From South China Morning Post Long-term look at coronavirus impact on male sex hormone Doctors in the central Chinese city of Wuhan plan to embark on a long-term study of the effects of the coronavirus on the male reproductive system, building on small-scale research indicating that the pathogen could affect sex hormone levels in men. Though still preliminary and not peer reviewed, the study is the first clinical observation of the potential impact of Covid-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus, on the male reproductive system, especially among younger groups. From Coconuts Bangkok Starting tomorrow, anyone boarding commuter rail in Bangkok must wear a mask, officials ordered today. The Transport Ministry on Tuesday issued an order that all passengers boarding any type of train including the state railway, BTS Skytrain, MRT and Airport Rail Link must wear face masks at all times to help reduce the further spread of COVID-19. No similar announcement has yet been made for the city’s extensive bus services. Supplies of masks will be available for free or at “affordable prices” at some stations such as BTS Siam, MRT Silom, MRT Phra Ram 9, ARL Phaya Thai and ARL Makkasan for those who do not have one. Thai…

    1. BKK airport Immigrated two times within in the last 2 weeks. Both times immigration took less than 5 minutes, just 2-3 people in front of me directly at the counter. I think its not normal for february, Corona is really doing harm to Thai turism. The first time there was no temperature scan (if i remember correctly), the second time there was. I wondered if I have to do the fingerprints a second time, and the answer is "probably no". I put my fingers on the scanner as the software told me to do so. While the officer was typing the whole process got cancelled, so I guess as soon as the software knows there are recent fingerprints in the system, there is no n…

For years I have been toying with the idea of visiting a sauna but never had the guts to visit one. So I've read about R3 and Sauna Mania and it seems they are more for a younger and/or Asian crowd only? (correct me if I'm wrong) Any tips or other saunas that might be better suited? I'm 45 and caucasian. Thanks!

  6. Last night, Wednesday, the bars in Silom soi 4 and Patpong that have a restaurant service and actual restaurants were allowed by the local police to open with reduced seating arrangements. then suddenly at about 6:30 panic instructions for all businesses to close immediately. Apparently the BIB had heard that a 'big' reporter/ photographer would be touring the district to report. This included actual restaurants. A few yards away in Silom Road it was business as usual in restaurants and bars. The closed business were told that this might be for a few nights only or until the end of the month.

From South China Morning Post The global health body warns that targeting travellers from infected areas may discourage countries from reporting outbreaks and delay the arrival of medical aid Some analysts fear that countries which attempted to restrict movement failed to use their time to prepare their health systems to cope with Covid-19 After decades of experience in dealing with global disease outbreaks as deadly as Aids and Ebola, the World Health Organisation has forged a series of guidelines on how to deal with epidemics. Most countries are now ignoring them in the face of the coronavirus pandemic. It has speci…

From my travel insurance company: Dear XXXXXX, The unprecedented disruption that Coronavirus is causing across the travel industry has caused us to make some very difficult decisions. On the 11th March 2020, the World Health Organisation upgraded the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak to a worldwide Pandemic. Based on this, as of the 13th March 2020, we have classed Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) as a “Known Event” in line with the policy terms conditions. How does this impact me? If you purchased your policy before the 13th March 2020: - For any element of your trip booked before the 13th March 2020, any subsequent claim will be co…

  9. Cabinet to vote to postpone Songkran to a date TBD. Certainly a wise decision. Conflicting reports of closing entertainment venues so personally I'm going to wait until the reports are consistent. https://www.bangkokpost.com/thailand/general/1880010/songkran-to-be-postponed-venues-and-schools-closed https://www.nationthailand.com/news/30384184?utm_source=homepage&utm_medium=internal_referral Khao Sod says that the cabinet will consider the proposal to close pubs, cinemas, etc., tomorrow (17 March)

Hi everyone, I just returned from a short trip (10 days) to Pattaya and Bangkok. On my second day I did find a very nice guy from Cambodia, in the Jomtien Complex. Wanted to take him to my hotel, Welcome World Beach Hotel, which is very near the Jomtien Complex. He wasn't allowed to enter the hotel; they checked his passport and because he did not have visa, he was not allowed. Very disappointing for him and me! For my next trip to Pattaya in november I am looking for a hotel, which doesn't make any problem like this. I am looking for a hotel not too far from the Jomtien Complex, if possible with seaview and a nice swimmingpool! Do you have any advice? Than…

Has anyone had experience offing one of the dancers from Fake Club? (Love the video below with the dancers sporting a stiffie...) How much would that cost? How are they compared to the models @Moonlight?

  14. I was expecting for this to happen, but waking up right now, this news was first in my FB feed. Actually, it was my Brazilian BF who told me the news first, and he is equally bummed: I was set to spend a week in Bangkok for Songkran with the BF, but with this news, I am not sure. There are options to get the tickets I already bought to be refunded, or the money already paid to be applied for next year's parties. I have to think about what to do next. Maybe just agree to not to get refunded and just have tickets for SK2021, since I still want to go for Songkran. The BF has been especially nervous with traveling all the way to Bangkok (from Brazil) d…

What are the current recommendations for host bars in Bangkok.? Welcome looked busy when I was there in Balcony a couple of months ago while Banana on Soi 4 less so. However, I understand that there are other floors to that establishment...are they just bars with hosts too? And what about Patpong 1/2....anything similar there?

  16. I have been procrastinating over writing a trip report about my trip to Bangkok during Christmas. But as it turns out, I ended going on another trip just one month later in January during the Chinese New Year holiday. In December, I met the nicest guy ever - polite, considerate, caring - traits of the perfect boyfriend. And he also has a hot compact lithe body because he is a dancer. I spent boyfriend time with him and alternating with another guy (someone I met at a massage shop). So two boyfriends over 10 days. Besides sex, we did normal boyfriend things - eating, shopping, going for foot massage, going to bars together and watching the shows. But it was dancer boyfrien…

Does anyone here know of this bar in Chiangmai called "Kingsway"? I cant seem to find the address (in English). Thanks. https://www.facebook.com/pg/kingswayclub/photos

  18. Chosen as one of Bk-magazine's top 5 Silom bars- it has apparently gay themed sundays with bare sixpack-men showing off. The last Issue of Brunch of the BKK-post weekend magazine showed sunday 26/11 was its 3d anniversary-with a cabaret show by a katoey. Opening times of that bar are from 8.00-till 2.00-but its unclear when the gay thing should happen-some say afternoon, but the show was evening. Could be a nice spot to meet non-MBs, anyone has been? (PS; do not confuse with JIMMY Choo-which is in fact an expensive lady-shoes brand).

  19. I was just surfing around for coronavirus news when I chanced upon this tidbit from Singapore's Channel News Asia. The poor sod recklessly tried to live out his fantasy. https://www.channelnewsasia.com/news/singapore/thai-tour-coordinator-gets-jail-and-caning-for-sexual-assault-of-12495206 3 March 2020 Thai tour coordinator gets jail and caning for sexual assault of man in Singapore SINGAPORE: A Thai tour coordinator, in town to organise a business trip, sexually assaulted his male roommate while he was sleeping. 20. Has anyone gotten their Thai BF into the states, maybe on a K4 visa or anything? Reading about it on the .gov website, seems almost impossible. I would like to marry my thai BF in the US.

  21. This was not meant as a trip report (I’m not sure if I’ll get around to write one for this trip), but it turned out to be as long as one. It is my reflection on my time with one of the boys during my recent trip. If you’ve read my last two trip reports, I’ve been going on about adorable Myanmar boy from Screwboys. I first met him in December when I offed him for two consecutive nights but missed out to get his contact. In January, he has stopped working and was back in Myanmar. I was back in Bangkok over the last weekend, I have booked this trip even before my January trip. I am fortunate to be able to go to Bangkok so often, though I have not decided on …

I will be meeting my Fiances Parents in April. Anyone know how I should do it properly? The Father is English so a Hand Shake would suffice, Do I Wai his Mother? Do I bring a gift to her? It will not be at the Parents home but at the Hotel. I have read about how it should go, does anyone have "real world" experience?

  23. Its time for me to start writing my report again. Last year, I had told myself i would not prefer to go to LOS during this time. Crowds is crazier, hotels are more expensive, so is the flight, and of course, boys are also more demanding. But as the year goes, i havent taken enough annual leave and need to use them by year end, so if i needed to overspend for travelling anywhere, ill choose one place that im sure will get my money worth, and that is LOS. This time around, I have the luxury of knowing what to expect travelling to bangkok and pattaya during this time, so i am very well prepared. And instead of focusing on the cons, there are clear advantages of travelling du…

Hi, I’m new to this forum and am a virgin looking to lose my virginity in Thailand next month. I’m already planning a trip to Bangkok in March (planning to stay at Le Meridien). What would the best place to go to off a guy? I know I most probably can’t decide for myself and probably need advice from a Mamasan regarding my preference (I’m a top and would prefer twink/athletic type of guys). Should I go to certain bars or maybe a massage place would be better? Need help..
