Bringing a parent to Pattaya

I'm seriously thinking of taking my mom to Pattaya for a month in the summer.  I'll probably rent two studios in the same building; my mom is healthy and fit and can take care of herself.  I suggested Hua Hin but nooo "I want to go to Pattaya" - she's been with her casino buddies and likes the energy of the place.  We'll probably do the usual shopping, sightseeing, spas, trips to Bangkok and maybe some dental work for the both of us.  That sounds like a lot already but are there other activities that you might suggest for a sprightly 70-year-old?  I just want to make sure she doesn't get bored.

Assuming that Mom is aware of the abundance of GAY activities in Pattaya, she can still enjoy herself doing more mundane things there.  Start her day with a healthy breakfast and thereafter let her laze around the beach/condo pool until lunch.  There are enough restaurants for her to venture around for 30 days.. try my current favourties from my recent visit - the Wooden Box and Toto.  A simple salad at the Wooden Box is a sure way to keep her filled until dinner.

After lunch, let her have her daily foot massage.  It cost something like THB 200 per hour in some decent places in Pattaya. She could alternate it with full body Thai massage whenever she wants/needs.  Let her relax till dinner and something like a pan pizza will suffice.  I believe older people tend to sleep early, almost immediately after dinner.

You could spice up her days with various entertainment and other leisure activities.  Let her do some movie watching, bowling and if she is healthier, take pre or post-dinner stroll along the beach.  I think you could throw in sight seeing tours throughout her visit.  The addition of gay-related activities is, in Thai terms, "up to you!".

The ladyboy shows at Tiffany or Alcazar are mom-friendly and entertaining,

A girl agogo, one of the better ones, such as What's Up or Sapphire on Soi 15 would give a flavour of Walking Street without being too 'bold'.

Other than that there are the usual tourist bits, such as the Crocodile Farm, Underwater World, the Floating Market or The Sanctuary of Truth.

A day (or even half-day) out on the ferry to Koh Larn is cheap and cheerful,

My Parents are in Late 60s/Early 70s and have also threatened to visit Thailand at the same time as me on many occasions

I could see my mother happily passing a day in Central,  Royal Garden and Mike, the floating village, the orphanage, Sanctuary of truth,an evening in Theprassit market... However I could not imagine my mother climbing into the back of moving songtaew... and certainly not on a motorbike taxi!

So I think the Taxi Meters would be making plenty of money from us!

My biggest fear would be some nelly or LB calling out my name and chasing after me as we all walked down walking st!

So if they do decide to join me... Pattaya will definitely not be on the itinerary!
