Visited Screwboy last night. ...Might go back, all pleasant enough, but on balance probably won’t return on this trip, although good to visit for nostalgia’s sake as it was the original Patpong Soi two gay bar, ...

That's not correct. There have been gay bars on Patpong 2 since the 80s. Earlier bars that come to mind include Tiffany, Narcissus and The Mask. Screw Boy only opened in the mid-90s.

Lots of cute young Chinese(from Taiwan?) waiting outside.

🤢🤢🤢🤢 🤢🤮🤮 The last thing that I want to hear is that the Chinese are returning in numbers now. Literally the last thing. One of the best things about visiting Thailand in 2022 was the almost complete absence of the Chinese. On those few occasions when one had the misfortune of encountering them, it was almost always unpleasant, such as the shitty toilet episode described on another thread. The Chinese tour groups are now even back on Walking Street apparently and it will only get worse. Bangkok, and Thailand, are a lot more fun without them. One can only hope that Chinese "influencers" calling Thailand unsafe and that silly Chinese film  "No More Bets" will have the reported effect of deterring them from visiting Thailand.

Arena ...Pleased to note that the old brown sofas that must have been there for twenty years had finally been replaced by new purple seating.

The end of an era. They were part of the original decor.

  2. Yes, the scene at Phahoon started to die once the bloated, pasty, wrinkled, hairy old farang started showing-up. It is very much a Thai for Thai scene there and the bloated old hairballs were the last thing the Thais wanted. Many of them simply stopped coming ( please avoid the urge to attempt a tired pun ).

Conversely, the reported decline of the Phahon scene has dissuaded the pasty old hairballs from trekking "all the way" there, which has encouraged the Thais to return. I wonder if your post will lead to a second decline for it...

Found this map of Pattaya's Sunee Plaza dated 2010. The gay go-go bars are marked in blue. I can see 13 - and this was before Winner Boys opened. Of the rest, I think only Nice Boys continues to exist. I was only rarely in Pattaya but did sometimes enjoy walking through the Plaza and stopping at Yaya's bar for a drink before popping into two different types of go-go bars - Krazy Dragon and Happy Boys. I really wonder: how did it all disappear so quickly?

    Map_of_Sunee_Plaza_May_2010.thumb.gif.ae818ac433e9c220953631bf45b3cc6a.gif

Sunee Plaza began to die when the police finally began to get serious about cracking down on underaged boys in the bars and those who used to hang around that area, generally. No, not all the bars in Sunee offered underaged boys and not everyone who went there was into that sort of thing but Sunee was a hotbed of that kind of thing. Once the police started cracking down in earnest, the gaps started showing very quickly. As the lights went out for good in some bars and as many "Sunee fans" stopped coming, the place lost momentum. Good riddance. Sunee was a shit hole and far cry from what Boyztown or Soi Twilight were.

It is sad that on another forum, which now largely consists of the owner speaking to himself, that period is still described as the good old days, with a little nudge and wink.

As an older man like you and I, I am afraid that this is yes.  However, you can always make a fool of yourself if you like.  I heard the easiest way to mingle is to stay at a backpackers shared bunker hostel, those young guys can keep talking about sexy Thai women.

You could always try a nursing home instead. Might have luck with your peer group.

I searched the forum to try to get more information on Prime Massage. I'm wondering if the masseuses are all male. I like to get legit massages when in Bangkok, but prefer men for obvious reasons, but also women tend to make me feel uncomfortable because if it's going to go in a naughty direction, I'd much rather it be with a man, and I find some women have to work too hard on my stiff body and it ends up hurting. I prefer big, fleshy male hands (as well as other body parts)...but I digress. Can someone provide more info on Prime Massage? Why type of place is it? Any tips for a satisfying experience? I'll be staying in Silom, so it sounds like it's convenient.

Prime does a very good massage service and it is completely legitimate. Rooms are comfortable with mattresses on the floor and the loos are clean. Most of their masseurs are male and you will usually be assigned a male masseur by default.

I have to say though that the quality of massage is not what it was before the pandemic. They have many new masseurs working there who don't have the experience of those who left. All masseurs are well-trained though and it is not the kind of place where you should expect anything to happen - although one fat, old sex pest on here groped the guy who was giving him a massage and then boasted about it on this forum. That's just bad form. Those guys are professionally trained and choose to work in Prime precisely because they aren't interested in being groped by desperate geriatrics. Don't be that guy.

Tommy / Tami (depending on who is pronouncing his name) is one of their best masseurs. Ask for him by name if you want an excellent Thai massage. On top of the published cost of the massage, there is also a minimum tip for a masseur of 100 baht. Do treat that as an absolute minimum. A good massage should get at least double that.

Boo, I posted my comment in direct response to the chronic complainer and know-it-all @Department_Of_Agriculture , who posted a lengthy comment ore than 24 hours ago. He had chastised you for paying too much! And you reacted to his post in the same way I did! 😎

What a strange and silly little comment this is.

In my earlier - and only other - post on this thread, I did not even mention the price he had paid, let alone chastise him for overpaying. I am all in favour of "overpaying" rather than underpaying.

The "overpaying" comment that you are referring to came from @macaroni21 which you responded to further up on this page.

In any event, the question of @revengeboo overpaying hardly arises given that he did not pay the boy anything at all. Having got what he asked for - literally asked for - he then paid the boy nothing because he was dissatisfied with the way the boy was banging him. To quote his own words:

    Quote

"So needless to say, no tip, and  - 1 out of 5 stars, cannot recommend them until they get better on-the-job training, hiring orientation, and customer service."

This "chronic complainer" did not chastise the self-righteous, entitled, sex tourist for overpaying; I lambasted him for not paying the boy at all.

However, the session, which started with much promise, took a turn. Barely five minutes into the massage, which began with routine strokes on my back and legs, a pain struck my sphincter.   Wait what?  I turn around and he is wearing a condom and trying to stick it in my ass.   I crane my neck over and scream, “Do you have any lube? That hurts!” He looks at me curiously.  He tries again.  I then flipped over and pointed to the massage oil container that he had barely used.  He then seems to understand what lubricant is and adds a dollop to his very large cock, 8 inches and thick, and tries again, this time we are missionary as I had flipped around.  And he begins jackhammering me as if this were some rape porn fantasy on steroids.  I finally settled that this is not going to work by shoving him off me.  He gets the message and scurries out of the room.   After my shower and tending to a brutalized orifice I storm down to the reception. The attendant has a beaming smile and asks, ‘Did you get a happy ending?’ while mimicking a blow job, poking his tongue on the inside of his cheek.  I explained there was nothing happy about the experience and it was horrible and I had literally only been away for twenty minutes.  He then explained that he was sorry but it was this masseur's first day - that was it.  No refund, offer to press charges, nothing.   So needless to say, no tip, and  - 1 out of 5 stars, cannot recommend them until they get better on-the-job training, hiring orientation, and customer service.

What a lot of drama and nonsense over nothing really. The fault is entirely yours. You went there and picked a guy who was clearly labelled a top, which made clear to him at least what he thought you wanted and he attempted to provide it. He was doing what he was being paid to do - to screw a queen. He tried fucking you and you told him to fuck you with lube - not to stop trying to fuck you, so that's what he did. He was doing what you told him to do. If you wanted him to stop, you should have just said Stop!,Stop! said No! or held-up your hand. It is not as if the guys are too stupid to understand basic sign language or basic words like No.

"I finally settled that this is not going to work by shoving him off me." - that level of drama was entirely unnecessary and one can only imagine how traumatised the boy must have been by such an encounter on his first day at work - first he had to fuck some foreign queen he wasn't remotely attracted to, then he gets shoved away by the queen, and then the person refuses to pay anything to the boy who actually did what he was hired to do. Telling him to stop would have been enough. It's not as if he was living out one of his fantasies by fucking you.

Miscommunications happen all the time and in this case someone on their first visit to Bangkok encountering a boy on his first day at work was rife with the potential for things to go wrong and none of this would not actually warrant comment apart from your genuinely moronic suggestion that they should have offered to "press charges." Press charges for what? For fucking you with lube like you asked him to?

One could easily end this post with with a genuinely bitchy remark, but I'll just end it right here by saying  that the fault for the fuck-up was entirely yours. It was the boy who ended-up getting screwed.

  8. They ignored the evidence because they wanted the massacre to happen. They wanted the massacre to happen because that piece of shit Binyamin Netanyahu is facing criminal charges for bribery and fraud in three separate criminal cases in Israel and was facing the risk of his government collapsing. A nice little slaughter and war was precisely what he thought would turn him from criminal to hero with his "heroic" response. After all, what are a few thousand dead Jewish and Palestinian kids compared to the greater good eh?

Of course it goes deeper than that. This piece of shit, who calls himself by the false name "Netanyahu" to pretend that he has some ancestral connection to the region, has long sought the elimination of the Palestinians and to completely destroy any possibility of a real Palestinian state. This nice little massacre that he knowingly permitted provided precisely the excuse that he needed to put his bloody plans into action. Palestinians weren't told to move from North Gaza to southern Gaza for their own protection; they were ordered to move so that North Gaza could be annexed by the Zionists. If protecting civilians had been the goal, they would not have been dropping bombs on kids as they evacuated and they would not have been dropping bombs on kids in southern Gaza.

Alongside that, this piece of shit has specifically attempted to wipe-out the Palestinian Christian community- the oldest Christian community in the world - in targeted attacks. Witness the targeted attack on the ancient Saint Porphyrius Church in Gaza City where the Christians were sheltering. What had they to do with Hamas? Saint Porphyrius Church is the third-oldest functioning church in the world and the existence of this ancient Palestinian community is an affront to those who make false claims of ownership on that land. By contrast, this Binyamim, whose real surname is Mileikowsky, is of Russian and Polish ghetto heritage with no historic connection to the land of Palestine.

The redeeming feature of this tragic episode, though, is how it has woken so many up around the world though. In America, the youth who have long been lied to about what is going-on in Palestine have been woken-up by images of screaming kids their own age being blown apart by bombs and are speaking out and taking direct action. Change is coming. That piece of shit who calls himself Netanyahu allowed the massacre to happen because he thought it beneficial to himself and that it would enable the final obliteration of Palestine. As the truth comes out though, it may prove to be his final doing. I look forward to seeing this rat in The Hague.

In the meantime, the blood of the dead children, Jews and Palestinians alike, is on his hands and on the hands of those who back him.

  9. What do any of these recent posts have to do with the topic of this thread? Here, yet again, we see a thread being hijacked and derailed by the usual old flamers who clearly have too much free time on their hands and are perpetually looking to start arguments to help them pass their empty hours - from a so-called reader who can't read to the pseudo-progressive Muslim-hater who is cheering-on the slaughter of Palestinian kids on a different thread.

If this argument belongs anywhere, it should be in the Beer Bar. Let the maggots gnaw on it over there. They have obviously brought it here because they aren't getting the attention they crave on that lonely corner of the forum.

@TotallyOz should consider moving these irrelevant posts out of what would be a fairly useful thread to some if it remained on topic.

Older or out of shape customers of any race usually don't get much actions in any sauna that is not pay for play.  Of course some older farangs think they are special.

Indeed. The online geriatrics who warble on about how great the attitudes of the boys where 30 or 40 years ago seem to forget that they were 30 or 40 years younger than and 30 or 40 years less revolting to the Thai guys back then. Expecting a boy in his 20s to have the same reaction to a 70 year old as we would to an average guy in his 30s, 40s or even 50s is just silly.

Then you have the geriatrics who comfort themselves by saying "old people are respected in Thailand"; and that is perfectly true. Respect, however, does not mean that they are going to be enthusiastic about fucking you.

Equally delusional are the ones who think that just because the boys are there for the money, they are somehow blind or indifferent to whom they are servicing - or, rather, to whom is requesting their services. We all work for money, we all turn down jobs where we are put-off by the work or the client - or we demand an extra high price for doing it to make-up for our revulsion or lack of enthusiasm. It works the same way with boys. When I read reports about boys quoting "ridiculous" prices or showing a lack of enthusiasm, it often seems lost on the poster that he is simply sending a message that he is not interested in going with you  - it isn't a bad attitude in general, it's just a lack of enthusiasm for you. Boys are not machines with no personal preferences.

Of course, there are also guys who would genuinely prefer to go with an older man with a wrinkled, hairy, sagging arse than a fit younger guy if the oldie has the better attitude. In general though, it makes sense to adjust your expectations to where you are in life. Honestly, how enthusiastic would you be about getting into bed with what you see starting back at you in the mirror?

The corollary to that is those whining about the decline or death of the Thai scene. That reality is that the scene is doing just fine and most boys have great attitudes and the moaners are going to be dead long before the Thai scene is.

All the above applies as much to prospects at Chakran and Krubb as it does to the commercial scene.

Biden has killed millions of civilians in many countries.  And he is idolized by various idiots here.

I think a better way of putting that would be to say that this warmonger has supported every war and conflict since first being elected to the Senate in 1972.

As Rand Paul said, Joe Biden “voted for the Iraq War … He supported war in Serbia, Syria, Libya.” Of course, the pearl-clutching "progressives" will now be ready to squeal that Rand Paul is a lying PoS etc., but even according to the left-wing "fact-checker" Politifact "Paul’s claim is accurate". The evidence is so damning that even they can't hide it.

    https://www.politifact.com/factchecks/2020/aug/26/rand-paul/fact-checking-rand-paul-joe-biden-and-support-wars/

Those down-voting Kostik's statement above can do their own research on how many kids died in those conflicts that "Joe" voted for and supported. How much of it is greed and evil and how much of it is pure stupidity is the real question. On that point, remember that it was Barack Obama's Defence Secretary, Robert Gates who said "Biden has been wrong on nearly every major foreign policy question for the last forty years". Okay, so the generous conclusion that we are meant to reach is that the man is an imbecile and the result is a million dead kids.

Still, considering the opinion of that "progressive" piece of shit Obama advisor, Mr Seldowitz, quoted above that "If we killed 4,000 Palestinian kids, you know what? It wasn’t enough”, I doubt that a million dead kids from the wars that Biden voted for will give "progressives" any reason to sour on him. After all, a million is just a number, right?

  13. Indeed, we should all be terribly excited by these "progressives"...

Here is one such "progressive", Mr Stuart Seldowitz, who formerly served as head of Barack Obama's National Security Council South Asia division, unleashing a tide of anti-Muslim vitriol on a Muslim street food vendor in New York. Take a good look and a good listen to the real views of "progressives". This one takes the cake -“If we killed 4,000 Palestinian kids, you know what? It wasn’t enough.”

Mr Seldowitz is apparently a progressive Jew and according to his lawyer, Mr Bookstein, “He’s a peace-loving person devoid of hate for Muslims or anyone else." That undoubtedly explains his peace-loving comment above and his "Did you rape your daughter like Muhammad?” question.

One would think that as a member of a group that suffered oppression for centuries, he might have been a little bit less of a racist piece of shit. Not that he has much to worry about even after being busted and charged. There will no doubt be plenty ready to accuse the victims of his abuse of antisemitism for revealing this piece of shits behaviour in the first place. That is already the defence that this "progressive" scumbag is attempting to mount in court and to the press.

“If we killed 4,000 Palestinian kids, you know what? It wasn’t enough.”  - this is the view of a "progressive" who runs foreign policy when he thinks he isn't on camera.

The funniest part is the sleazy lobbying firm at which he works claiming that they have dropped him after the videos were released, calling the video “vile, racist, and beneath the dignity of the standards we practice at our firm.” They didn't drop him because they found out about his views; they dropped him because we found out about his views.

Almost a week now this web site not available...do you know why?

Who is behind the DOS attack on the ASEAN Now (previously known as Thai Visa) forum this week? Thailand’s largest expat forum has been inaccessible since early afternoon Thursday Thai time and as at the time of publishing this column, it has yet to come back online. In response to email, ASEAN Now explained that the outage is due to a DOS attack (denial of service). These sorts of attacks are typically the work of someone with an axe to grind – of which the forum seems to have plenty of potential candidates – or in the case of big businesses, may be a blackmail attempt.

it looks Dreamboys is trying to follow their policy from soi Twilight when they were also most expensive bar (drink 650 if I recall correctly)

Yes, thankfully. They have gone back to their Soi Twilight policy of "Only Thai Boys" and of having the most expensive drinks of any bar. First drink at Dream Boy was 550 baht on Soi Twilight in 2019, not 650 baht. In real terms however, their drink price today is actually lower than it was in 2019. Even if we take inflation at just 4% per year since 2019, the price of a drink at Dream Boy toady is 470 baht in 2019 terms. In real terms, prices have gone down, not up. Real inflation - especially urban inflation - has actually been higher than that since the pandemic, though.

Similarly, the average asking price for a short time at Dream Boy was 2,000 baht on Soi Twilight and that is still what many - or most - of them ask for. At 4% inflation, that now comes to about 1,700 baht in 2019 terms. Even the boys who ask for 2,500 baht today are only asking for fractionally more than the average Dream Boy price on Soi Twilight in real terms.

    I. therefore, find it hard to agree when some people complain that Bangkok is now overpriced.

Unfortunate but not unexpected. His previous video was on Patpong 1 and the touts, bouncers and girls there are much more cagey about being filmed. He obviously carried that caution over to Patpong 2 as well. Would have been nice if he had panned the camera when passing the boy bars, but each focuses on what interests us.

  19. The first video I have seen that features the new Sol bar, as well as Virgin, that new straight bar that recently opened towards the Silom end of Patpong 2.  Some familiar faces in that video.

It was shot on Friday night last week. A bit quiet for a Friday night, but it might just have been early. The video was shot by someone on their first visit to Patpong, The wide-eyed "can this actually be happening?" tone is amusing in its own right. A nice reminder of how overwhelming, how exhilarating it can all e the first time.
