Just back from 3.5 weeks in LOS (Pattaya, Phuket, and Bangkok). During this trip, I noticed that the concept of appearance fees (aka tips for entertainment) seems to have become a requirement. Recently spent three nights in BKK on my way to Cambodia. Here is a report: Day 1 Arrived early in the morning. Immigration took about 30 minutes of standing in line, which was perfect timing as my bag literally appeared on the baggage belt, the moment I arrived to collect it. Two weeks in Bangkok. Decided to stay in Airbnb instead of hotel. Found a unit in an old condo building in Soi 3. Stay for 1 week then 2nd week move to usual Le Meridien. Hi guys I like to have some standard "go to" requests, questions, likes and wishes translated into the local language before my trip. Traveling to places like Mexico or Japan, that's pretty straight forward - one choice for a language based on the country.
