Wow didnt know its 2+ hour drive away only, thought had to fly.

Well there is an airport there, but it is a bit of a distance from Pattaya/Jomtien and has limited routes. But I guess it depends where you are coming from.

  2. I stayed at the Crowne Plaza on my most recent trip and found it quite comfortable. Yes you do have to take an elevator to the 23rd floor and then another one to your room, but apart from that, decent buffet breakfast with a variety of options (I don't usually have hotel breakfast, but because it was included in my room rate I ate it), spacious room and bathroom (with a Japanese style electronic bidet), very guest friendly, close to the BTS Sala Daeng/MRT Silom, and close to the gogo bars. A little more expensive that some of the other offerings but I would definitely stay there again.

  3. I walked past this today actually and noticed a cute little fence separating the outside of the 2 massage shops so one won’t be confused as to which masseur/masseuse belongs to which shop. I forget the name though, starts with an A and almost looks like ‘Avani’.

I follow 285 on Line and damn, the guys there are delicious. The location is a little out of the way from what I can gather though..

this I can easily believe, who would miss visiting Bangkok being so close ?

Exactly my thought process! And I had to even extend my BKK trip by 1 day as there were no flights on the day I wanted to travel from BKK to Phu Quoc. Oh well!

  6. For those who are interested, I ended up booking a few days in Phu Quoc. I haven't been to Vietnam before so I thought I would try, and it looks really nice. Khao Lak was a close second though. I wasn't planning to go to Bangkok on this trip, but I ended up also booking a few days there because I cannot stay away lol.
