The Supreme Court of Thailand has sentenced Thaksin to jail for one year. It ruled that his previous prison term was a sham. At that time, on his first day he complained of feeling ill and was taken to the VIP Wing of a hospital where he spent the entire period of his jail term in a great degree of comfort before being pardoned after 6 months. About 8 to 10 years ago there was a Black American guy, I believe from Texas. who started the practice of give out garlands to the guys for their birthdays while he was in Pattaya. He taped American dollar bills with Thai money; a very clever gesture. Arrived around 7 pm. Really beautiful and pleasant gay onsen with nicely done pools and jacuzzis. Well maintained and looked clean. I'm generally in favor of certain content being inaccessible to children, but if you implement an 18+ block, you obviously have to ensure someone can verify their age so you can access all the content. I've had really bad luck using the apps here, probably even less than in the states. Definitely less than in Latin America. Transport: used the bus from ekkamai to pattaya. Waited around 20 minutes before the scheduled departure. The toilet in the station has been outsourced to mr. Loo - a pay toilet company. When we arrived in pattaya bus terminal, i was surprised that only 2 of us went to the baht bus. So we waited for another 10 minutes to see if other passengers from arriving buses will join us. In another thread there are comments about a flower festival in Baguio in The Philippines. Not so well known is the one that has been held annually in Chiang Mai for more than 40 years and has become a major tourist attraction. Held next year for three days in February, the dates have not yet been set but it takes place over a week-end. Apart from seeing an abundance of flowers in the Chiang Mai area, there is always a major float parade on the Saturday. It's a bit like the summer Candle Festival in Ubon Ratchanthani except the floats are made of flowers and not wax. I have not yet attended and so these photos are from the official Flower Festival site.
