I love holidays in Thailand as they are so different from the way I celebrated all my life in the USA. I love the Thai people and the customs and traditions. Today was Loy Krathong. It is one of my favorite holidays in Thailand. It is at the end of the rainy season and everyone lights these beautiful lanterns and lets them ride in the sky. They also dress in traditional Thai attire and send out little ships with candles into the ocean. I just love Thailand! I am working on a video and I'll try to have soon!

Any reviews on this hotel from posters here? I hate to pay big bucks for a hotel when I am only going to arrive about 2 a.m. The Tarntawan is about $89 for a deluxe room, which is higher than I thought it would be. What I want, though, is a comfortable place to be following a 24 hour or so trip across the ocean. Sleep will be what's on my mind before bar boys. So far I am only in the planning stage- this after telling myself no trip to Thailand next year. (Blame Oz and his highly exciting posts on Thailand!) The hotel very subtly says on their website "no joiner charge."

There is so much to see and do in Pattaya and I love the gay areas. But, occasionally I like to venture into the Walking Street area for a bit of nightlife with the ladies. There is a great jazz bar the boys and I like, there are several restaurants that we like and I just like the crazy scene that is there. When you visit Pattaya, or if you live here year round, taking a night to see the sights and sounds of this area is something that everyone should do at least once. Plus, if you are really adventurous, stop be and see some of the Ping Pong Pussy shows and you will remember why you like gay guys.
