  1. The Tarntawan is offering airport transportation as part of its pricing. BUT ONLY for those booking directly. The booking sites have slightly better (lower) pricing but don’t include the airport ride. The hotel website indicates there is a spa! Reader, are you sure that was a water tank you saw arriving? (Lol). i was pricing hotels as my end of the month trip to Hong Kong looks to be a less than attractive destination as several of my friends are going to be out of town or have advised me to come at another time. As my ticket to HK is of a code that won’t return all of what I paid, my revised plan, will put me into HK airport and I’ll catch a flight to Bangkok and spend three nights and then reverse the whole thing. Now back to hotel shopping...noticing The Raya is noting that many of its offering have windows that are no longer windows but “features”...wondering if these are the rooms that might have faced Twilight if it was still there...then again, they could be on the floor that’s been under construction on the floor under the reception level. So much to discover...

  3. A CURE for the gay man’s, “LONELY BLUES” Ever get gravely bored, sit back and think to yourself, “damn is this what life is about?” if so, then it’s probably your fault and things will never change until you change. What I mean is, most of us don’t put ourselves out there or in situations to meet new people and have new, exciting experiences. I’m know I’m extremely blessed to have a wonderful husband I can travel, dine, eat with and do countless of other things, but before I met my husband I was very active in a lot of gay clubs and activities. When I say gay clubs I don’t mean the clubs you go to at night to hear loud, obnoxious house music all night long. Those kinds of clubs bored the shit out of me. believe it or not, when I would go to those clubs, even though I was surrounded by lots of people, I felt very alone. The type of clubs im speaking of are gay sports clubs. In Miami we have a ton of these clubs. These clubs reach far beyond Miami though and you probably have them in your city or state and just never heard of them. Ive been a long time member of the Miami gay tennis and softball clubs. They also have gay bowling, volleyball, kickball, flag football and gay swim leagues. Before I met my husband these clubs helped fill a void that I desperately needed to be filled. Ive made lasting friendships and close bonds with many of the guys in these leagues. Before you stop reading because you feel as though youre not athletically inclined to participate in these sports, give me a second and I will tell you why you don’t have to be athletically inclined to participate in any of these leagues. First of all, each league has different divisions. Lets say for instance, you are not the strongest or fastest in the aforementioned sports. It doesn’t matter because they can put you in a division that you would perfectly fit in and is more your pace. The A division is usually for the gay guys who could probably play the sport professionally. The D division is for novices and are played at a much slower pace. If youre body wont allow you to participate because of a bum knee, back or any other ailment, then you can volunteer for one of these leagues. They are always looking for board members and people to volunteer at LOCAL, NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL TOURNAMENTS. I always play the sports so ive never volunteered, but if you ask me the volunteers have the most fun because they get to meet everyone at these local, national and international tournaments. These tournaments are lots of fun because during the tournaments the governing board have sanctioned events at gay night clubs, a members home or at a park. There is food, drinks and a shit load of comradery. These teams are usually sponsored by many of the local gay bars and they have fundraisers at these bars to raise money for team uniforms and travels. The fundraisers are a blast also. These events have afforded me the opportunity to meet a lot of nice people and forge friendships that I never would have had I not joined these leagues. A lot of times were lonely because we chose to build walls instead of bridges. In my humble opinion, the gay softball league is probably one of the better leagues to join. They have the most amazing tournaments. If you don’t believe me just google gay softball league in Miami, California or atlanta then you will see just how widespread these leagues are. Also google HURRICANE SHOWDOWN. This is an AMAZING TOURNAMENT played up in ft lauderdale each year during thanksgiving weekend. If you don’t put yourself out there to meet new people and start new friendships then you only have yourself to blame. These leagues were organized by gays in order for us to meet people just like us. I decided to write this piece because my husbands shift has changed at work and now he leaves at 3 p.m. and works until about 11 p.m. this leaves me home alone for 8 hours until he returns. when Im home alone I do get the lonely blues, but I have solace in knowing my hubby will be home by 11:30. What about the gay guy who doesn’t have a husband coming home to them at night? These clubs cant guarantee you will find the man of your dreams, (although I know many guys who have actually met their husbands in one of these leagues), but trust me on this one guys, THESE CLUBS WILL HELP CURE THE GAY MANS LONELY BLUES. Especially, if you go into the league with an open mind and a calm, humble spirit. LIFE IS LIKE A PLATE OF FOOD. IN ORDER TO SPICE IT UP, YOU HAVE TO ADD THE INGREDIENTS TO SPICE IT UP!!!!!! P.S. I also bought a Playstation 4 to help kill time when the hubby is away!! Lots of fun! Be well, fellas!!!!!

    Introduction

I've enjoyed reading your thread, @asnstudent. The vicarious experience of re-living my newbie days has been bittersweet but pleasurable. With regard to Arena and other places of its kind, I learned after a while that I don't necessarily have to do things their way. For instance, I've never liked the sit-and-point method of selecting a masseur from a lineup. After a few years, I decided to take a new approach. I walk down the line and say hello to everybody up close. If I particularly like someone, I shake his hand. If he has a firm grip, that's a good sign for me. When I get to the end of the line I turn back to the guy I want and lead him up to the mamasan.

  6. Oh, I’m quite sure you’d prefer for me to go somewhere else. Since you are someone who thought it was perfectly legal for travelers abroad to have sex with 14-year-old boys in Brazil, it certainly would benefit you not to be challenged on the inappropriateness of anything that suggests having sex with minors.

  7. They didn’t ever work very well anyway. (The ship-centric Aegis system was a minor exception, and does in fact work fairly well. But it is exception, not rule.) It is in very large part, as Eisenhower very presciently told us on his way out, that the military-industrial complex is very toxically selling us its profit-driven pixie dust.

  8. One problem is that many of us who went through the 70's and 80's still think that anti-missle systems work. At one time that may have been true but with the thousands of warheads that system became unreliable and now we have new missles that are immune to anti-missle systems. Elon Musk says we need to get to Mars quickly.

  9. Very grateful for your articulating all of this. I knew some of it already but what you say here lays out the whole thing. (Note to readers: @tassojunior & I do not know each other in person. So this is not just an online blowjob. )

  10. I confess to having had exactly that same mordant thought myself, much more than once. Only thing is, in today’s hair-trigger-wired world — politically, psychologically, technologically — one is hard-pressed to see how any nuclear strike could not (within a very few seconds) become impossible to be ‘limited’ in terms of response, counter-response, rogue actors throwing their few but lethal illegally acquired devices into the show, etc etc.

That's great! It's like the one about the 4 men sitting around bragging about their sons. The first said my son is a world famous engineer. He makes so much money and invents electric cars like the newest Tesla model. Well said the second, that's pretty good but mine is financier on Wall Street, and he makes so much money that he owns multiple penthouse properties in Manhattan! Pretty good, says the 3rd guy. But my son is an entrepreneur and his start ups are so successful that he owns a fleet of private jets. The 4th father was quiet for a while, but finally offered up... my son is gay and he is a male prostitute. The other 3 men looked a bit shocked and then profusely consoled the 4th father. We're so sorry, they said. He replied, "Nah, he's my son and I love him. Plus, he does pretty well for himself. Just this Xmas alone he got a Tesla, a NY penthouse, and a private jet as Christmas presents."

  17. Those are signs of poor management, ESPECIALLY at these small properties. My "claim to fame" as a hotel GM was raising guest satisfaction scores and REVPAR (revenue per available room)...whereas many managers concentrate on ADR (average daily rate). Also because of my management style, reduced employee turnover...happy employees = happy guests (normally) Many employees are lazy and find it easier to say, book on Agoda, Expedia, etc... than to do the actual work or look for a manager to approve the lower rate. On average is a 20 % commision and waiting 45-60 days to get paid, front line employees don't care, however, a manager should.....I sake my head when a manager declines to honor the lower rate and says book online, smh

  18. https://www.gayguides.com/forums/forum/3-gay-thailand/ Has more info than here about Asia, especially Thailand. My advice, if you pick someone up at a bar, app or off the street...be careful ...no way of tracking them. If they work at a bar, I've NEVER had a theft problem with a bar guy.....just not all will perform as "promised"...I can do everything means they'll say that until it comes time to do everything....I am VERY clear about that. Food is AMAZING in Thailand as are the massages...but if you've been already , you know that.
