  1. That's exactly the way to deal with them...if you do have to go to these awful places in the first instance.
  2. How can it? Its the middle of the low season. On the other hand I do not think bars advertise that they are going through hard times. As with most closures you will only hear it after the event.
  3. Still have that cheating, lying, Mamasan who used to work at Powerboys in Sunee?
  4. I was there at the same time. Yes it was deserted both of boys and customers. I put it down to the road works in Boyztown which must have put off many customers from venturing down the Soi and into the place. What surprises me is that all the bars, except Oscars, continued to survive. As the construction work has long finished I hope all the bars can now get back on their feet (even tho its now low season) and good luck to Cupidol for lasting out.
  5. Correct beers are 100 Bt each, but you get the odd free one from the owner, so I don't mind. In my opinion one of the better bars in Sunee and they don't close before 3, often far later!
  6. Hanan ...that post above is misleading. It refers to 2007! Yes Sansuk is now 230 Baht, for everybody. And yes it is often deserted nowadays.
  7. its Songkran month. Bars close, boys go home, customers take cover...not a week. or month. to make such a statement!
  8. Spoon, the Grand Palace is open again. KhaoSan Road was a bit of a disappointment for me. Sorry I cannot answer the other questions!
  9. How did he get a visa for UK???
  10. When i tried to join it wanted Facebook details. I refused.
  11. I have never understood all this moving either...
  12. Doubt that. The show actually starts at 2230 and finished around midnight. Not sure Oscars “fails” , plural. Hasn’t it has been sold on, on several occasions as a going concern?
  13. 39 GBP (1700 Bt) booked through Expedia.co.uk. No brekky.
  14. I have flown Eva Air a lot but always Economy. How large are their Business Class seats? Are they flat beds? How does it compare with Qatar, if you know? When leaving the aircraft through Business the seats look so cramped and small, and that’s put me off a little! I was not looking at the premium economy seats in case you thought I was!
  15. Look at it like Tiffany’s show in Pattaya. That is also about an hours show. The cost of Tiffany’s ...minimum 800, up to 3000. And you can’t take the dancers off.
  16. Should have read Done it many times!
  17. . Technically 70 but they accept 69. The thai way of counting age! Don't it many times at 69!
  18. No point in aiming to arrive at 11pm as all bars now have to close at 2 am. And they do nowadays. Night virtually lost. Do not arrive on a Friday afternoon/evening. Traffic always bad. Do not pick a seat near the partitions on the aircraft. Families with kids are seated there as the sky cots hang on the partitions. Pick a seat as far away as possible.
  19. I have just spent an amusing hour sitting in Dicks Cafe opposite Dreamboys. They have a desk with a guy counting and marking down every customer entering the bar. I guess he is also allocating them to each of the barkers. Even the aged German is outside yelling "Dreamboys" together with 10 yes 10 waiters. At 2230 he asked how many... answer 19!... 19 on a Friday evening. Interestingly many Asians were walking straight past and going to other show bars....
  20. Yes Hornet have had it for years ....
  21. I do hope you are right. However the work started last November in the third Soi along and was completed there in January I believe. The next Soi and the interconnecting Soi where Vassa used to be were then started and are still not complete. The Boyztown Soi was started about three weeks ago. As I say I hope you are right, but I cannot see it being finished before the other Soi, and certainly not in two weeks.
  22. One problem for people like me who prefer bars over apps, is that there are less and less bars and gogo bars in Pattaya′. Hence less boys available in the remaining bars....Take Sunnee as an example. Boyztown has its problems with construction and consequently less customers and so less and less boys...Cupidol is an example. Jomtien has expanded, yes, but all the bars are same same..no variety...
