  2. I'm just back from 10 days in BKK...Stayed at the Tarntawan and booked it sometime ago after they remodeled , 1200 baht a night net, including tax, service charge and breakfast for 2....I think that's the lowest price I've ever paid there. The staff are all still helpful and friendly. I needed a button sewed on my shirt and the housekeeper did it for me (I can't sew). Room had good a/c, good internet (that seems new for them) and the sheets were good, bed was comfortable.....They seem to show different promos on their website, which before I remember them only showing stupid rates, easier to do better with internet bookings.

A word of praise for hotels.com The Raya was booked out on my last 3 nights in Mid Jan, so we moved down the road to the Glitz hotel. We dropped off our bags and headed to Paragon for a few hours. When we got back to the room our bed was swarming with ants, as was the bathroom (note we had no food with us, so it wasn't due to that) BF went to reception and asked to change rooms, they moved us to a (smaller) room 2 flights up. As soon as we entered that room i picked up a pillow from the bed and there were 3 ants under it. The girl saw them and simply shrugged, we were told there were no more rooms and that they would not cancel our reservation as it was non refundable. I booked us into the Red planet and we checked our of Glitz and made our way down the road Later that night i went on an online chat with a hotels.com representative. They rang the hotel and asked to speak to the manager. The manager had gone home so they told me that they would call the manager on my behalf the next day. Next morning when i woke up I had an e-mail from Hotels.com to say that they had spoken with the manager of the Glitz and refunded all 3 nights to my CC and also attached a voucher for €39 towards my next stay with them. I thought that this was excellent service and they definitely have my loyalty now. I guess the fact that I booked a parallel booking in Red Planet on the same dates helped my refund case. One thing for sure is that I will never ever go back to the Glitz

  4. Sorry for being so judgmental in the topic, but it is how I feel about the escort situation here in Morocco. Escorts are everywhere and I have nothing against them. In fact, I love them, as long as they are honest about what they do, have a sense of service and be more or less fair. They are not here! The economy in Moroco is bad, so bad that few young guys have a real job and those who do make barely their rent. With the typical Arab horniness and their welcoming nature on one side, and the affluent tourists from Europe and Middle east, it could have developed a healthy and booming escort market. But unfortunately, it hasn't the been the case. The main problem is the lacking of work ethic in the whole region. I can't help comparing the situation to Cuba. Moroccans are as hot as Cubans, equally open to homosexual sex, but far less educated and ethical. Something good which came out of the communist years of Cuba is people understand in order to get something, they need to deliver something in return. Here in Morocco, they just grab and run. Which made things worse is the illegal immigration from the neighboring black African countries. Desperate situations made lots of them rotten. Several points can illustrate the issue here: First, Morocco is a muslim country. The escorts here somehow made this their avantage. Most of them are miserable and have nothing to loose, so they are not afraid of making a scene, especially the foreign black guys from Mali, Niger, etc. I met a young Moroccan cardiological doctor in Marrakech, who told me that two weeks earlier, he was obliged to pay 2000 dh (200 euros) to a disguised black escort when he refused to leave. Second, they never say they are escorts. Actually most of them deny that when you ask. You really need to be vigilant and dig really hard to get the truth. They have ambiguous way of answering your questions, such as: - I'm not escort. (But I still want some money for cab, and I paid 100 times more than normal because I was in such a hurry to get to you) - I just want to have fun. (But you have to pay) - Dont be silly, not everyone's escort. (But I am) ... When you try to let them answer just 'yes' or 'no' to a very specific question such as 'Are you going to ask me for money?', they would become silent, maybe for a day. Then they will come back talking to you as nothing had happened, until you ask them specifically again. Third, they lie about everything, they send fake photos, and they don't perform sexually. Again, if I take some examples of how they answer your questions: - They are my photos. (But they are not of me, but of a 'friend') - I'm always hard. (As hard as I can get, while you keep on sucking me) - My cock measures 25 cm. (Seriously you believe that? How fool) Just to resume, the escort market here is sick and disgusting. And it spoils the normal fun market, too. When people don't have any ethical bottom line, anything can happen. I personally would not recommend Morocco to those who want to meet local boys for fun.

Immoderate PS: Oneself knew Packer in college, and every word he writes can be taken as holy writ. He is extremely both intelligent and ethical. And meticulously careful in his research.

Of course, my BF shows up in Suvarnabhumi with only the clothes on his back, his phone and his tablet. 3 weeks later he is hauling 30kgs of new stuff with him and blaming me for making him walk from The Raya to The Glitz!

Oh and a few words on the Red Planet Surawong As others have written the rooms are very small. They may be ok for to sleep in with an occasional overnight guest or ST visitor, but as someone that was travelling with my BF, the room was totally unsuitable for 3 nights. We were at the end of a 3 week trip and there was no room for 2 suitcases etc On the plus side: Clean and bright rooms, excellent AC, absolute dark blackout blinds, Fast lifts, Friendly staff, 7-11 onsite, 6-7 min walk from Wat Hualumpong and the new Mall at Samyan Mitrtown I even managed to get my BF to walk from there to Patpong (a miracle!)

Of course, Hillary Clinton would at least think about vice president of it was offered. She didn't want to be secretary of state, but ultimately agreed when Barack Obama kept asking. On SOS, I am quoting the recent Richard Holbrooke biography by George Packer.

  14. Used to get HE offered 1 in 4 times i went there. But last year, none of them offered out of my 3 trips to thailand. I always take the oil massage, and almost always the massage is very sensual and i always choose from the ipad except when its peak season (between christmas and new year)

  15. I really like -- and recommend -- Prime. I think they do very good well-trained Thai massages. I had an oil massage there once, also fine, but I like their Thai massages and I feel very comfortable with the level of training they have so I've never had to worry about a masseur putting to much stress on my knees (or any other joint) as they fold and unfold my aching body. (This is something I worry about. In the same way a poorly-trained yoga instructor can guide you to injury, a poorly-trained Thai masseur can twist too far or at the wrong angle.) I do like a very hard/strong Thai massage, and they know that, so I get that rigorous massage with the guys I can trust at Prime. Oh the pain, the delicious pain! Not sure their prices are particularly out-of-line with the massage factories nearby along Surawong or Silom, but I'm happy with the all-male masseurs set up, and I do I like the facilities. Always clean and nice. So I've never had any doubts about the value-for-money. When it's party weekend I also enjoy the eye candy as it seems every cute guy from SE Asia is there getting a massage too. I've certainly had my share (or more than my share) of HE's there, but also most of the times I go there I'm not looking for a Happy Ending, just a good massage, so I'll usually tell the guy no if he asks. Maybe 40% of the time I'm asked? but I usually decline anyway. For me, not every massage needs a happy ending. The standard advice remains true - if you need a happy ending definitely don't go to Prime. It's that simple. I remember when you could go any time to Prime and walk in and get a massage. Now I know when to avoid or the crowds or to book ahead. But the old days were nice....

    The prime massage ending

The answer to the first question (has anyone had HE there) is a yes. The answer to the second question (do they even do that) is a clear "it depends". In my experience, the general rule at Prime is that HE is NOT happening. But as "general rules" go, there are exceptions and it very much depends on the individual masseur and presumably his mood in that particular moment, how he perceives the given customers body (attractive, acceptable, unattractive, or whatever), maybe his need for extra tip that day, and not to forget the constellation of the stars. I've had many many massages there where nothing happened or was even hinted at. Including raging hard-on's being flatly ignored. Then again in the rarer instances they'd just proceed to take care of said hard-on, or asked about it. I had a regular there (who unfortunately left about a year ago), who I booked for his (for me) outstanding massages. First several sessions, hard-on's went ignored. Then one day all of a sudden he gave a HE. But even then that didn't become the rule with him. On the other hand, I had another regular there (sadly also left) who gave the most sensual and erotic massage ever, including a superb super skilled HJ. And that happened every time I booked him (which I did when I wanted that, as opposed to just a good massage which is my main and usually only reason to go to Prime). So bottom line is: it clearly depends.
