  1. Auckland Gay and Gay Friendly Hotels Neil & Mike's Place | 40 Baildon Road | 9 376 8599 | http://www.neilandmike.co.nz/homestay.htm Neil and Mike are the gay couple who run this friendly B&B, and welcome visitors with winter discounts for lengthier stays and will even make an evening meal for you upon request. The rooms are nice, their garden is adorable, and Neil and Mike make their own pickles, chutneys and marmalade. Fabulous.

  2. Auckland Gay and Gay Friendly Hotels Ascot Parnell Boutique Bed & Breakfast | 32 St Stephens Ave | 9-309 9012 | http://www.ascotparnell.com/ Ascot Parnell is walking distance from Hobson Bay, and has cute, spacious rooms and a nice personal touch – they'll even pick you up from the airport. It's not quite as design-y as the other B&Bs on our list, but it's a solid choice if you want to get away from the gayborhood.

  3. Auckland Gay and Gay Friendly Hotels Ponsonby House | 8 Douglas St | 9-361 1368 | http://www.thebedandbreakfast.co.nz/ Ponsonby House is a boutique B&B. The rooms can stray a little into the fussy category, but they're comfortable, the en suite bathrooms are sleek and modern, and the location can't be beat. The charming front porch is a great spot to spend some time with a good book before heading out.

  4. Auckland Gay and Gay Friendly Hotels Quest Ponsonby | 68 Ponsonby Rd | 9-360 4240 | http://www.questapartments.co.nz/Accommodation/140/new_zealand/auckland_suburbs/quest_ponsonby/welcome.aspx Another serviced apartment complex, Quest Ponsonby is walking distance of the K Road gayborhood, but is on a quiet street so you'll feel like you're coming home at the end of a long and fruitful evening. And because it only has 38 apartments, you'll receive a bit more personal service than at the Metropolis.

  5. Auckland Gay and Gay Friendly Hotels Metropolis | 1 Courthouse Ln | 9-300 8800 | http://www.metropolisresidences.com/ Metrpolis is a high-rise residence, which is like having your own apartment in Auckland – but with housekeeping, a great gym, and all the amenities of a hotel. And if security while traveling is a concern for you, this is your place – they take residents' security very seriously.

  6. Auckland Gay and Gay Friendly Hotels la's Bed & Breakfast | 33 England St | 9-378 8819 | http://www.bellasbedandbreakfast.co.nz/ This small B&B is nothing less than exquisite – modern design meets the Victorian bones of this house, with slavish attention to detail and a common area you'll never want to leave. Book the City Lights room for an outdoor space and fantastic views. Full breakfast included.

  7. Auckland Gay and Gay Friendly Hotels Abaco on Jervois | 57-59 Jervois Rd | 9-360 6850 | http://www.abaco.co.nz/ This Ponsonby property has studios and apartments that are great for having a more private, personal space than a hotel or B&B. They're simple but nice, and it has free wifi, free parking, Sky TV, and a quiet location.

  8. Auckland Gay and Gay Friendly Hotels Mollies | 6 Tweed St | 9-376 3489 | http://www.mollies.co.nz/ Mollies is a small – only seven suites – and luxurious boutique inn that seems more like your rich friend's amazing beach house than a hotel. The common areas are super comfortable, and the rooms are divine – make sure to book one with a water view.

  9. Auckland Gay and Gay Friendly Hotels CityLife Auckland | 171 Queen St Auckland | 9-379 9222 | http://www.heritagehotels.co.nz/hotels/citylife-auckland CityLife, part of the Heritage Hotel brand, caters to business travelers and those who like the amentities offered to business travelers. The BF and I went to the movie today at Siam Paragon. This mall is the one I talk about all the time with the cute boys overflowing the walkways. I have never seen such a gathering of beauty in my life. But, we were really early and I decided to go to the bathroom. There was this really cute guy outside, around 18-19 years old, and he was just standing. I found him very attractive and asked him where the bathroom was and he told me. It was right behind him and I knew that but I just smiled at him and winked. He followed me into the bathroom and into a stall. Well, I wasn't ready to have sex as I didn't have a condom on me but we did make out and he ended up giving me a …

I have been in Thailand for 3 weeks and have some reports I will share after the trip but thought I would post this to show the type of reasonable Hotels you can get in this wonderful city full of Hot Boys. Checked in yesterday . The rate was $85 a night including breakfast. I have stayed at all the Marriotts in BKK and find this Courtyard very good value for money. First the staff greets you at the front door with a big smile and "How are you Sir" and there is just something more genuine about it. Front desk speaks excellent English and as requested they upgraded me to a Corner Room because of my Gold Status. Now the last few years I have stayed at some o…

  12. One day to go and I know I have not posted much but it was a funny trip. This is low season and not too many Gay visitors . Frankly I have become increasingly tired of the Bars and have concentrated on my Iphone contacts from previous trips and Gayromeo. Most of the boys I meet on Gayromeo also work the Bars . Spent 24 days in Pattaya and 5 nights in Bangkok Only went to the Bars a few nights. Certainly I not recommend for first time visitors this course of action but it is fine for me. Even for first time visitor I think you should explore Gayromeo and Grindr is very active in Thailand. In Pattaya it just seemed there was a constant flow of new Young talent. Lega…

I will find myself soon on business in Manila for 4 days. Have never been and looking for suggestions. Hotels with best locations to the strip bars - I am more of an upscale hotel kind of guy. Gayromeo is chok a block of selections, anyone specific Any and all info is great. I read a past thread that Firecat was going to Manila - so FC did you ever go?

  14. Hospitals in Thailand are much different than they are in the United States. First of all the hospitals here are much cleaner and better organized than they are in the USA. I had some problems with my legs and so I made an appointment to see a doctor at Bumrungrad Hospital in Bangkok. http://www.bumrungrad.com The main difference between the hospitals in Thailand and the hospitals in America probably comes down to customer service that is presented at the hospitals in Thailand. When you walk into the hospital, you can go to pretty much any doctor that you want to see and you are treated with kindness and respect from everyone from nurses to doctors to technicians. You…

Well, I thought I knew quite a bit about Japan, but here’s something new to me! In the gay cruising club Masquerade (note it’s not a sauna – it’s more what the Japanese call a ‘hattenba’, meaning it has very limited bathing and shower facilities), there are special discounts for well endowed patrons. And presumably you have to be measured before you pay your entry fee – http://www.masquerade-tko.com/html/masquerade_english.html Masquerade is in the Takadanobaba district near Takadanobaba station on the JR green Yamanote line – 2 stops from Shinjuku main station.

I posted some questions here and on other websites before emabarking on a trip to China. Turned out, no need to pay for escorts. Planet Romeo and Grindr were more than enough, for the east coast: HK, Beijing, Shanghai. However, when travelling westward inland these two became totally useless. Fortunately somebody taught me that Jack'd was the answer. I've never heard of this website/application before, but it turned out great. Even in relatively small cities I was besieged by young Chinese literally begging to hook up with a mature/older caucasian. Go for it! BTW, does anybody know of other websites/applications that are not used in the West but are very popular in othe…

Weirdest Laws in Thailand By Roger | August 25th, 2008 Some might argue that all laws are a little strange, but I think just about anyone would be hard-pressed to argue with these – they’re some of the weirdest laws in Thailand. Now, I should mention that I have no idea whether these laws are actually still on the books at the current time, or whether they’re really enforced even if they are… But they’re pretty amusing, and the fact that they were once laws at all makes them worth sharing, even if they’re not something you should worry about today! It’s illegal to step on any of the Thai currency. Just for a laugh, I’d like to see someone throw a handful of Thai …

I am in Bangkok and looking to find who's hot and who's not. Besides the 100 degree weather. I am the guy that sits in the clubs and sees a few boys I like, but end up loosing them all to others, while I try to make up my mind. Then go home alone. Tonight I went into Hot Male and as soon as I stepped inside, there was a boy I just totally fell for. But I had a commitment for a while and figured he would be gone before I got back. All that was going thru my head was Oz saying "you like him, don't wait, off him. I went to mamasan and said I wanted to come back in an hour and take him. She said , put down 100 baht deposit and she would save him for me and she did. …

I posted about this before, but here it is in the calendar again. I have visited the very spot shown in the video, but alas not during this festival! Kanamara Festival aka the Penis Festival http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=bMHd3X6YzAw by Rebekah Sager On the first Sunday of April in Kawasaki City, Japan, the Kanayama Shrine holds a festival known casually as the “Penis Festival” on account of its huge array of multi-colored members. Known as one of Japan’s oddest festivals, the fest draws huge throbbing crowds from around the world. Visited by foreigners, especially Europeans and Americans, the unique event, has a noticeably global atmo…

  21. I am not going to try to compete with the fabulous travelogue OZ has been giving us on Brazil , because I know I would finish 2nd. But I am going to try to show more photos of the wonderful country of Thailand and I will try to add some photos of the beautiful boys when I can. Having spent as much time in Thailand as I have , many of the boys I see are repeats and photos have been posted in the past but I will do my best. I left from Seattle and flew on ANA for the first time. It only takes a short time to notice the difference in service and especially smiles of a Japanese crew vs. a USA crew. No comparison in the level of service , the quality of food etc as compared…

Gay Shanghai Sometimes, as a traveling fag you want to hit cities where the gay scene is big, out and proud. You want to know that you can find established scenes where you can just lay back and soak in the gay. That's fine and dandy – and who can complain about that? But many of us are also explorers who like to discover a gay scene in its infancy. That way, you can see how the trends are evolving and help the scene grow into a healthy and horny homo heaven. If that's the kind of gay you are, then you might want to check out Shanghai, the gay capital of China. To say the scene is new is putting it mildly: Homosexuality was only made legal in 1997, and there have been …

Okay, I am going to Shanghai during the last week of April and the start of ay. One person told me to stay around peoples square and the other told me to stay at the French concession area. I have found acceptable hotels in both. Some questions. With the subway system does it matter where I stay>? Which area has better or the most restaurants and malls? I am planning to do historical sites, museums, etc., and my boyfriend just wants to go shopping (no surprise there). Since I don't usually have a problem with subways and my BF does, the malls are probably the most important consideration. If you have been in Shanghai, I need to know where to stay. Oh, I am pla…

Hi Guys, I'll be travelling around China this spring. Where can I find fun for free? websites, venues... Where can I find fun for pay? websites, venues, recommended escorts... I've read somewhere that in China it's best to stick to reputable agencies. Which are they? Are ChinaGayStar and ChinaGayEscort one and the same? Thanks
