Hey guys, Making final arrangements for my family trip to BKK and Krabi. Landing in 2 weeks! My in-laws are landing in Suvernahbumi 2 days before we arrive. I want to make sure they pass everything smoothly. Any recommendations of a service agency that can do a meet and greet at the airplane door, mini golf car, fast lane of passports and car to the city. Thanks!

I missed something big I think. I saw that Dicks Cafe has not found a new home as Soi Twilight in Bangkok is closing. Is that true? What are the details, when, bars moving to? Thanks...

  3. It was so sad to see last night, the night of their anniversary, the performers and staff of Strangers sitting outside the closed bar for photos clutching anniversary bouquets. Strangers is a VERY popular drag show bar with shows every night. I fear they will have no work for a while yet. What happened? Early yesterday evening, before opening, smoke was seen billowing from the bar. Staff from other bars tried to enter with fire extinguishers but there was too much smoke. Not too long later the fire truck arrived with lots of firemen (and one fire-woman). A lot of excitement as they went in in gas masks and paraphernalia. Then after a while t…

I recently visited the new(?) G boys at wall street soi and was wondering if anyone understands t How that place works? When i visited on wed the place was practically empty except for one other person. 350 for entrance and an extremely watered down. I offered 16 a drink(350) only to find out that he was more of the DJ there and not part of the show. Was a very sweet guy and pleasantly surprised to find out that he is gay. As it was my first time, i made a mistake of assuming their second show was at midnight only to find out it starts at 1am...The other boys there also seemed quite bored as there was really nothing much happening, inaddition to a very nosy mamasan con…

I haven’t been to Bangkok for Songkran and am curious what it’s like. Is anyone there this week and able to report? Especially around the Silom area. With some inconvenience I may be able to switch my overnight transit stop on 16 April to Bangkok. Is it still worthwhile and will festivities still be ongoing at night in the bars?

  6. Started by forky123,

Hope someone who’s stayed there can assist. I’m currently booked in there on my next trip but will need a reasonable WiFi connection in my room (normally I don’t really care). Anyone any idea if the WiFi here is acceptable? Thanks.

Hi. Are the coronation festivities early next month going to affect the opening hours of entertainment venues/venues serving alcohol? Any anticipated closures? I'm going to be in Bangkok the first week of May - plans made more than eight months ago. Thanks in advance.

So with the demise of Soi T, where is the new Maxis going to be ? Not the bar but the place to sit, look, checkout the passing traffic. Is there anywhere in Patpong Soi 2 ??

  9. Started by Jamg03s,

Hello everyone and thanks for all the information thus far! Since I will be in BKK for the month of May, does anyone have any good recommendations for a month-long gym membership near Silom? Would need free weights (bench, squat rack) and one with a good number of lookers would be a bonus... Thanks in advance!

Normally I go to LoS either Oct/Nov or Feb/Mar. Next year for various reasons I can’t go my “normal” times but I have found a really great deal for end of June. I’m wondering how the weather is late June. Not just the rain, but also heat/humidity? How quiet is it that time of year? Any experiences or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

I’m going to be Bangkok temporarily for the month of May and haven’t been out in the gay scene there before. Wanted to see if anyone was wanting to meet up and explore/show me around/show me the ropes/etc.? I am originally from CA, 28yo Asian. Hit me up! Thanks!

From The Nation (6 Apr.) ‘It’s complicated,’ says the artist who got Prayut and Thaksin to ‘shake hands’, now tackling other issues Patpong , Bangkok’s most notorious red-light area, seems a likely enough place to provoke a discussion about sexual attitudes in this country. Even better, have the discussion at Candle Light Studio, a new gallery for naughty art above the Barbar Fetish Club on Patpong Soi 2. The provocateur is the masked graffiti artist who calls himself Headache Stencil, fresh from skewering the junta government and chaotic election in his previous show, “Thailand Casino”. The exhibition, “Sex …

  17. I am often surprised how money boys memorize you and recognize you. I have only rarely encountered that it was clearly fake and I was sure we never met. It happened also this current trip. Two boys I had only offed ones, still remembered me. (And I remembered them, but that is not strange, I see no boys at all between trips, while they keep seeing customers when I am back home). How do they do it? My last visit was October. Now at my current visit we are 5 months further in time. In these 5 months they must have had quite some other customers. Others recognize this?

Excerpted from The Nation (3 Apr.) Meanwhile, Bang Rak District Office director Pakaporn Sanguansak said people can splash water at each other to celebrate Songkran on Silom Road from April 13 to 15 but there would be no organised party or vendors. Some of you may be excited to know that the guy that appears in BravoFucker videos is in Bangkok and ready for hire

  21. Having enjoyed my first trip so much last December, I am now planning another trip to BKK again. I am going to have a couple weeks off end of this month into early May. But I am still a bit worried about conditions in BKK in light of recent general elections.

  22. I have read the reports here. I have seen the photos here. But, still hard to believe until you see in person. I came to Bangkok in 2002 and this was the first place I visited and I fell in love with the area. Seeing things all boarded up and gone was a bit sad. The end of an era has now come. This is the last weekend for a few of those bars. Most are moving or disappearing. I hope the area still maintains enough venues for all the boys as I saw many boys at Screwboys tonight but the seats suck and not a good view of the stage unless you get the right seat.

  23. After we left Moonlight we decided to go to Screwboys since they open late night. We entered the bar, initially shocked by cigarette smoking ambience and on second look, the place was packed with 30+boys all shapes and sizes, very very thin almost starving looking boys included.I couldn’t see the back of the bar clearly but the bar seemed full of customers. I found ex Jupiter boy smiling at me, he moved to Moonlight last November but now he is at Screwboys. We sat at near stage as the good seats were already filled with customers. All boys were wearing white and blue striped underwear and the place looked like an old fashioned sleazy gogo bar from old…

From The Nation (23 Mar.) Chiang Mai on Saturday remained the most air-polluted city in the world for the second consecutive day, according to the AirVisual.com website. AirVisual reported at 9.13am that the air quality index (AQI) of Chiang Mai on Saturday stood at 385, much higher than the 100 AQI safety standard. The northern capital has been covered with white smog for almost two weeks, prompting Chiang Mai residents to wear N95 air-filter marks outdoors. The Chiang Mai University, the Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna and Chiang Mai provincial administration confirmed that the air quality in the city remained critical. …

Saturday 23 March 2019 i was aware that this was going to happen today and was expecting see lots of election activity - posters, loud speaker vans, street meetings with speeches. However I have seen nothing like that at all so far and wonder if the people have given up on democracy after years of military dictatorship ?. i have asked in bars about it but have received non commital replies like “yes bars closed tomorrow”. I asked my boyfriend du jour last night in bed if he was going to vote but I didn’t understand his reply so didn’t pursue the matter. It’s 7:30 am and he has just gone. Have a little breakfast and then tour about a little although it seems one …
