guess😉

Unfortunately it's just not white supremacists it's also certain religion groups and religious fanatics who don't approve of gay people, some countries still execute etc .
Middle East ,Africa etc are known for their intolerance sadly all in the name of religion.
I'm not a religious person but have a Filipino boyfriend who was heavily involved in the church that was working up to 40 hours a week for them  for free as well as doing his full time job during the week.
After they found out he was gay he was disowned and they even forbid his family from seeing him.
Its very sad that religious people are so unkind
I feel very sorry for him that his family over in the Philippines have been told to disown him.

Day 10. Pool day but different pool. Pool at Le Meridien was undergoing repair and renovation for 3 days. Hotel arranged with sister hotel Marriot Suriwongse for guests who needed gym and pool to use facilities. I took up the offer as I wanted to try Suriwongse's infinity pool. Nice views I must say from the pool but I wouldn't stay at Suriwongse. Too far from gogo bars. Boys will surely complain about walking.
At 9pm, I went to Hot Male beer bar for my Chang draught beer. Aung on duty at bar upstairs. Alex would only appear later. Was served by other waiters. Was in midst of getting to know when @flashbarryallen appeared. He had just arrived in BKK and we had arranged to meet. Gosh! We hit it off so quickly chatting about bars and boys. @flashbarryallen was back in Thailand after 2 years of Covid and was super excited to make up for lost time.
At about 10.20pm, we made our way into Dreamboys. I shamelessly insisted we sit right in the middle in front of stage. Guys in jeans. @flashbarryallen saw guy whom he met many years ago and called him down. Muscular but not hard muscles. Smooth skin. No tattoos at all which is uncommon among muscle guys. I looked at guys on rotation. Some familiar faces from other bars pre-Covid. But music was really loud.
Show started with coyote dancing. 3 boys took turns to dance in front of customers. @flashbarryallen gave his first 100-baht tip post Covid to a coyote dancer in blue briefs. I also gave a tip to the same boy but boy took my hand to stuff it into his blue briefs. We both need to have more practice to do THE VINAPU TUCK. @vinapu take note, I didn't give the name. It was@flashbarryallen who suggested the name!
Coyote dancing was highlight of show. After that, the other performances just paled in comparison. Ladyboy lip synching was below par. The 4 dancers who accompanied ladyboy were good though. I recognise some of them from Lucky Boys. @flashbarryallen took his guy out and I continued watching the show.
Just before the last act (2 pairs of guys sucking each other) the oher guys started getting dressed. After the 4 guys ended their act, a few guys came and stood on stage full clothed for less than one minute for any possible offs and then they headed to the exit. Mamasans then started telling everyone, "Bar close. Bar close." There were still about 5 customers left, some with bottle service and some with shirtless guys seated next to them. I left the bar and saw all the beer bars shuttered and lights off. At the entrance of soi patpong, there were about 10 policemen standing around. No chance to off anyone for me today.

Very very rarely have I had a guy more than really 1 hour.
I tend to like it done quick and I get bored after more than say 1 hour .
Its not timed just I like to take a guy back to my room and basically get on with it .
Sometimes short time to me is less than 30 minutes!
And yes I do tell guys that and some lower their prices back to 500b , that is going back a few years but if they are close by some will do less price for less time .
As for long time I'm not keen as I'm more a loner and I prefer sleeping by myself at night.

Jomtien Complex has changed a lot in 3 1/2 years with many new bars, pop-up bars and cafes. I was pleasantly surprised. Having said that, some things, never change. Home Bar is still the same and Zack sits in the same spot each night. Cocka2 is still operating, although that top end of the Soi can get a little too noisy with bars fighting for music dominance. There are actually more bars now than there have ever been. 69 Bar and B.N Bar (Big Nuts Bar) both opened this month.

There is a new app named BOLT. It's like Uber, but super cheap.
You can get air conditioned cars around Pattaya for 1/2 the price of a motorbike taxi.
