Looking at this morning's news, indications are that virtually all sides are dissatisfied with Abhisit's peace proposals and the whole thing may already be coming apart at the seams. Returned from the US yesterday. Left from New York on Korean Air. After a two hour stop in Seoul finally got to Bangkok. While the flight is its usual long self, this airline does have some pluses. One is that the rows of seats are further apart than many others. Secondly, the flight crew is much more attuned to one's comfort than others I have taken and this includes, EVA, Cathay Pacific and Thai Air. Give them a try.

I walked around Silom this afternoon . Except for an Army presence, it is pretty much back to normal. Barricades, wire etc are all gone except for a few spots where it has been rolled up but not removed. Skytrain is normal and everything is open. Traffic is back to normal flow but very light at least at 1pm.

On pictures in gayromeo, boys often wear a pice of clothing like a thick rope coming from behind their neck going to under the armpit to the back. Probably, they pulled the front of a shirt behind their neck (I just tried, it looks similar, but is a bit unconfortable). But why? Kind of taking off T-shirt without loosing it? Obviously not, as many of the photos seem to be at home. I'm not sure, but I think I saw it in gogo-bars as well. Does anyone has got an idea? There is a new French restaurant opening soon on the ground floor of the now closed Flamingo Hotel - it is called Montecristo's and it will feature French cuisine. The upgrade has been extensive. My understanding is that it will open in the next few days -they are definitely planning on opening prior to Christmas.

Sundance Beer Bar in Sunee Plaza was sold this afternoon. It will be closed for a couple of weeks for renovation, then reopened and run by a rather good looking young Thai. Always good to have new places to sit and vegetate during the slow rainy season!

A friend treated me and another friend to Sunday Brunch at Amari's Mantra. (Mothers' Day) I had never been there before. I believe it might be the best brunch in Pattaya. It may seem a bit puzzling to some, but this is it: the old site www.thailandscene was mainly a listing of Thai Gay venues. There are many of those sites, but these seemed fairly comprehensive, neutral and was kept up to date as far as that is possible hre in Thailand. When wanted to search something the other day, I was a bit surprised to now find it linking into the www.dragoncastle.com site-also a well-known gay Thai-listings and more site. I suppose it has been merged or taken over. For some of you it may mean a delete from your favorites list.
