Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva said Friday that if necessary teargases may be used to prevent protesters from storming into the Government House complex. But the use of teargases would be the last measure the government would resort to if protesters attempt to storm in and seize the complex, Abhisit said. The protesters led by the Democratic Alliance Against Dictatorship plan to rally at the Government House Saturday to demand the government to give in to their four-point demand, including replacing the current charter with the 1997 one and dissolving the House.

In the post about Favorite Go-Go, many concerns and suggestions were put forth about making sure the person was of the legal age as indicated on the ID card. For those that may be a member of one of the expats club, I wish someone who have a rep from the Immigration, police and prosecutors offices appear to ask how people are protected from this kind of scam. If a person uses his best judgment, examines the card, has the hotel clerk examine the id, how can he(customer) be held as trying to break the law? Forget the argument that prostitution is illegal. Have the authorities answer the questions. What do others think?

There are lots of holidays that we are not used to, being foreign. Many of the holidays I really look forward to and have a great time. Part of loving Thailand is taking in all the culture and being a part of all their events. When a special event is coming up, many get excited and make plans. The bar boys love the holidays when the bar is closed and they get a break off from their regular routine. Me, I love Songkran the most. What is your favorite event in Thailand? My favorite gogo, based on number of visits in the last couple of months, is Euroboys. It has comfortable seating, spotlessly clean restrooms, non-pushy mamasans, good music at the right volume, lighting and decor that gives an electric feel, and Singha for only 100 baht which is quite low for a gogo. But really none of this matters that much and it's really about the boys. One's a really good dancer and it's fun to watch him dance. If he was in a joint with 140 baht beer and urine on the floor, I'd probably go there. So at the end of the day, I suspect one's favorite gogo is more about the boys than anything else.

I read that there are new rules requiring that one use the immigration office where he is located. This will become effective 15 February. I note that while the gay hotels in Phuket lower their rates in the low season , both the hotels in boystown seem to keep them the same for the whole year . At this time with most western countries in recession and the thai bht still trading high , why dont these two hotels offer discounts or lower their rates

The airport is Chiang Mai is busy. There are many tourists that come on and go. I was told the average stay in the city is 3 days so you can imagine how fast things go in the city. Lots of tourists and lots of activities are always going. We took Thai air from Bangkok to Chiang Mai. We chose business class only as it was a slight bit more than economy class with fully changeable dates. The cost for the tickets was about 7500 baht each. We flew one guy in from Udon and it was 6,000 bath for his ticket. He had to fly up on Air Asia. We used Thai Air as I wanted my points and my miles. Stopping by Gentlemen Beer Bar tonight I had a very good talk with the owner. He has owned the bar for 17 years. Most will remember it as a go-go bar. A while a go he closed the go-go bar and went home to take care of his ill mother. When he returned, he opened it as a beer bar. Anyway, tonight was his last night. He said that business is just too slow to continue. It is too bad I feel as it must be one of the best decorated beer bar in Pattaya.
