I usually buy bananas at Tops supermarket. Almost always, the skins have some dark patches, or they are distinctly greenish and clearly nor ready to be eaten. Recently, the quality of the fruit has been dreadful. The worst was last week when I purchased some seemingly perfectly long yellow ones from TOPS supermarket, only to find that they were rotting from the inside out. They all went in to the trash. I discovered ages ago that bananas keep best in a wine cooler. But where can one find decent bananas that that are ready to eat and not half rotten? I really do not mind so much about the price. Went to Nice Boys last night about 8PM an no one there. It was early and I was told to come back in 1 hour. I went back at 10PM with a friend to celebrate his birthday. OMG The stage was packed with sexy guys. Everyone looked over 18. They had tons of customers. The boys all seemed to be having a great time. It was business as usual in the Plaza last night. Throughout the threads many have written about long term boyfriends with a level of cynicism. These inputs have made me reflect on a few points. I read (and hear from friends) a great deal of concern about the monetary imbalance in these relationships. Almost always the farang is the major contributor to the financial stability of these pairings. Today I stopped at the gas station on South Pattaya road. I asked them to fill my motorbike gas tank and happened to notice that the attendant did not clear the display. When he was done he asked for 120 baht. I took the money out to pay him and pulled up put back on my gas cap. I noticed that the next bike asked for 50 baht and the attendant agin did not reset the pump to zero. I said to the attendant "excuse me quotation". It was at this time that he pulled out 60 baht and gave it to me. So be careful. Make sure the attendant re-sets the pump.
