BL8gPt reacted to newscene in My first long trip to BKK with special thanks to people of this forum.
Howdy guys – I am back in land of happiness, though this time around, I thought to try out some of the new ventures that I have been reading about but never get to try before.

So, I landed on Tuesday and after clearing quick immigration, headed straight to Pattaya. After few hours of nap and flighting with jet lag, I pulled myself together and headed for some food, with the expectation to make night time fun.

Since this is technically my first trip to Pattaya (last one was 2 years ago and only 2 days without much exploring so doesn’t count) and having read a lot on this forum about the ventures that you can find, I was tempted to try nice boys club.

On Google map, it shows the location somewhere close to X-boys, however when searched, I couldn’t locate the place at all. Though after some research, I got to know the place is located in Sunee Plaza and not Boys town.

The location map for Sunee on Google is pretty accurate so it wasn’t too difficult to follow, however when I reached there, to my surprise, not much happening. There were few people sitting outside at host bars, though majority of were at drink place call “Diamond” if I remember that correctly or may be the place is called something else.

Not a good start I thought, though, I noticed, some people walking into Winners, my mind was set towards nice boys though, as some of the members in this forum recommended that place highly. After walking back and forth, I couldn’t see the place at all so decided to give it a try to Winners though I had no expectation from this place, again thanks to this forum, I knew the place is more about twink  which unfortunately I don’t fancy much but hey, nothing is wrong to give it a try so I headed there anyway.

Drink price only 99 Bhat (what, sooo cheap and electronically generated receipt, not hand written), the place was more than half full. Though good for the lads there because some of the gentlemen were having good time with more than one. The one thing that I noticed and was little new to me (probably because I never came here before), the place seems to be more open and people are less shy. This isn’t something that I have witnessed in Bangkok, people do check out goods in there but not that openly. Not that I am complaining but merely stating difference between Bangkok and Pattaya.

About 15-20 guys in the bar, most of them were occupied with patrons, few on the floor, with no one to my liking though, except one, who was pre-engaged with someone else so thought, reason to come back again.

Next stop, Eros, this place looks really deserted, only four guys on the floor, only 2 customers sitting, I was the third one, before
the fourth gentlemen came over (not sure If I will call him gentlemen anymore as there were no traits to be found in him).

He seems either on drugs or something else, as first when he walked, he just wandered around like from one side to another, I though he might be checking the place out but once he got his drinks, instead of making himself comfortable, he pour the drink and then headed straight to the guy next to him to grab his junk and didn’t stop until all four guys were inspected, not a decent behaviour, had he tipped the guys I would have said “Fine”, but common, have some decency, just paying for one drink doesn’t give you right to do this. Anyway, that was enough for me to leave the place so I headed towards Boys town to attend the show at Dream boys.

Dream boys, show starts at 10:20pm, I reached little late so when I seated myself the show had already started, not many guys on the stage, may be around 10-12, drink price 280 Bhat. Show was okay but nothing like Bangkok, which is more grand scale. The show finished at around 11:10pm and so I decided to head somewhere else though wasn’t sure where.

Upon my exit, one very cute guy approached me and that was from next door X boys. He insisted the shows here are much better and funnier than dream boys so decided to give it a go. Drink price, I think around 240 or 280 BHAT not sure what I paid. 15-20 guys on the floor, with place half packed with customers. When I entered, there was clapping, so not sure it was their way to greeting or something else was happening before and I happened to be there. The lad came and sat next to me, of course, drink for the guy, though it was only 200 instead of more expensive.

The show was okay, though definitely more enthusiasm in the guys and most of the them seem to enjoy it. The other thing I
noticed was, everyone had their asset on the display, even the one they might call them star of the house, so you can really inspect if you want to. Since it was already late and I had visited many places already and was okay with the lad sitting with me, I decided to call it a night and have some fun while the night was still young. Offing price 500 BHAT, talked with the guy, long time agreed 2500 Bhat, very happily accepted.

Very nice chap, full of life, great desire to please though his English wasn’t good, so had little hard time interacting, though once the fun started, talking takes less priority anyway. He stayed till morning around 9:00am and left after breakfast but not before exchanging his line number with me.

One day finished and its swimming time before next adventure starts.

    To be continued…

Problem with the ping pong balls is that the bar takes a cut (up to 50%!) of the cost of the bucket
So you are better off to tip the boys directly

I have also stayed at the Zing Resort and Spa in Jomtien twice, going back again next month.

Clean, friendly staff always ready to help, free wifi and TV in the Room, Restaurant serving breakfast until late and dinner, Swimming Pool and Sauna no problem with visitors, very near Jomtien Complex and the beach.

Yes the price is low, and probably even lower in the summer which is low season.

There is also another Zing Hotel not very far. Just make sure which one you are booking.

Of course i had to pay for his services.
But he threw in extra way more than i expected. It is possible that they were not much out of ordinary but i was traumatized by that overdemanding under performing moonlight model the previous night. So the contrast was obvious to me.

Many of you complain about the annoying Mamasans at FreshBoys, (and other places) , but when was the last time you were there? They replaced the entire staff and only one Mamasan seems annoying to me. I told him I’d like to be left alone my first time there and he never bothered me again. They do give coins for change but usually only 5. I’ve never seen them give 10.
I think There is a good mix of boys there now. Don’t be afraid of Mamasans. Their not going to throw you out. I’ve always just politely but firmly said if I need you I will call you over. I just don’t have problems with them. If you don’t try to get your point across they will try to walk all over you. It’s easier for us to ruin their night than for them to ruin our night. We have control of the tip.

There are plenty of naïve posters on this board that are lacking in knowledge of the local drug culture when it comes to Thailand, and in particular when it comes to the gay scene...

Burying your head in the sand does not make an issue go away.

For me drug awareness education is as important as safe sex education.
When users take Ice they lose their sexual inhibition and are more likely to engage in unsafe sex

For those that use the gay hook-up apps, keep an eye out for the tell-tale signs that a guy is looking for High Fun and keep well clear
    e.g.
-HF, CF or Chems written in their name or profile - means they want High Fun or Chemical Fun, same with "chem friendly", avoid!
-PNP Means Party & Play and is same as Chemical Fun
-Emojis of Snowflakes or Snowmen - means they are either selling or have Cocaine or Ice and want High fun, avoid!
-Emojis of Clouds or airplanes - usually means they are already high/flying high and are looking for someone to come and prolong the session, avoid!
-Emojis of Syringes - usually means that they want to slam (inject directly into the vein) these are the worst kind, so should be absolutely avoided

If you opt to have shallow pockets it's  your choice but don't invoice service personnel in Thai bars for your earning and saving troubles

Many wait staff only work for tips and you say it’s their fault as they should get a better job.
Then you say you can’t affort a bank transfer fee or to tip a waiter. Maybe you should look for a better job.

I admit I tip very well. But I don’t judge people that don’t want to. It’s a personal choice. What I have a problem with is your hypocrisy and sheer glee in the fact that you take pride in stiffing the work staff . Save your 20 baht, you might need a little someday.

Also this is just a place for me to write abt my trip like a diary for future reading and enjoyment, and not meant to be like a super informative guide, but hope it helps!

    Day 1

So landed in Suvarnabhumi Airport and the queue was terrible... almost 30 minutes for immigration. Took airport taxi which ran by meter to my trusted Le Meridiem Hotel on surawong road. About 280 baht + 75 for highway toll + 50 for airport fees. Ive been to bangkok at least 7-8 times since my very first trip in 2014.. typing all this on my phone so abit hard to link to my first trip report, but if ur keen u can click my username and see my threads, otherwise ill put a link when im back home.

Le meridiem hotel is my go to hotel, ive stayed here on all trips except once (didnt hv the dates i wanted) and i hv no complaints. No issues with bringing a friend overnight, good in room food service all day long, theres a small gym/pool area which is not bad with nice shower facilities (i use it when i have to checkout but staying in bangkok a few more hours till my flight), nice spacious room. Abit pricey though, but if within your budget, highly recommended.

Went off for a massage first at arena. Walked there from the hotel. It opens at 11.30am but went there about 1pm+. the mall its in looks very rundown with shops that appears to have closed down. But fret not, head to level 3 and you’ll find arena. Once in, about 20 shirtless guys were standing around and I had a hard time choosing. The selection of guys were more older, less twinky im fact 0 twinks, but more rugged kind of guys. Paid 600 for the room for 1 hour and headed up. Room was not very nice/looks abit dirty but it dosent matter to me. Chose a guy called Sam and had a good hard massage for about 45 mins before moving on to hugging/carressing/licking for a short while heh. gave 1500 in tips.

I would say arena dosent have the best facilities compared to senso/prince, abit dirtyish but good enough for me for a massage. Selection of guys compared to senso/prince i would say is more older rugged kind of feel, sweaty kind of vibe. But ive been here every trip and i would recommend it. Price of the rooms is the lowest.

I then headed to the prince. Took a long walk through the streets of silom, had a long tiring walk under the sun and was all sweaty.. nearly took a cab but i told myself how dare i, after all the decadence i was going to have, i had to work for it heh. Prince by far probably has the best facilities, but higher prince for the room. paid 1100 for 1.5hr room. The guys are behind a glass wall, gymming/playing pool, but will stand in a line once a customer comes in. Given a ice cold drink as well which was much needed. Selected a cuteish looking guy called Fem. guys here are more muscleish , theres young hunks & older as well. didnt rly see any twinky ones. Selection was hard cuz there were lots of hot muscle bois =) but eventually settled on Fem. found out that he was gay while chatting, probably explains why we were making out almost the whole time hee. Not much massage to be honest, went into the after massage bits fairly quickly, but oh well, not complaining. tipped 2000 and headed to senso =)

but i was hungry and decided to cab to silom to take a bite. actually just wanted to cool down abit, sun was rly hot, and headed to haagan daz to have an ice cream and air con.

Next walked to senso. Everytime i go to senso i have to walk past 1-2 times and then walk back again haha because senso is the most like exposed massage place, sometimes im too shy to enter straigt away. I remember my very first time, i walked past it back and forth at least 3-4 times before quickly entering. Its on a busy street and anyone can see u enter it. But after awhile i didnt care anymore haha and i just walked str in today. Senso has a mamasan as a host, had about 10 guys standing very close to you (1m away) all lined up, shirtless and sweaty from their gymming, and smiling at u oh boy.. but i quickly chose Tim, my go to senso boy. Had him at least 4-5 tims before and have no complaints. He does a hard massage, and sensual too. 1000 for the room, 1500 as tips. Senso has decent facilities, comparable to prince. Main difference between senso and prince i would say os that in senso, the boys are 1m from you without any glass wall. You can see them up close and sometimes a bit intimidating as well but fun i guess. In prince u can be sitting 5-10m away, although if u want u can definitely go up close and have a look. Quality of boys largely the same kind of muscleish jockish young guys.

Headed out and bought mango sticky rice from this lady just at the main silom road outside senso street, shes been there since 2014 at least when i first went to bkk, and i love her mango sticky rice!

Headed back to hotel and resting awhile before deciding which bar to go to tonight heh...

Am considering trying out a new massage place for fun, any suggestions? Ive always been to arena/senso/prince only on my past few trips for convenience (i always stay at le meridien), all walkable distance. I did went to the old hero, but not the new one.

I find clothing on local markets inexpensive but as soon as we move closer where foreigner congregate it becomes more costly.

But days of shopping on my trips are long gone, I like to travel lightly- both ways. It means I tend to buy everyday items -shaving cream , soap, tea and sugar etc there and can't care less about the price.

Thing I like to buy in abundance in Thailand is guy's time with me and country remains well stocked with that item

Train leaves every 15 minutes between 6 am and midnight from lowest level of airport- well posted.

Additional plus of using it are  exchange booths on airport train station - one of best rates around if not the best  which was a case for me 2 weeks ago.

It cost 45 baht to BTS / elevated rail / Phaya Thai  where one can BTS train / separate ticket necessary /  to Sukhumvit area or with change at Siam station , to Silom area.

Another option of getting to Sukhumvit or Silom is alight at Makkasan station and change to MRT / subway / at Petchaburi station by covered walkway all the way.  One needs separate ticket for MRT as well

I guess you can do that, or alternatively use the coach at I think 142 B, very confortable journey. You can then hire a taxi or baht bus from the terminal at Jomtien to your hotel.
