I have eaten at Cherry's a number of times and have always been very satisfied. Tonight my bf and I went there. On Fridays they have all you can eat BBQ ribs with salad bar, steak fries, corn on the cob, coffee or tea and banana split, tiramisu or fresh fruit plate for dessert for 270 baht. The ribs were tender and tasty and one plate of ribs was plenty, but the waiter offered to bring more. The only minor thing was that the ribs came while we were still eating our salad. It is definitely the place to go for ribs in my book.

What about getting a disease from giving or getting oral with bar boys and Thais you meet? How risky is it? What have your experiences been? I'm planning to be in Thailand soon and giving and getting oral is my sex of choice. Scanning the posts, particularly the ones from Pattaya, I get the impression that a lot of you have a different guy every night. What have the consequences been?

For those of you who love Indian food, you may already know that there are a number of excellent Indian restaurants in Pattaya. My favorite is a "hole-in-the-wall" restaurant called Ravi, within walking distance of both Pattayaland and Sunee Plaza. It's on Soi 16. From Pattayaland just walk past the school, where all the baht buses line up to pick up passengers heading toward the beach, and you'l easily spot Soi 16. Has anyone ever found a web site that provides good Thai to English translation? You might as well forget about sites such as Google Translate. It would have to improve just to do a half-assed job. I rarely get any results other than incomprehensible drivel. If any of you know of any sites at which you can actually get a decent translation, please let us know.

On Thursday Night, Police Major Chaiyagrit and a team of officers served an arrest warrant on two foreign nationals at the Argyl Apartments on the Pratamnuk Road in South Pattaya. Up the soi,on the left, you'll spot a yellow sign with a palm tree logo. That's Canary Bay. We've become regulars there. It's open air with virtually no atmosphere, but we love the food. I was informed this morning that the Thai Consulate in New Orleans will no longer issue long term visas, including retirement visas. Checked with the Thai Embassy in Washington and they confirmed that these visas will only be issued by the embassy and not its consulates.
