In a step that is aimed at making travel to India significantly easier, I am delighted to share with you that from 27th November, 2014, the Government of India has introduced the Visa on Arrival (enabled by Electronic Travel Authorization) facility for travelers visiting India from 43 countries including USA. You simply need to complete an online form that would take approximately 30 minutes to fill, upload your photograph and attach a scanned image of the photograph page of your passport. Payment is made online, and the Electronic Travel Authorization is processed and emailed to you within five working days.

Auckland Gay and Gay Friendly Businesses & Organizations Grinder | 348 Karangahape Road | 9-307 9191 | no website Formerly The Den, the back room of this sex shop is a cruising spot. It's pretty hard core – there's not really a lot to do there other than suck and fuck, and it can get a bit grimy. But if you're up for a naughty time, this place is as good as any.

Does anyone have wisdom to share regarding use of cash (BAHT) while in Thailand? How much to take with? Where to find best rate while there? Use of ATM (which bank) or best exchange house? Or do I just use my credit cards?

When you read through the narrative of the manual, either the Thai's are insulting the Chinese or the Chinese are not good tourists. Based on all the good things I have read about Thailand, I assume the manual does not apply to the behavior of American tourists in Thailand. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/travel/destinations/asia/thailand/11416014/Thailand-issues-good-behaviour-manual-for-Chinese-tourists.html

I have stayed at this hotel many times over the years and I love the service and the attention to detail. The staff is excellent and the Executive Lounge is very nice and had nice offerings at night. The hotel is still very laid back and easy to rest. I had 2 friends with me for the 10 nights and they both love this hotel. In fact, when I called then to tell then I wanted to spend Xmas in Thailand I asked them which city they wanted to go and what hotel and they both wanted this hotel. I think they like the very relaxing day beds outside. The hotel upgraded us to a nice pool terrace and it is like a private pool that is surrounded by shrubs. It is not a big pool b…

As the subject of K-Pop has already come up on a couple of threads, I notice that the BBC has been running a documentary about this phenomenon. It focused on a new group called “9MUSES” which was filmed getting ready for its debut in August 2010 . Had the show been about a cute K Boy band rather than some quite cute, but generally clueless girls, it would have been more interesting. Not surprisingly, talent is not a requirement. Of the nine in this group, the producer, song-writer and choreographer agreed that most could not sing, and that only four could dance – so these four had always to be at the front of the stage. All agreed that the key ingredient above all was lo…

Thailand is a great place for medical tourism. The hospitals are clean and staffed with American trained doctors. They are quick and professional and cheap. They also cater to customer service and make sure you feel taken care of. In Bangkok, try: Bumrungrad https://www.bumrungrad.com/ The hospital is amazing. I went in yesterday to get my high blood pressure prescription filled. I was in and out in less than 1 hour. I had refills ready, blood checked and tested and test results done, prescriptions filled and in a bag waiting for me. I also had prescriptions for sleeping (Ambian and Valium) as well as my testosterone medication refilled. It is so quick and so ea…

I was only there for one night as I flew in late at night and the boys had to get to the city the next morning to meet me before we headed to the beach for 2 weeks. I have stayed in this hotel many times and always enjoyed it. The hotel was full and so they told me my regular room was unavaible so they upgraded me to the Royal Suite for free. I loved it. Huge TV. Amazing decor. Big room. The Executive Lounge was excellent and the breakfast buffet was wonderful. I loved the Xmas decorations there. I had a doctors appointment early the next morning and told the front desk that I had two guests traveling to meet me and they said no problem. I left and did my erran…

OK, so did this raid occur because the bar was gay or because it was unlicensed or because of the drugs? Or maybe because the owner wasn't taking care of the police? Also, is it SOP for the police to detain all the customers in a bar raid? Just wondering if someone here has any information to offer on this incident. If I copied it right, here's a video of the gay Thai-Pop star arrested at the bar.

17 years after they agreed to a 50-year plan of "two Chinas" with Hong Kong having greater autonomy, Beijing is backing off that pledge. Can these protests end any differently than they did in Tiananmen Square in 1989?

UA is currently offering airfares for next March at $790 RT on certain dates. This is as low as I have seen it for quite sometime. Hell sometimes it costs that much to fly across the USA.

Made it to Bangkok yesterday. The older I get, the longer this trip gets. I flew from Ft.Lauderdale to Dallas and then Dallas to Hong Kong on Americans new service there. Finishing up the day with Cathay to Bangkok. I was pleasantly surprised by American. I flew in Business. The seats are about the same as those on Cathay. Window seats are all single, so lots of privacy. I'm not a person that needs lots of service. I just want to read my book, or watch a movie. But while not Cathay service where FA's are always there, it was really up there. Dinner after takeoff, snack 1/2 way and breakfast on arrival. A good supply of decent snacks were always available. Arrived in…

It was a very interesting trip for me to Thailand this year. I did not go for the bars, Clubs, massage parlors or anything of the sort very many times. I made this trip to Thailand and order to get into shape and to lose some weight. All in all, I spent slightly less than two months in Thailand. I stayed in three different hotels, visited three different fitness centers, and had approximately 15 Thai massages. When I first arrived in Thailand I stayed at the Intercontinental Hotel in Bangkok. I have stated this hotel many times over the last 10 years. It is one of my favorite hotels in Thailand. I like the convenience of being close to all the malls and easy access to th…

The logistics of arranging such a meeting would be enormous, but having a group of like-minded fellow boytoyians get together could be enormous fun. We have the guys who know so much abut Thailand who could help you get started or just gain your bearings, So why not think about it? Perhaps In January of 2015, or an earlier date to take advantage of the drop in tourism. It's a long flight, but not necessarily an expensive destination. So maybe Oz could put a package together, and give us all a first hand look at this rising democracy. I've a list of 14 possible guides for you! http://modelsocietyintl.wordpress.com/2013/08/21/pdn-thailands-man-of-the-year-2013-17-finali…

I received an email from a hotel I like in Bangkok, saying that "Bangkok is back"! "The nationwide curfew has hardly stopped travellers from enjoying their time in Thailand," the Tourism Authority of Thailand newsroom reported on May 30, and we’ve just launched special stay-and-dine packages at lebua at State Tower and Tower Club at lebua exclusively for those who want every moment of that time to be exceptional. They even told us how to handle the curfew! Stay in your room! "The TAT added that "most tourists are already relaxing in the comfort of their accommodation when the midnight to 4am curfew is imposed". Guests will certainly relax in in the comfort of their ac…

Most of this has been posted on another board. I copied all of my updates and edited the posts to mesh together into one flowing report... Till I got tired and said hell with it and just decided to post the last half unedited. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Someone asked me about my trip to Thailand and I told them I would post about it. This was not my first trip to Thailand and it won’t be my last. You should know that it was my plan to go to Brazil for vacation but plans changed and I was on my way back to Thailand for the umteenth time. I flew out of Philadelphia Wednesday Morning on Qatar Ariline with a connection in Dohar…

I went to Banana Massage today down the road from Hero which I always like. But, I wanted a change. So, I gave Banana a try. They did have some cute boys but I hate the fact the place is a bit dirty and the boys seemed to have zero interest in work. But, I found one lad from Vietnam that I really thought was cute but the mamasan knew nothing about the boy. So, I left but the boy was outside and I chatted with him and decided to do a massage. The rate was 650 bath for the hour plus a tip of at least 750 for the boy. Much cheaper than Hero. The boy was sweet. But, I ate communal showers. As I was getting a bath rub down, another boy came in with his client. Not some…
