Has anyone been to the Tawan Bar "post coup"? There was a comment on another website that a few months ago the boys were forced to abondon their G strings and briefs and were wearing rather unedifying boxer shorts. Can anyone comment from recent experience and what is the current standard of boy there.

Just on the TV was an item that a bomb blast occured in a coffee shop in the town of Songkhla. Three people were assumed killed and many injured! That was the BBC quote. It would seem that it is a popular shop for soldiers, so it suggests the problem in the South is far from over.

I arrived yesterday (Tuesday) about 11:30 (AM) on EVA via Taipei. The plane took off about 30 minutes late and that made me a little nervous as to whether I could make the 13.15 flight to Chiangmai. No problem at all, lots of time. I was second in line at immigration, my suitcase arrived about 5 minutes later, and I whipped out through customs - all of this occurring in less than 10 minutes. Can anyone from personal experience give advice on "quality" short time rooms in Bangkok? I know there is the hotel near the Jupiter and the BB Inn. Last time I was in Bangkok there was one opposite the Tawan under the name of the Tarntawan not to be confused with the main Tarntawan Hotel around the corner although obviously connected. We do not normally remove posts as it is not productive to do so, but this thread went to far and the accusations made against the bar were not acceptable on the site. I am a newbie here in Thailand, having arrived on the 12th in Bangkok. I found a great bar here with lots of younger looking (but very legal) guys called Classic Boys . I am travelling over the next two months to Chiang Mai, Phuket, and Pattaya. Can anyone suggest any similiar bars that I might find to my liking in any of these other cities?
