After reading the reviews here, and some helpful PM tips from DevineMadman, I selected a few less-frequented shops. Here is my contribution back to this forum, for the less expert visitors Firstly a few words about me – I’m a 50s Brit, vers/bottom, and a thing about body hair, as you’ll read later! I did visit Bonny after a few drinks. Wham, bam, thank you mam. 30 minutes later and 1600 Baht lighter I was back in the Soi. All these 3 are easy to find. They are all detailed on Google Maps. Get to the nearest MRT / BTS and follow Dr Google’s instructions. You must use the Line app to communicate with them. All the smaller shops, apart from Baan Tewa manage thei…

This is an excellent introduction to a wide range of massage shops, broken down by geographical zones. Divine Madman, who maintains a blog on the topic, discusses his adventures and rates the shops on different criteria. Other members offer comments and info on these and other shops. It's great one-stop shopping for newbie and veteran alike. http://www.gaythailand.com/forums/topic/11512-info-on-a-bunch-of-bkk-massage-shops/

For the past 30 years or so, Thailand is always my favourite destination. I remember the good old days when I was much younger and cuter then. There was never a shortage of men - in public and in private. Now as I turn 55 today, those days are just faded memories of the good times then. Thank you for every encounter and Thailand, "sabai". I cannot think of a better place to see (in Asia) - the people, the food and the chaotic traffic. Yes Thailand always bring me back to earth - all the luxuries and agony of a developed nation are all melted away once I enter the nation. Milestones are aplenty. I still recall the first time back in 1983... yes that was a lo…

Hey all, Long time forum lurker, first time poster here, I’ve especially loved the trip reports some of you all post here =). I created a new handle because I was dumb enough to include my name in my other one. (Which, being as I now work in IT security you’d think I’d have known better!) Your posts of the beauty and fun to be had in Thailand have been making me think of making my first ever trip to that country, but it was hard to justify the cost and travel time (I’m from California). Luckily, I find myself in the region thanks to a business trip and I’m going to take a flight this Saturday on Thai air to enjoy Bangkok for the weekend! One semi important note,…

From Bangkok Post Learning Section Photos by Varuth Hirunyatheb Drake and Frank start a relationship The popularity of yaoi continues to grow. Yaoi TV dramas often make new stars of their actors and directors. The 2015 drama Love Sick the Series launched the career of director Rachit Kusonkoonsiri. So when he announced that he was adapting another yaoi novel, A-Tee Khong Pom (‘Cause You’re My Boy), it created a buzz. The GMM25 show stars new actors Thanatsaron Somthonglai (Frank) and Sattabut Laedeke (Drake) as Tee and Mok, two high-schoolers who fall in love but their parents don't approve of the relationship. The success of ‘Cause You’re My Boy has ear…

Hi, I’m planning a short stop in Pattaya as part of a longer trip this January, likely mid month. Probably about 4-5 Days. Wondering if people have any hotel advice? Mostly I’m wondering whether to stay closer to boyztown or Jomtien. Also interested in Sunee. Less concerned with budget than location and convenience since I’ll only be there a few days and want things to be easy. Any general advice for that time of year would be good too. I realize it’s high season but don’t really know how much of an effect that might have on the trip. Cheers in advance for any help.

i am coming for the first time next week could not be more excited! However, I have no idea what neighborhood to stay in or how to spend my days (and nights). Of course, I have read all your posts voraciously over the years but I have never seen a true FAQ about your experiences. Where do you stay? Where do you shop? Where do you go after you check-in? Also, I need to stock up on pharmaceuticals. Any recommendations for pharmacies and can I get these items easily? Citalopram Xanax Viagra Propecia (You know you're getting old when that's your shopping list.)

Gosh, I feel like this year's trip I am coming across as a bit of a downer. Maybe I have changed. Maybe the way life around me in Thailand has changed.. Not sure. But, having said that.... I have now had my fourth experience where a guy looking for a (commercial) hook-up was NOT the person his pics represented him to be. Either the pic was not him at all, or it was 10 years older and 15 pounds later. And it has happened on a variety of platforms: tonight's RentMen guy definitely mis-represented himself. A Chiang Mai masseur looked nothty ing like his pics. Two Pattaya experiences. You would think that I would have become smart by now, right? Well... no…

NOTE -- You don't have to look far in the headlines to find claims of "fake news" but I think there's a possibility this may be a fitting candidate. Below you'll find a follow up story to a claim on Twitter that a group of men were having sex in the daytime in Lumpinee Park. Below that article you find an article from the Bangkok Post from the previous day. In Post account, the Bangkok governor says he exercises there daily and has never seen the likes of it; a police general tweets that there's a 100,000 bht reward for anyone who can prove it; and a park security guard who says that he saw it in progress but all participants were--of course--foreigners. And all this is b…

I'm sorry if this is out of place. But, honestly, I'm lost. I've, of course, googled the topic, but I'm afraid I'm still lost. Just what is a line ID? Do you need an app of some kind? What do you do with it?

Stickman's narrator may have retired but I was surprised to find that contributors continue to submit posts. I sampled a handful and managed to find something of interest. For the uninitiated, this isn't-and never was--a gay themed site but the writing was always good and don't be to surprised to find restaurant and general travel tips. Check out the submissions: https://www.stickmanbangkok.com/readers-submissions/2018/

We had a drink at Dream Boys gogo bar on Pattayaland soi 1 tonight. All the twinks from Kawaii Boy Bar are there. They appear to be in their late teens and have boyish slim bodies. There are also a few bigger older boys at Dream but twinks predominate. Out of 15 boys, about ten were twinks probably averaging 45 kilos. I much preferred Dream Boys before it became a twink boy bar but many here go for twinks and this twink alert is for them. Don’t wait too long as the boys come and go.

This is my 16th trip to LOS and a short one after being away for almost 4 months. I actually had my 15th trip a few months ago and thought about writing a trip report but here we are on my 16th.
