I was in Toolbox Bar in Phnom Penh over the weekend. Normally there are nine staffers in the bar but was surprised to see over 20 boys there on Saturday and Sunday night. I talked to a few of the new faces and they said they've returned from Thailand because of all the turmoil between the two countries. Also was told that the Khmer boys can now only get a seven-day visa for Thailand which doesn't make it economically viable for the boys. They figured most Khmer boys will leave Thailand soon and doubted if they would be returning any time soon, if at all. How are the bars in Bangkok and Pattaya doing? Is the void being filled by Thai, Laos or Burmese boys?

Someone wrote me something to the effect that east european countries r more conservative than brazil. My initial thought was: probably all the countries in the world save two (thailand, colombia) r more conservative than brzl. Question: which countries would u put in the 5-7-10 short list? Dominican Republic? Cambodia? .....?

I will be back in Thailand in September for approx 4 weeks although I tend to get bored after a week and I may go to Vietnam or Malaysia for a side trip Who else will be there in September AND is September going to be busy I went also in October last year and I found it a bit busy I don't like crowds 😞

The daily minimum wage in Thai hotels is set to rise to Bt. 400 from July 1st. This was mandated by the government near the end of last year. I am thinking of visiting Thailand next month and staying less than 30 days in the country. After reading some information on the internet, I am more confused than ever concerning the VISA requirements and the total process. Do I need to apply for an electronic VISA on line before I depart the U.S. for Thailand or can I complete a VISA application form at the airport like I did many years ago? So, as a U.S. citizen visiting Thailand for less than 30 days, what do I need to do? THANKS.

The most impressive I believe is the one in Dansai, a small town of around 10,000 in Loei Province close to the Mekong. You can get there by flyig to Loei and then taking a minimbus to Dansai. This happened one month ago in May. My 3rd trip to Bangkok this year in fact. I normally spend 1 to 2 weeks on holiday in Bangkok at end of year but this year I started taking shorter trips in other months. The first trip was a weekend in February. When we talk about low season we talk generallly about Pattaya But does Bangkok have low season too ?.are the gay bars less full in sat July ? What about Da Nang in Vietnam🇻🇳 and Phone Penh in Cambodia,🇰🇭? They are now considering taxing not only income brought into Thailand from abroad but also income earned abroad that is not brought into Thailand. In practical terms, this may be difficult to enforce. However, it is not a positive development, in my opinion.

15 May. The boys on stage at Freshboys where fully dressed tonight jeans or trousers and white tee shirts. Still offable and the show seemed uneffected. Dont know if it is just tonight or for a couple of nights, was difficult to get that confirmed. I think there has been an issue with the police from what I did pick up. Dreamboys and Goodboys both uneffected. If people with better contracts could follow up. Will report back when the issue resolves.

The XEC variant of covid19 is back in Thailand with more than 71,000 infected and 19 deaths this year - so far. The XEC is a variant of the Omicron strain first identified in Germany in June last year. Numbers in Thailand spiked significantly during the Songkran period. Symptoms appear to be similar to those of the other strains of covid.
