I purchased a ticket for a friend to meet me in Phuket once. We were not flying together and I was aware that Airlines may ask to see the credit card used when checking in.
To avoid any problems I went to the airline office before he flew to have my credit card sighted. They then put a message in his booking which ensured no issues at check in.
Of course immigration may be a different matter.

quite possible that I am wrong because there are no windows and I mixed it up. Cellars are rare in BKK because the groundwater is close to the surfaced
It feels like its underground but you enter from upstairs and I don't think there are any windows.
Probably an area behind the entry/reception.

Lots of choices for breakfast at a very good price. Service and food very good.

Never encountered mbs.
Any sauna can be hit or miss but generally you will pick up if you have a bit of patience. Obviously some places are more amenable to the older generation.

Saunas in the R3 group were know to charge entry based on age. R3 and Sauna Mania in particular. I am not sure if this is continuing following the pandemic.
Heaven, Underground 39 and Krubb do not have increased entry fees based on age but may have reduced entry fee for under 25s or similar.

Still there but that section of Second Road is as dead as due to empty shops and undergrounding of services currently underway.
No more than two staff out front most times I went past.

I watched it here:

As for food, Bangkok and Bangkok only has 7 1/2 stars Foodland Patpong.
Pattaya also has Foodland (Took Lae Dee). One in Royal Garden Plaza and another in Terminal 21 but I have not set eyes on the one in T21.
Perhaps their star rating doesn't match the patpong branch. 😋

I was at GSM sauna once when the towels caught fire in the dryer. The staff were busy pulling them out onto the floor and into the corridor . The corridor lead to the locker room (one way in and out). Luckily it was extinguished fairly quickly.
Some years later a fire did occur in the building claiming one sauna patron.

I agree the benefit of this service would not be great in these times. Just providing info for those still interested.
Although I wouldn't say no to a buggy ride from the gate to immigration sometimes.

The wonderful French restaurant, Le Bouchon which used to be hidden away on Patpong 2 for 20 years or more closed a few months ago.
Rumours have it that it has re-opened on Sathorn soi 1 in an ex-Babylon building --- true or not?
Correct

But probably not open yet.

You should seriously consider Penang or KL. Not expensive. No gay areas as such but plenty of options for massage and saunas. Log on to some apps and test your popularity (or not). 😜
